Discussion Luke Stephens is the worst gaming youtuber and I regret watching him!

• Upvotes

He has a few nice videos yes but I'm so tired of him he is like the worst guy I could choose for my opinions on games. He became so annoying and selective towards franshises he personally finds nostalgic while Hating on new IP'S like Horizon which he called lame everyone has an opinion I guess but calling it a dlc is just objecitvly wrong the second game really added a lot of cool stuff. I think he is overthinking it so I'm distancing myself from his channel it's not good for my enjoyment in gaming anyone else feels similar to some other youtubers?

Ocarina of Time Remake trailer and my phone

• Upvotes

So I'm watching the new Ocarina of Time Remake trailer on YouTube on my TV in my living room. It gets to the part in the trailer where they demonstrate using the ocarina, after finishing one song my phone straight up played the open chest sound and started playing the trailer.

Discussion Hero shooter communities are all bad

Every hero shooter (Rivals, Overwatch, Deadlock) has this uber vocal community that always talks about how toxic the other 2 are. All three are wildly vile. Every single one of their subs on here is full of hate OR porn yet all three call the other 2 “gooner games.”

Turning on voice chat in any of these games on any platform is an immediate downgrade in the overall experience.

Discussion Thinking About Selling My Series X. Convince Me Otherwise.

I'm seriously considering selling my Series X, but I'm curious if there's a compelling reason to keep it that I'm not thinking about.

I recently got a gaming PC, and I also own a PS5 and Switch 2. I'm keeping the latter two for their exclusives, but I'm struggling to justify keeping the Xbox. Microsoft doesn't really have much in the way of true exclusives anymore, and most of the games I'm interested in are available on PC anyway. I also plan to keep Game Pass, but would likely downgrade to PC Game Pass.

The biggest thing holding me back is my existing Xbox library. Over the past couple of years, I've deliberately purchased several newer games on Series X, including AC Shadows, Alan Wake II, Avowed, Crimson Desert, Pragmata, Dragon's Dogma 2, Indiana Jones, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, MGS Delta: Snake Eater, and others.

It would suck having to repurchase those games, especially since most aren't Xbox Play Anywhere titles. That said, I could eventually replace them on Steam (or PS5 in the case of Alan Wake II), ideally during sales.

At this point, though, I'm wondering if I'm just holding onto the console because of the money I've already invested in its games rather than because I actually need it.

For those of you who own a gaming PC alongside a Series X, what keeps you playing on Xbox? Is there something I'm overlooking, or has the console become redundant in a setup like mine?

Genuinely curious to hear some arguments for keeping it before I pull the trigger.

Im on low storage bc stupid laptop. I want some small games (preferably below 2gb) that can be played off line (multiplayer is fine if it has it)

I already have brotato and the long drive. both are relatively small (under 1gb) and indie, which is cool. Steam does not have a setting or preference to see games that are "small" but i did look for older titles, which is a pain, and did not find much of anything. Some old gold source or quake engine games would be cool, but i will take anything with a fun gameplay loop or good progression (WILL GRIND). Thanks, have a lovely day.

I didn't include anything for the letter "Q" because, although I know of some games that start with that letter, I only included games I’ve actually played. so, to keep the list accurate, I decided to leave it out.

Heyy everybody!

So I can play all roles

there are characters I play more than others, but im capable with almost all of them

The ones i play most, tho I guess are

TANK: DMon, Rein, Sigma, Rammatra, Zarya

DPS: Anran, Emre, Widow, Tracer, Sym, Junk, Mei, Sierra

SUPPORT: Juno, Kiriko, Mercy, Ana, Lucio, Zen

But again, I can play almost anybody if needed

Im open to any mode or role. 5v5, 6v6, open queue, role queue, ranked, qp.. dont matter

But im into good vibes and having fun with genuine and chill people.. to just hang out with, chat with, and have a good time..

Also open to possible long term gaming buddies and possibly evolve into other games if it goes well but no pressure there.. im 420 friendly but obviously that's not a requirement lol.. that'd be silly

Discussion Why is anyone in the year of 2026, STILL buying games at launch?

You've waited years, maybe even a decade, for whatever game to come out. I don't care if it's indie or triple A, games have come out broken and half finished for years now and it can ruin your experience. What is one more month of waiting so that they patch everything and you can have a GOOD first experience playing a game?

And don't get me started on pre-orders, you might as well be paying $100 to be a beta tester.

Discussion Gamers and hydration - Help in a uni project study(4 Q&As in comments, no google forms etc, takes 2 minutes)

Hello gamer community. This is a uni project regarding gamers and hydration. Please troll and report appropriately if this is not the place.

We are trying to find ways to keep people hydrated as many among us often forget to drink enough water. This is the first iteration - a smart water bottle. It reminds you to drink at regular intervals and you can set a goal for the day which the bottle keeps track of based on weight. Also completely customizable ESP32(or similar), own code, anime tiddies(or Doom) on a small touch screen, RGB LEDs, share with your friends(connect to Discord etc), machine washable, wireless(batteries) - all the goodies.

Now to the questions:

  1. How often do you forget to hydrate during gaming? Scale of 1 to 4 with 4 being forgetting constantly.

  2. Would a smart water bottle encourage you to drink more water? Scale of 1 to 4 with 4 being greatly encourages.

  3. What would be the preferred method of reminder: lights, sound, vibration? Or combination of.

  4. Open feedback about anything regarding hydration or the proposed solution.

I greatly appreciate if you take a minute to answer these questions!!! Thank you :)
