What if the Gate from the anime GATE: Jieitai opened in Mega-City One, from the Judge Dredd universe, instead of Ginza?

The Imperial Army of Sadera launches the same invasion as in the anime, but instead of facing the Japanese military, they find themselves confronting the Judges of Mega-City One.

What would've happened if the gate appeared in Amsterdam in 2016?

Most questions like these are about military powers with larger landmass but i'm curious what would happen if the gate appeared in a smaller country like the Netherlands.

Who would claim first blood, the regular wendigos or the wendigos that play Dueling Banjos and have access to firearms?

Let us say it opens in Yerevan on November 1st 2020 at 12:00 am so how would this effect the conflict,how would Armenia respond and how would this effect the speical region and the world mainly?

I'm working on this Schaffrillas-style video essay for GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There, where I talk about what I like about the series and what I didn't. Originally, I had a conclusion in mind similar to Schaff's Shark Tale video: the series is an absolute disaster, but still fun to watch...

I realized on my rewatch just how unfun most of the scenes that don't involve the battles are, and analyzing the politics and characters feels more like a war criminal's false testimony of what actually happened than a real story. The action scenes are really fun, and it's cool seeing modern military tactics; I also love the internal politics in the Empire, but at the same time, when I watch the show, I feel I'm waiting for the action rather than actually engaging with the series.

Instead, I'm focusing more on how GATE is a perfect warning for what happens when a story refuses to take itself seriously. I'm still in the planning phase cause I have three video essays I'm working on right now, but stay tuned for most posts, I guess... or not?

I'll let you guys know when I actually get around to making the script.

I won't care to explain the title again because you just read it so I'm going to tell you the baseline of the scenario with this so here we go!:

Let's say for this scenario the lylat war ended a day ago and suddenly a gate opens in the heart of the main city of Corneria and at the same time on the other side the events of the fire dragon incident hearing has just ended, so general pepper sends his forces through the Gate to investigate it and establish a foot hold on the other side for defense (and I know! This is the exact same thing the jsdf did in the anime so I'm assuming that general pepper is going to take the exact same approach here just without the whole invasion thing from the empire) and finally before I forget we are using the universe of the most recent star fox game being "star fox 2026".

So that's everything I thought up for this so far so I leave it up to you all (because I'm not well versed in both star fox lore and geopolitics) anyways have fun folks!

A gfx for Gate: Napoleon and his enemies fought magic in Wattpad.

The GFX depicted sets in Battle of Telta (upcoming) sets outskirts of Telta, where Prince Zorzal and his cohorts settled on the city. On the west flank of the grand battle, as the French and Anglo forces (Franco-Anglo Army) were countercharge on the advancing Saderan legion-sized division, which one of the British regiments of 23rd Royal Welch hold against the charging Saderans, as the French 3e Chevau-Legers-Lanciers were supported, attempt to capture the Saderan's eagle.

I make this random question because I was curious, do you guys like this type of story or not? Cuz this was kinda different than the usual where it's always one side beating the weaker one, now it's two side who both beating the weak one while at the same times fighting against each other. The conflicts would be much more interesting.

One of my favourite fic with this type of premise is Fallout: Nuclear Legion, while not fully realistic, it was interesting to see the dynamics relations between Japan against NCR.

Context march of giants is MOBA game where you play as giants and lead soldiers, to destroy objectives.

A war between Duskline and Dawnline, an endless war, that they forgot the reason why their fighting.

Technologies like blend of science and alchemy, meaning there some kind of magic.

Giants are born from alchemy inside metal eggs, adding a pure emotions from humans civilians, and Frontline soldiers hopes, dreams, and aspirations.

Creating giants born from those dreams.

Like Victoria, dream of victory, Goliath dream of courage, Oriane Dream of peace, and Solace Dream of faith.

But there are also corrupted versions called nightmares, mode with the ambient fear, doubt, cowardice, and agony of the battlefields bled into the eggs.

Like Kragg nightmare of strength, Wolfgang nightmare of rage, Ossuary nightmare of fallen, and Voidmaster nightmare of the occult.

There more giants, but you can look it.

ok scenario time, it takes place in the battlefield, a mix of human soldier, carrying rifles and equipment to take down a giant, supported by tanks, reinforced my airships, have cavalry.

Based on World War I, but with giant commanders, there will be four agains on both sides and those giants have mix of Dream and Nightmare giants on both sides.

The gate opens, and there are two scenarios.

One the Saderan gets decimated without the other side knowing both dusk and dawn lines knowing.

Two they survive either the gate is in area that is not in middle of the battlefield and make themselves known.

If using scenario 2 is the answer, how much land would they take, not that much.

That they will known, we know the main threat is the Giants if they Saderans fight them.
Note no giants go alone, there is always soldiers surrounding them.

The empire’s infantry can’t do crap, there wyvern corp could do damage, but they will either get shot down by anti air and biplane or get swatted like flies by the giants.

Let’s skip the fight because most of the time the Saderan are cooked.

The unlikely scenario is both Dusk and Dawn lines, stopping the fight over magical gate, more likely one side pushing the other and winning the battlefield, claiming the gate.

Another unlikely thing is entering the gate, either it not as important that it’s winning the war, maybe the high command wants to explore it, another problem the giants can’t fit inside?

They are taller than the ogres the empire used, by at least they fit, but maybe they can reverse engineer the gate and making it bigger to enter.

I have uploaded Gaiden 1 (both the original tankōbon and later bunkobon editions) to my Google Drive folder.

You are free to read either version. However, if you prefer Kurojishi's illustrations over those of Izuka Daisuke, I recommend the bunkobon edition.

Additional material includes:

• The author's afterword from each bunko volume, translated into English for the first time.
• Biographical sketches of Yanai Takumi and Kurojishi.
• Additional annotations.

In both editions, I have made a number of corrections, light copyedits, and revisions to a few short passages to improve accuracy and readability.

My focus is on fidelity, linguistic nuance, and cultural context. As with my previous translations, both editions include extensive annotations to help readers understand Japanese expressions, honorifics, terminology, and historical or institutional references that are often lost in localization.

I hope fellow GATE fans and readers interested in the original Japanese text find these editions useful and enjoyable.
