I finally decided to buy my first gbbr/smg. Really new to gasblowback guns anything I should look out for?

For those of you who purchased a VFC AVs-74u but was disappointed by the lack of a siderail, I’ve come across an option that does not require any drilling or significant diy to install.

The AK Master Mount ™️ Side Rail Kit takes advantage of the hammer and trigger pin holes to align/hold the side rail onto the receiver. The VFC pins were very much RS spec so install was quick and easy. Recommend applying your choice of thread locker on the securing screws.

There are some videos on Youtube going over the install process on RS AKs. The majority of the steps involving moving the trigger/hammer springs out of the way can be ignored if screwdrivers are used to hold the hammer and trigger assemblies in place (untensioned). The only spring that really needs attention would be the one retaining the pins.

While this thing did cost $100 before taxes and shipping, the ease of install and the fact that it wasn’t a rear sight rail made it all worth it!

Did a bunch of research before buying my first airsoft rifle. Apparrently tokyo marui is the gold standard and I wanted the least possible issues to be able to attend milsims. Also thought the "buy once cry once" decision would be my best bet as I just want an m4 and to honestly never have to buy another rifle again if possible. I dont really care about variety.

I heard we tech is considered horrible because things break all the time but now I just recently seen that it has been updated to have a new steel triggerbox which apparrently was the main issue.

Issue is, I already just caughed up double the price of a we tech m4, for a tokyo marui mk18. Haven't even recieved in mail yet so I can return. Is it worth me just sticking with the marui and buy once cry once, since I already was willing to waste such an extreme amount of money on it. Or should I return and get the we tech m4a1?

The main thing making me second guess now is also that I want to use .30 bbs and heard that the Tokyo marui will barely get any power to shoot those even with upgrades, meanwhile the we tech will be super cheap and shoot them out of the box at decent speed and power.

Is it better to suck it up about the weakness of a tokyo marui for the reliability it has as standard, or get a we tech and learn everything about m4s through needing to maintain it well anyways becauee of the maintenance that we techs apparently need?

I am considering getting a VFC M4A1 or the KS-3 EVO systems, but I'm also look forward to changing the rifles to other AR varients, but I was wondering if a VFC V3 outer barrel and/or upper reciver can be installed with what looks to be a reviced hop-up system?

The 5.5" was a bit weird, so Ive changed the front kit to a 10" one

My mag has a leak, I changed the gas route but nothing changed.

When I put a CO2 shell in the mag there is a very little leak and when I press the rocket valve and release it, it gets even more bad.

Any advice ?

Been deving a MWS based ACR rifle platform for the past while. This rifle is being made for market.

Uses Alot of mws Parts and the MWS gas system.

This is a early protoype so there are non finalized parts on the rifle.

I’m very, very new to GBB and airsoft guns in general. I tried looking through older threads, but didn’t really find anything similar, so decided to post. Feel free to point me towards older resources if I missed any, though.

I just unboxed my TM G17 Gen5 and racked it a few times. If I rack the slide slowly, there’s a noticeable “hump” or “block” after a couple of centimeters. It feels like it’s hitting some sort of wall within the back half of the gun. If I continue racking, it does “go through it”, but I’m not sure this is to be expected. If I rack the gun fast, I don’t really feel it.

No mag inserted, and the hump is there even when the hammer is already cocked.

I also shot it on gas, without BBs. The slide cycles fine, but a couple of times it stopped just short of going fully forward.

For comparison, my local shooting club (IPSC incl. AA) has a bunch of Umarex G17 Gen5s. If I rack them slowly, they just go through smooth. No humps, no walls, nothing.

I can try taking a video, if it helps.
