Which do you recommend: Gun Wall vs. Safe
For context I'm looking at safes or even building a rack however I love the idea of displaying them.
Obviously there's the threat of a break in but I'd like to pick your brains..

Distraught at the changes Ruger is making
Ruger is Discontinuing a huge chunk of their legacy models. Most of their Revolvers, most of the PC series. My PC Carbine is a great gun. 9mm 16 barrel carbine that looks like a traditional hunting rifle, has a top and bottom pic rail, has great iron sights, takes down into 2, and takes glock mags. I mean there aren't really that many pickings there, at least aesthetically. It's nice to have the option to get a PCC that's not trying to be a mini ar or an mp5.
And Ruger is just gutting their revolver lines. Pretty soon the smith 642/442 will be the only real player in the conceal carry revolver market. With the LCR getting the axe, Smith will have no reason to keep making the bodyguard 38. I don't think other companies offer anything as light weight and in the same price class as the 642 except Ruger with the LCR.
Ig Ruger is just gonna sell LCP's, max 9s, securities,RXM's and mini 14's lol.

What improvements can be made to this SBR?
Flashlight has since been changed since this photo was taken. It’s now a surefire with a pressure pad.

NFA law stuff
So I'm writing this just to clarify some of the status of these NFA items since the October 9 letter. My friends with their FFL have been gracious enough to keep passing official info my way as they get it.
So the letter said the ATF isn't enforcing any of the form requirements and such. But those laws are still on the books at a Federal level. Now my friend is getting a suppressor in from a distributor on regular paperwork, meaning it can be sold in a 4473 and he can book it and clear it from his books in that manner. SO as it stands now Suppressors are able to be bought and sold in this manner, as long as you're in a free state that isn't specifically requiring NFA paperwork at their level.
However SBR, SBS, and AOW have a requirement that the (federal) attorney general be notified of these guns when they are transferred. This used to be done when your Form 1 or 4 was filed. Since you don't have to file the forms, there is no explicit way to satisfy that requirement of notifying them. Waiting for the ATF to come up with an abridged way to do that. CMMG has a page on their site that explains that also if you want a read.
All of that to say: Suppressors are the safest option to play with at this second. And that SBR and SBS should still be taken with light steps. Stay safe out there.
Can you please remove any metallic objects you may be carrying, keys, loose change...
New Mac5k - finding a collapsible stock is proving to be a bitch, though. Any recommendations?

First handgun
Anybody got any recommendations for a first handgun? It’s not my first time w a gun I’m very experienced with them, just looking to own my first handgun. I want a midsize 9mm. Currently looking at an str9 but the biggest turnoff with that is proprietary mags and not a whole lot of aftermarket customization. Other 2 on the list are the PSA dagger and a Taurus g3. If anyone has any recommendations please feel free to share. And I want to stay on a budget otherwise I’d go with a Glock 19 lol

Visual of the Ruger catalog change
The GP100 isnt named, but it seems odd to have it left over. It is one of the few revolvers good for uspsa anymore which may be why.
First purchase on rifle, a Ruger American Gen2 Scout
After consulting with you pals here, I finally made the decision and went to the shop today. Ordered a Ruger American Gen2 Scout in 556.
I am planning to learn and train with the iron sight for awhile to get familiar with this gun but eventually I will probably get a decent scope.
The shop staff has shown me couple scopes but they were all... let's say fancy. The only scope I ever used was one on a family member's old Mosin.
I wonder what kind of scope shall I get for my marksmanship practice after iron sight. Probably all shooting will be in ranges, shooting paper or target instead of any hunting, so I am guessing there is no need for scopes that zoom in like crazy nor radicals that can glow in dark? It will be even nicer if it is on lower price side.

15rd mags that fit p365 X-Macro w/ Radian magwell?
I am about to make my first p365 build, and was planning to use the X-macro grip module with a Radian backstrap/magwell combo.
I live in Illinois so I have a 15rd capacity limit, and there is even legal grey area in getting capacity reduced 17rd mags. It seems that PMAG's 15rd mags do not fit very well at all.
On another post I saw someone recommend Tactical Development’s XM-15 basepad that can be attached to a P365/X/XL 15RD mag; however, it says directly on their site that "Tapered to fit in a magwell. (Does not fit Radian Arms Magwell)". Can anyone confirm whether this is true or untrue?
If anyone has any solutions that work well and are relatively flush, please let me know!

Tough decisions need help!!!
Issue #1: I purchased a Rossi R92 .44 magnum as my first lever action rifle last year. It has the FDE cerakote. I want to either trade it in and get the brushed/ stainless finish one but I can’t find one so I may go the DIY route and sandblast and brush it myself. Has anyone ever done this? If so, how did it turn out? Or should I just leave it as is?
Issue #2: I also recently purchased a Taurus Judge Magnum 6.5” and put wood grips on it. The grips were loose so I put some silicone in the grips to tighten them up. I figured this would prevent me from being able to swap/ sell it in the future which is fine, however my wife is fine with guns but thinks we own too many and has requested that if I buy a new one, I sell / trade one that I currently have. That is our firearm agreement, both parties are happy, please don’t drop divorce lawyers or suggest that I hide it from her in the comments, I don’t operate that way. This system has been fine until recently, where I now find myself not wanting to get rid of a gun when I get a new one. I have recently set my sights on getting a Taurus Tracker .44 or a Taurus .44, or even a Raging Hunter/ Bull .44 (I like Taurus, come at me) I am conflicted because I don’t want/ don’t think I can or should sell the Judge because I still enjoy shooting it when I get the chance.
The main idea here is I want a .44 magnum rifle and revolver, because that’s dope as hell, but I want them to look similar sort of clean/ modern with similar color-waves, and I don’t want to get rid of my Judge in the process. What should I do?

Possibly damaged the action or stock
CVA Cascade .308
Rifle was punching horrible groups and very inconsistent. After a little while, I found 1 action screw very loose. Took everything apart and did a super thorough cleaning including scope, rings, base. Currently I’m getting 5” groups at 50 yards. Everything feels solid, torqued to specs. Is it possible the damage has been done to the action or stock? I’m looking into getting pillar sleeves. How do I find the correct size?

Even my puppy is judging me for putting the Harbor Freight light on my Walther 💁🏼♀️💅🏻
They were half off this weekend, and for around $30 you can’t find much better ragebait for the price 😇
(And to be honest, for the sale price it preforms pretty well. Don’t know that I’d spend the $60 on it, and it gets hot as balls, but for $30 it is truly not a terrible streamlight clone. Wouldn’t trust it with my life or anything, but it turns out the internet was right about it not being entirely hot garbage.)

Question for those who have done private sales online
Doing a private sale transfer for the first time and seller is asking for a photo of my ID is this normal? I’ve always been taught to closely guard your personal info from people online so I’m cautious and just want to know if this is a normal thing or if a scam?
