In Will Navidson's letter to Karen (pages 389-393 in the full-color edition), there's some kind of hidden letter using Morse code.

- Periods, dots under "?"s, and dots above "i"s seem like "•"s.
- Commas, apostrophes, and slashes (and maybe weird kerning and spaces?) seem to mean "–"s.

I was able to get a bit, but I'm struggling. Has anyone gotten the whole thing?

What I was able to piece together:

I AM IN PAIN/SEND HELP/I HAVE SENT A LINE

[EDIT TO ADD: Possibly, the last line should read, "I HAVE SET A LINE" rather than "SENT." I'm not sure.]

Anymore would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have seen far too much slander for his footnotes, and how it’s all just sex and whatnot.

No. It’s not all sex. There are, like, five footnotes where he talks about sex, and half of them end up being about something else anyways.

No, no. Most of them are him hallucinating the Minotaur and shitting himself in a closet or something, only to realize that it was all fake all along, and then he ends up spiraling about that as well (real as shit btw), and it can all just be boiled down to a schizophrenic panic attack.

God, I love Johnny. He’s literally me. (Which is a bad thing. (For Johnny, not me.))

Just saw what I would consider a weird little child of HoL, a kind of poor man’s Navidson Record and I mean that in the nicest way. It’s called The House Was Not Hungry Then.

I recommend going in blind.
Be aware it has VERY deliberate pacing, so if you can’t take slower movies give it a pass.
You have to watch the screen or you are going to miss things, this is not a movie to put on in the background, you have to be present.
This isn’t going to be for everyone, but it’s really the only movie that’s given me HoL vibes.

Einstürzende Neubauten - Zampano

I've always wondered if this song by Neubauten, Zampano, is related to House of Leaves, but have never been able to find anything conclusive! What do you think? I didn't find anything in this sub about it either, but I see comments referencing the book on Youtube :) I've wondered this for years and years! (One of my favorite albums!)
