Echo Point Man

Skeletal remains of an elderly man were found in a bushland in New South Wales. His death was ruled an accident and may be related to his eyesight problems. He is presumed to be homeless or a transient traveler.

He was found with a note that says "To whom it may concern. - Eyesight absolute shit! Floating cobwebs on increase! unable to work any longer. – No cure I’m told!".

A recent DNA analysis has revealed that the man is likely had Latvian or Middle European heritage.

I've been following this one. NSW police are currently asking the local Latvian diaspora if anyone recognises him.

I wonder if the “floating cobwebs” is visual snow syndrome. I have VSS and it sometimes looks like I’m seeing something similar to what the man drew on the paper. Pure speculation though, it could’ve been something completely different.

To me, it looks like floaters gone wild. It could have been a number of different things.

I understand they probably don't want to show a photo because of his disfigured remains after the fall but I think they should show a real photo rather than a reconstruction because if someone does know him and the reconstruction is not precise they may write it off as not being him.

His remains were already skeletal when he was found.

Are you suggesting the decedent would be recognized from his skull somehow???
