Traveling? Find your next Hash with the new Half-Mind app!

Looking for a kennel near home or wherever your travels take you? Give it a try:

Use your current location or enter a city or town.

Search an entire state or province.

Choose how far to search, in miles or kilometres.

Filter by preferred usual run days.

View kennels on a map or browse the results list.

It works in your browser on computers, Android phones, iPhones and iPads — no app store download needed!

For quick access, add it to your phone’s home screen:

iPhone or iPad: Open the link in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen → Add.

Android: Open the link in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, then Add to Home Screen or Install app.

Allow location access when prompted if you want to use “Use my location.” You can also enter a destination manually.

The Half-Mind directory is growing, and some listings still need verification. Usual run schedules are not confirmed trail dates — always check with the kennel before heading out!

Please try it, look up your own kennel, and help correct any missing or outdated details through the directory listing. I’d also love feedback on how it works on your phone — especially from iPhone and iPad users.

Share this with your traveling hash mates. On On!

I’ve been reworking a web based tool that Tender Titties, a Sin City H4 (Cincinnati) hasher built years ago.

With what started as a request to automate posting to the website, Mailchimp, and making it easier for Facebook pages/groups, I finally feel comfortable sharing this with the half minds of Reddit.

Not only does it do all the regular tracking of “when, where, and who”, it has a bunch of other new features such as Badges, kennel management, a songbook (that I desperately need to format better), and more.

https://hashstats.org

The Android and iOS app are being reviewed currently, but once those are released you’ll be able to track the trail as you hash, so it can create longest/shortest records from the average length from all hashers.

I’d be interested in bringing over a few kennels as I can if interested.

On-on!

Hashers in Europe and Africa—we need your local knowledge!

I’m expanding the Half-Mind club directory and checking older listings. Some details come from historical directories or club websites, so they still need confirmation from people who know the clubs.

Please find your club, open its listing and click “Verify listing” or “Reverify.”

Can you confirm:
• Is the club still active?
• What is its usual running day, frequency and time?
• Are its website, Facebook page and public contacts current?
• Is its listed location correct?

Europe: https://half-mind.com/regionalwebsite/p_list1.php?region=Europe
Africa: https://half-mind.com/regionalwebsite/p_list1.php?region=Africa

Please include how you know and when you checked. If you’re unsure, say so—don’t guess. Submissions are reviewed before changes are applied.

Please share with your kennel and neighbouring clubs. On On!

Intergulf Bahrain bought them all 🍻

I've hashed for around a year and a half in Taiwan and as a history lover it's been really fun learning the lore of not just hashing overall but within the country I'm in. From what the oldhands have said a lot has changed over time. i.e. when things started it was mostly expats but over the years more and more locals joined with several local kennels being mostly Taiwanese while others have kept a more international flavor.

With that being said, how did hashing come to your little neck of the woods and how has it changed over the years and decades?

On on!

Hope to see you there.

New super fast way to help get all the H3 club info correct on the Half-Mind.com directory

start at https://half-mind.com/regionalwebsite/verify_listings.php
20 oldest unverified clubs

These active club listings have gone the longest without a recorded verification.

Verification is quick. Volunteers can answer Yes, No, or Don't know. Correction fields appear only when they want to suggest a change.

Every response goes to Site Admin for review. Nothing on this page directly changes the directory.

Regular hashes and bike hashes are just not expensive enough for me.

We are checking older club records so travelers can find accurate information.

Your update is a suggestion only — Site Admin reviews every change before anything is published.

The shortlist is refreshed from directory data and focuses on older or incomplete listings. A failed website check is a reason to investigate, not proof that a kennel is inactive.

Hey luvs, none of my searches are finding any active kennels in South Carolina. Any active Hashers in the area of Columbia?

I was wondering if anyone has any good sites for making/buying Hab?
I want to start a Hab for my kennel, but not really sure where to start.
I was looking at License Plates and Socks since we are still hella small, but wasn't sure where the best place to get them made might be.
