Thanks, David Gans, for cueing this incredible night from the Europe Fall '90 mini tour. Every version, every note, every harmony is Dead on. CRANK IT AND TELL ALL THE WHINY GRANNIES IN THE HOOD TO SHOVE OFF!

Hello, I'm looking for the existence of a possible multi-disc box set by the Dead for a show played 2-18-1971, Capitol Theater, Port Chester, New York.
Does anyone know if this exists for purchase?
Thank you.

Wikipedia's page for Fire On The Mountain has a section for covers and on that page they note that Ween played the song at a benefit show for their old high school in New Hope.
This is pretty funny to me, as I was at that show and it wasn't some huge event. Probably a smaller crowd than your average fairground show.
And lead vocals and guitar was by Bill Fowler, who is not really a member of the band, he's associated more with Sound of Urchin.
I looked it up and it also turns out this is technically the only time Ween actually performed Fire on the Mountain as Ween, although I would see them do it later that year as the Jimmy Wilson Group (also sung by Bill Fowler)

Couldn’t find anything on the site about it, but is there free shipping once you hit a certain threshold?

I have largely ignored anything the dead has done in the 90s post Brent. Are there any shows you would recommend listening to from the 90s?

Back in the 1970s and 1980s, Jim and I partners to create the "Grateful Dead Tape Exchange of South Jersey." We traded with a lot of people over the years, including Dick Latvala, Jerry Moore, Barry Glassberg, Monte Dym, Bob Alson, and a bunch of others.
I am not sure if anyone here ever traded with Jim, but I wanted to pass the news that he died this morning. He had Parkinson's for several years but it really started to take its toll a few months ago. He had to go into assisted living about a month ago and died this morning.
I knew Jim since we were both in high school more than 52 years ago. We had a lot of fun together and met a lot of people all through the Dead and trading tapes. His death is the end of a big part of my life.

Just finished up some dead tombstones for the front yard, second generation dead head (f31) and I made these while listening to some Dave picks CDs with dad (66m) 💛 he’s currently in hospice with stage 4 pancreatic cancer so anything to make him smile, these got a good chuckle out of him. Happy Halloween my friends 🥀

I never see him mentioned as an important part of the band. He was the OG frontman. When none of them had the ability or courage to lead them, he did it. He held down the throne until Jerry was ready. He lead during the formative years. Without him, there probably ISN'T a Grateful Dead.
People always clamor about Brent and Keith, but what about Pigpen? The guy was an absolute blues machine. I feel like he really doesn't get enough respect and credit around here. Put some fucking respect on this man's name! You rock, Pigpen!

It’s crazy to think I’ve been so active in so many communities for so long. As soon as I saw the 4-Year Cake day notification the first thing that rang out in my head was the opening to Truckin.
While Phish is undoubtedly my favorite band, the Grateful Dead are something else. While they are not my favorite band, they introduced me to the jam band scene and hold a special place even above phish as something uniquely different. I don’t listen to the dead every single day like I used, but all those songs live in my heart.
You all made the word community really mean something to me, somehow this tribes vibes transcend the bounds of the internet. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart, for being cool human beings and being here on the bus.
I spent a lot of time lurking, posting, and commenting in this subreddit those first couple of years, especially during the 2023 Dead and Co tour. Thank you for making the space for me to share my excitement of the Dead and rejoice in our collective love of this band. Thank you all for also being there during the darker days too, when a little silver lining shined through.
Y’all make this community what it is.
Today makes me think about life, where I’m goin, how it’s goin, and all the miscellaneous moments along the way. Wherever my path takes me, the Grateful Dead will forever be woven deep into the soundtrack of my life. Hopefully on the day I move on from this world it’ll be carried on the sweet shimmering notes of the Dead.
I’m so excited for what comes next. It’s been a while since I felt this excited and it feels good. Maybe it’s time to add more Dead back into the daily music mix.
I can’t wait to see where we go from here…
Love you all. NFA ⚡️
