Recreational Retrancing Without Using A Trigger

Last night, I tranced someone without using an induction or a trigger.

I had tranced them previously, and they'd shown themself to be receptive enough to being hypnotised, so they were already used to it.

This time, I just looked the client right in the eye and spoke directly to their unconscious mind. I said that the client's body and mind knew what it was like to enter a trance already - all I wanted was to speak to the unconscious directly.

And that was exactly what happened.

Note: Setting the flair as "recreational."

That's the part people underestimate: once the pathway's been walked a few times, the trance is mostly permission. Eye contact plus a calm, certain 'you already know how to do this' is often all it takes.

I use this too with my regular subjects

Nice. It keeps the trance steady across sessions too. Do you pair it with a breath cue or just the word?

Little bit of eye fixation, maybe a pressure point touch

With experience you learn to see the signs that a person is ready for that stage. Some people you work with never ever reach that. I know you said you spoke to their unconscious mind. But for those who are unfamiliar, you are speaking to the "person" which includes the conscious and the unconscious. Because you had developed rapport with the client they're unconscious did not block you from achieving your goal of trance. And the person's conscious mind was willing to go along as well. That's why Rapport is key to successful hypnosis. But always remember that if you don't get that compliance quickly and easily, it doesn't mean the person is a bad subject or that you did something wrong. It just means for them, there are barriers that they either can't clear or are unaware. I work with some people for many months. And at some point in that process they become more willing to go under quickly. Some it still took 30 to 60 seconds for them to get deep. And it wasn't they weren't trying or we're trying to stop me. There was just something there that we never worked out which made them more resistant than others. Hope this helps someone.!

Pratique hipnotizar pessoas. A hipnose é uma habilidade que só melhora de verdade com a prática.

The practice of hypnosis is a very worthwhile journey. There are so many ways to learn it.

Yes that's called conditioning

I would get used to calling it hypnotised vs trance. Last night I hypnotised someone without …trance is trance. Hypnosis is hypnosis not the same thing. And post hypnotic suggestions are very useful well done!

I suspect this may be more a language issue than an ability one, but I will respond foremost to the latter as I feel that is likely to be of more use to any beginners stumbling upon this answer.

Firstly, the claim that no triggers or inductions were used is not really accurate. The fact you had successfully hypnotised them before is more than enough conditioning for some people. I myself have clients who by session three or four don't need anything more than me saying "When you are ready, please enter your state of hypnosis" allowing us to get straight to the 'business' of the session.

In a similar vein to this, many people starting out in hypnosis either skimp or totally omit the pre-talk thinking it not very important and they want to get to the important induction; what they are failing to recognise is that the pre-talk is actually a very important part of the induction, and a good pre-talk will actually be much more potent on its own than just what they consider the induction without anything else.

Just because you attach the label 'induction' or 'trigger' to specific things doesn't mean that no other things also do the same job, and these other things don't even need to happen there and then. A good pre-talk that was given and understood a week or month ago is just as potent today as it would be if repeated.

The other point worth discussing is the focus on trance. Obsessing over trance or the depth of trance is very common in beginners, but it is largely a fool's errand; it really isn't important. What you should focus on is suggestibility and results. There are some occasions where you want your subjects to be in a very deep trance, but these situations are nowhere near as common as many people think.

From my perspective:

I think I go into trance without anything when I look at someone on e.g. Discord and start feeling something pulling outwards from inside me.

It feels like something is turning inside out or being pushed out, but without anyone actually pulling.

But I have to give it a little push, an impulse to allow it to happen any further.

It’s like a dog pulling on its leash, excited to see someone. If I let go of the leash, it would jump straight at that person.

And the other person has to adress it, catch it, accept it and use it. Otherwise, the feeling slowly fades away.

And my head feels tight, gets heavier and my face becomes stiff. I stop making normal facial expressions. That’s how I realise.

Yes. I guide my clients into trance, “The Zone”, and after that, most of them can go back into it at will - I’ll just say, “Take yourself into The Zone and nod to me when you’re there.
