Hey everyone,
Not sure how many retro gaming fans we have around here, but I wanted to share the ROM of a project I’ve been obsessing over lately. It’s called SHOOTER, a classic vertical scrolling shoot 'em up (shmup).
It doesn’t have distinct stages yet, my original idea was just to capture that early-80s arcade vibe where the whole point was simply chasing high scores and surviving.
Feel free to give it a spin! If you like it, let me know, and of course any feedback or constructive criticism is more than welcome.
Here’s the download link on Archive.org (so you know it's safe):
https://archive.org/download/shooter_nes/Shooterv1.11.nes
Just grab the ROM and load it up in your favorite NES/Famicom emulator. It also works fine on flashcarts if you happen to have one.
I'm also dropping a short video clip here so you can check out the gameplay in action.
Cheers!

Hey everyone! A while back, we shared Playtiles here: tiny electronics-free controllers that stick to your smartphone and turn it into a little handheld console. They come with their own app and bundles of officially licensed 8-bit games, with developers duly compensated.
After two seasons and 50+ GB/GBC homebrew games from indie developers around the world, we're now getting ready for Season 3!
This new season will bring around 24 more indie games, new controller designs inspired by the featured titles, new developers, more features for our app (including improved multiplayer), and even support for a whole new gaming system!
We haven't revealed the Season 3 lineup just yet, so the video features games from Season 2 to give you an idea of how everything works.
Our goal remains the same: to put homebrew games in every pocket, making them easier to discover and enjoy with physical controls on the smartphones we already own, while supporting the devs behind them.
For those curious, you can learn more here!
Would love to hear what you think, especially what you'd like to see in future seasons!

hello good day everybody, i have a question but i want to say this first, that im using my nintendo switch jailbreak on android mode. it means im using lineage 18.1.1, anyway i also have my installed games in switch itself by DBinstaller. so now back to android. im always using it as my secondary phone (i know im just a pleb that cant afford a new phone) but for me its easy to use and also i could play some of my games in pc (thru geforce now), anyways i wanted to put some mobile games in it like MMORPG games. and i want to switch my internal storage installation to sd card installation, now i know how to switch it through reformatting the sd card. now here's the question. if i format my SD card does my games in my switch itself gonna delete? i hope someone notice and get my question clear. thank you and have a good day!

CubeBrowser lets you browse actual websites on original GameCube hardware over Ethernet, with HTTPS support, images, page styling, bookmarks, and even downloads straight to your SD card. Everything is controlled with a GameCube controller!
The project was built with the help of Claude Opus 5.5 and tested on real hardware.
It runs as homebrew through Swiss and supports adapters like the official Broadband Adapter and ETH2GC. JavaScript and video aren't supported yet, but lightweight websites work surprisingly well.

Hello everyone!
Two summers ago, after finishing Chapters 3 and 4 of DELTARUNE, I was thinking:
This game is so cool! But wouldn't it be even cooler, groovier, to play it on Nintendo 3DS? Simple 2D graphics, already plays fine with controllers... How would the fights work with the stylus? How would the Chapter 4 towers feel with the console's 3D? How very, very interesting...
Unfortunately, at that time, there was no such thing as a 3DS port of DELTARUNE. Therefore, if I wanted it to happen, the only solution was to make one myself.
So, I started working on it, not sure if it was feasible, unsure if the console had enough capabilities, and wondering if the game's logic itself could be adapted.
After a few weeks of work, the main menu finally launched successfully for the first time, and that was what convinced me that this might actually work.
Now, a year later, with thousands of flowers blocking our way overcome, some friends have joined me in this crazy adventure, and together, we have finally managed to make that hope, that dream, come true!
DELTARUNE (Main Menu and Chapter 1 only) runs fine on the “NEW” editions of the console, and runs with occasional, acceptable FPS drops on the original editions.
What about the other chapters? Well... those are flowers to bloom in the future. We have not started working on them yet, as our priority has been to stabilize and optimize Chapter 1 and its game engine as much as reasonably possible.
We are proud to finally be able to show you our native port project. This whole adventure has been, and still is, a fun experience.
If you own the PC version of the game, you may find the jarona here: https://github.com/LinkTroisUn/DELTARUNE-3DS/

Chimp! (for NES and Famicom) - Play the demo now
A monkey dreams of owning his own hair salon.
To make his dream come true, he needs gold.
The gold is locked away behind closed doors.
To open the doors, he needs keys.
The keys are guarded by whimsical and absurd animal enemies.
To defeat the animals, he must find bananas to throw at them.
That’s the story.

