Rites of passage in different games

Post image

Skyrim : Getting launched to space by a Giant.

The Witcher 3 : Farming too many cows in White Orchard will spawn this high level Chort to try and stop you.

Elden Ring : The teleporter chest in Dragon-Burnt Ruins that takes you to Caelid.

Feel free to add other examples.

Dragon Age: Origins. The Broodmother.

That's the grim dark Dragon Age I loved and lost.

The darkspawn were eh, made for a good one time villain and excellent redemption for loghain, but dragon age two is where the real meat of the plot is. The mage rebellion and demons are way more interesting than darkspawn. We don't even really know how spirts and demons work. The fade is such an interesting piece of lore that is hardly touched by Origins outside of the mage background, amd even then, it doesn't explain much.

Sure, yeah. I'm a huge fan of everything Fade-related.

But this thread is about specific moments in gaming history, and I think the Broodmother reveal was a great one for DA.

One of the most horrifying things ever put to console. I miss dragon age. Shame they never made a 4th one.

Don't try playing it off that you hallucinated a game called Dragon Age: Veilguard

It's too bad they canceled Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
