Question/Discussion Do you adjust settings to read digital comics?

I buy gn and subscriptions, both digital because I don't have the physical room. I set my tablet settings so it's less blue light. It does wash out some of the graphics but I think it helps with longer reading.

Do you read in full color or adjust settings?

no, i have a TCL NXTPAPER 14 tablet and it comes with a matte screen which does wonders in cutting down screen glare (and eye strain). and I do not see any color difference between it and my regular samsung tablet.

I have the TLC nxtpaper 11 plus.Their Nxtpaper tech does wonders with reducing the blue light while maintaining rich full colour. It's not a standard yellow/ amber filter to reduce eye strain, they actually fix it at the hardware level which is really nice.

How is the speed when it comes to the TCL? I was thinking about getting one a while ago instead of an iPad, mostly for comics, but I have always found Android devices to be noticeably laggier than Apple products.

I like the speed. It doesn't feel laggy with it's 16gb ram , and I have had an older cheaper samsung before that was definitely laggy. I've never had an ipad before, but I guess they are a bit snappier, but they're also way more expensive. I think it's a good tablet for around €200, especially for reading (comics/manga/graphic novels), since there focus is on that with their tech.

How does it compare with a tablet with a matte screen protector?

I only filter out blue light when I'm reading late at night before bed, but otherwise no I leave the settings at whatever they've been for years now(probably factory default).