Hey everyone, I'm the dev behind RiftWii. It's a Wii mod loader I wrote from scratch, clean-room, no Riivolution code in it. You drop in Riivolution-format packs or code builds and they load when the game starts. Your game files never get touched.
It handles stuff like Retro Rewind and MKW Deluxe X for Mario Kart Wii, and Brawl code builds like Project+, PMEX Remix and REX. Per-game settings, cheats, modded saves kept separate on the SD, online play through Wiimmfi, game covers, the works.
Honestly I've only been able to test Retro Rewind and MKW Deluxe X on real hardware so far, so I'm looking for testers with other games and setups.
You need a Wii (or a Wii U in Wii mode) with the Homebrew Channel and a FAT32 SD card. If your games are on USB or SD you'll want d2x cIOS.
2610-340 is up on the releases page. The guide walks through setup and there's a Discord if you want to help test or need a hand.

I'm trying to connect my Wii to WiiLink, but the Check Mii Out channel won't work. I've tried every trick I can think of and I used AnyGlobe Changer to change my region and it still won't work, does anyone know why this is happening?

Hey everyone! I'm a developer in training and a Resident Evil fan, and I've been working on bringing some of the franchise's lesser-known mobile games to the Nintendo 3DS.
This is a completely new, independent port of Resident Evil 4 Zeebo Edition, unrelated to the other port currently available online.
The main focus has been performance. The existing port struggles to reach 10 FPS on Old 3DS, while my version runs at full speed on the same hardware without major issues. I've also implemented support for the second screen, although it isn't touchscreen-enabled.
I've also been experimenting with Resident Evil: Degeneration for both Old and New 3DS, but I'll save the details for another time.
I'll hopefully share a full gameplay video within the next week. For now, here's a small preview.
I'll be posting development updates and more information about these projects on my Ko-fi page: https://ko-fi.com/kiddrwxssj
Both projects are completely free, of course. I'm only using Ko-fi to share updates and keep track of development progress.

A couple of weeks ago, I shared an early prototype of my 3D space game for the Nintendo Wii. At the time, my goal was to achieve continuous flight from space down to the planet’s surface.
Well, I’ve made quite a bit of progress since then! 🚀
The game now supports low-altitude flight, assisted planetary landing and takeoff, all running on real Wii hardware.
The planetary engine uses quadtree-based terrain subdivision, dynamic LOD and geomorphing to render a procedural planet with mountains and craters.
One of the biggest technical challenges was performance. I originally used direct vertex submission through GX, but switching to Vertex Arrays and Display Lists gave me roughly a 3× performance improvement during development.
I’ve also added a redesigned HUD, rocky terrain textures, atmospheric effects and improved spaceship controls and CRUISE visuals.
The landing system is still experimental, and low-altitude flight needs more work on speed and handling. But being able to fly from space, approach the planet and actually land on its surface is a milestone I’ve been working towards.
Everything in the video is running on a real Nintendo Wii, using C/C++, devkitPPC, libogc and GX directly.
Still very much a work in progress. I’d love to hear your feedback, especially from anyone who’s worked with GX or Wii homebrew graphics!

When I try to boot MKWii from USBLoaderGX, it just boots back into the homebrew menu. I'm using a MICRO SD card in an SD card adapter, and it's 512 GB, if that's important. It should work, but it's just booting back to the menu. Does anyone know why this is happening? I will post a video if needed. Thank you.

I setup fakemote on my Wii, but when I was about to test it out, my Wii froze at the system menu. Is there a fix?
