Planning a Neutral-aligned party, any suggestions for themes? I like ones that reference my favourite characters but I try and get as close to them as I can.

playing EE version on Steam on core rules, I like to use custom portraits and as close as I can get for builds of each character (see my good and evil comp screenshots). Good run is GoT themed, evil run is just my favourite evil characters that fit in a balanced party from comics and games, so thinking along those two lines for the neutral run.

Jon Snow as a Wizard Slayer? Stalker would be more appropriate, I think.

Aye I've ran him as a ranger before so thought I'd mix it up, I might change it to undead hunter though, or maybe even cavalier, thinking now that makes more sense

Neutral aligned familiars all have thief levels, so can use items with ability charges by pickpocketing them from a party member (drop or move all but the item you want to give them out of your inventory).

This enables some pretty wild combinations, and also provides a place for the many underused charge items in the game to go. Just need keep the familiar alive and get it out of harm's way to avoid CON loss.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve played so i cant remember if bards have alignment restrictions but one of the most surprisingly fun party comps I’ve run is a travelling band of musicians.

Had one of each bard type, a fighter/thief and a ranger/cleric with the unlocked spell limitation on the ini file.

R/C and blade served as front line, vanilla bard and skald songs stack surprisingly well.

jester song was useless for all the undead but great with yeti/lizardfolk/snake-dudes etc, made her the primary caster, and fighter/thief did what they do.

You could make them an 80’s hair metal band or what ever genre/era you feel fits the vibe.

Ranger/cleric is the drummer because dual-wielding clubs/maces

Bard & skald are guitar players: lead & rhythm respectively

Jester is bass with crowd control groove

Blade is keys/synth or whatever

F/T is vocals

I liked my nature/no-mad themed party. Fighter/Druid, Barbarian, Beast Master (as an archer)Avenger, Wild Mage, Illusionist/Thief, for example. A Ranger/cleric would fit right in aswell, if you want to replace someone.
