CULTURE Jacmel puts art everywhere. Even the stairs.

The staircase has tiny houses on its risers. Then there’s the mosaic walkway at Lakou New York, and the painted animal masks by Jacmel artisans. Even an ordinary walk comes with something to stop and look at.

Does anyone recognize the artists behind these mosaics or masks? I’d love to put names to the work.

Artists from Fosaj created that courtyard mosaic. Maybe the others as well. Most creative city I ever visited.

Thanks for the FOSAJ lead. Do you know any of the individual artists who worked on that courtyard? I'd like to credit them by name too.

One was Luckner Candio, but I think several artists from Fosaj worked on it.

Same, my Grandma was born and raised there. She hasn’t been there in decades.
