Advice/Help thoughts on native pet?!
Howdy! Thinking of adding supplements to my baby’s diet. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with Native Pet.. I get ads all the time! Plus they seem to have many options for coat, joint, and digestive aid.
I started him on their omega oil and he seems to tolerate it. However, I am wary of long term results. He is tall and 4yo so I want to do my best to prevent arthritis and hip dysplasia as he nears senior age. I am open to any diet or supplement advice. Please and thank you!!

Advice/Help Does anyone run with their pyr?
Hello y’all! The vet told me to wait until my pyr was at least 18 months before starting to bring her on runs. Now she is nearly 2 years, but based on her personality and activity level… I do NOT anticipate her enjoying going on jogs. I usually go 2-4 miles and those are the runs I would love to bring her on. For my own safety and for her stimulation and exercise. I know there is a running with dogs sub - I just want to see if any pyr owners specifically have had success! Thanks

Photo Beaning of Life
Had to show off my Beanie Girl! She’s so patient whenever I groom her, but she will punish me for the following 24hrs. By punish, I mean refusing to accept her dental treat. The drama. The horror.

Discussion Anyone else's pyr get super zoomies when they come across the perfect digging dirt?
Our girl will be walking fine and then she'll come across a patch of dirt, especially a day or two after it's rained, that triggers her to start digging. She'll dig ferociously for a couple seconds and then get hyper zoomies, spinning around, jumping, rolling; that kinda thing. We think she's just so excited about finding the perfect digging texture and temperature and it just overexcites her lol
Anyone else's pyr do this? Our girl is a shelter pup pyr/lab mix

Photo Meet Wilson
We adopted Wilson (8) this past weekend from LaMancha Animal Rescue in Unionville, PA.
He had been a stray in Louisiana. He is settling in well and his calm Pyr presence is a delight. ❤️

Advice/Help Standing and side eye
Anyone else’s dog just randomly stand around and stare at a wall, or randomly come up and stare at you. She also plays for a second and then will lose interest. I feel kinda silly writing this out but it’s kinda bizarre behavior she’s done it since she was a pup.

Photo my silly babies
best part of my day (every day) is snuggling these goofy guys 🥲 they’re very much enjoying the weather cooling off in our area, and they’ll soon be out frolicking in the snow! Bear (the whiter one) has been with us for about 4 months now, and he’s definitely my soul dog (which is crazy for me to say, as a life-long cat person). they love playing in the middle of the living room and bonking into furniture, cuddling me and my husband, and barking at the wind!

Advice/Help Normal behavior?
I'm just wondering if it's normal to get bitten by a Pyr puppy to this level of bruising. He's 6 months old, not aggressive at all, he just bites when he wants to play. Especially if I don't want to play. He also gets pretty worked up when we say no 😅 Some days are better and some days are worse ! Today was perfect, but yesterday I would've said otherwise
He sleeps plenty throughout the day. 1h/1h30 awake time then 2/3h nap after. He's pretty well accustomed to that routine, doesnt whine or bark to get out except if he needs to go outside ASAP
It's not my first puppy nor my first Pyr, but it is my first Pyr puppy lol.

Advice/Help Deciding on a foster
Hoping for some hivemind guidance. I’m currently doing a trial foster-to-adopt with a 1-year old GP mix with the intention of finding a ptsd service dog that can go with me everywhere. The rescue he’s from said he’s people/kid/dog friendly, crate-trained, very quiet. I live in an apartment with my child and am able to take the dog on multiple walks and outside play throughout the day.
Reading through the GP pages on Reddit I’m seeing lots of people talking about sudden aggression around 2 years old, lots of resource guarding, needing to use muzzles and ecollars or paying for long board and train programs; basically the breeds natural protective instincts making them incompatible to existing easily within an urban dog-heavy neighborhood in a family home.
Obviously the individual temperament of the dog plays into their future behavior but I’d love to hear from folks who have experience with these dogs if I’d be better off making a different choice.

Photo My goobers
Bear and Moose double trouble. They may be a pain in the neck but they are my pain in the neck. I love watching them figure out the world. Even if it's a little clumsy.
