Discussion Bo7. To Buy or not to buy…

I don’t have much time for games and haven’t really been able to get into anything lately.
I’m weighing the option of buying games pass ultimate to try out bo7 zombies.
Is it worth it? Or should I just buy the game?

Video Officially a Half-Life Game: Gunman Chronicles

Today's topic? The fact that technically, there's a third party licensed Half-Life game, and I love it.

Gunman Chronicles is a sleeper hit, a beautiful, terrible disaster, and something that I want to share with the world.

I couldn't compile my thoughts into a brief review, so today's rant is an educational one.

Discussion New reviewer here ,any advice??

Hi im a pretty new reviewer , im pretty young ig but im in love with retro games so I always play them and well reviews are like my therapy since i literally have no friends lol, so I try to post on yt some reviews, I dont really care much about views since its for fun ,

I have played a lot of good games but i LOVE talking about the laughably bad games a lot

But I still have one review up which is kinda mid and like 3 whole drafts of actual good ones and im soo bad at motivating myself to finish the script since they're soo long ..currently I have in the works a review on mission impossible operation surma lmao ,and my first rev that was like 30 mins has 30 pages of script and this one has 30 but im just at the half of the story segment.. I love telling the story in detail cause this is what usually makes the games funny to talk about and I think that review is actually good but it might be too long, is it normal for most the video to be the story segment ???

And also how do yall focus on only 1 game , i already have drafts to mib alien crisis(worst game ive ever played , I tried to also record a whole lets play /game video which is okay but it takes long to edit ofc not surprize there) which it think im going to make first since the game wasnt that long tbh, the m:i ps2 game, and also the wii hawx 2 game which is sitting there to rot for soo long even tho thats the first u finished out of them all, im thinking of also doing ac0 belkan war to have at least something pozitive,

Im asking a bit for advice on the length of stuff if its normal or not, I like my style, because its genuienly how id talk to a friend if I had one and I love making them joke filled thats why I choose worser ones, I just love putting all the personality I have in them :>

Article [Game Review] Thank You Bus Driver - Double Fine’s New Bus Driving Simulator

Post image
1 Upvotes

Thank You Bus Driver took me a little bit to get the hang of, but once I got going, I actually had quite a bit of fun. While part of me wishes there were different maps, I’m also kind of glad I didn’t have to memorize more locations. There’s not a whole lot to the game, but with it only being about 3 hours long, I think it’s a good bite sized game to run through.

Article Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 PS5 Review - A Pixel Perfect Boomer Shooter Sequel

Boltgun 2 brings with it an updated arsenal, a new playable female character, new enemies, and plenty of accessibility options. There's even multiple difficulty settings for those needing a challenge. The boomer shooter gameplay, itself, is simple yet effective. It's over-the-top gory fun with impactful weaponry. The levels offer up a challenge in the usual gated fashion with mobs lying in wait as well as a boss at the end. There's also secret medals to find. It is very basic in mode and feature offerings, but of high quality in presentation. The pixel design gives it a prestigious look while the visceral sound effects, and soundtrack add to the action. It's tons of fun, albeit a little limited in content.

Discussion Game reviewers: How are games assigned to you?

Hey everyone!

I wanted to ask a question to those who write game reviews for any outlet (no need to name names).

I've been curious about how game reviews work for a while now, and a question came to mind: When you're given a game to review, is it usually based on your personal preferences and interests, or are games just randomly assigned to you?

If there's anything else you can share about the process without getting yourself into trouble, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks a lot!

Discussion Looking for more reviews of A World of Keflings on Steam

A World of Keflings is an old Xbox 360 (XBLA) game that we (NinjaBee) recently resurrected on Steam. We're <50 reviews short of the 500 milestone. This is probably a long shot, but if you've played it on Steam, a review (of any kind) would mean a lot to our very small team. Thank you!

Took me a while to get this one out thanks to work and home life being mega busy, but it's finally out!

Honestly a fun game that unfortunately suffers from being marred in glitches and bugs.

Silver Pines blends Metroidvania traversal, survival horror mechanics, and an investigative detective experience on par with Lynch's Twin Peaks, and Konami's Silent Hill series. Inspirations aside it manages to create it's own identity among genre greats. Masterully crafting atmosphere with rotoscope animations, and an eerily uncanny world filled to the brim with mystery. Centered around a private investigator known as Walker players try to hunt down a missing musician named Eddie Velvet at Silver Pines. As it turns out citizensof Silver Pines have been evacuated do to a coming storm emergency, leaving Walker with free roaming privileges. By solving puzzles, collecting key items, and making use of weapons Walker will face off against a supernatural threat as he gains access to new locations, previously inaccessible. Ultimately coming to terms with the missing persons case, and the deeper mystery surrounding Silver Pines. Overall, it delivers the survival horror experience in a fresh new way, as easily approachable or as challenging as you desire through four difficulty settings.

Video Silent Hill: Townfall is better than Silent Hill f… but still MEH

Thumbnail
youtube.com
1 Upvotes

I consider last year’s Silent Hill F to be one of the worst games I’ve ever played. Seriously, I can’t call it anything other than crap. So I was certain of one thing: whatever comes after Silent Hill F, it can’t be any worse. And that was easily confirmed, because Townfall really IS better. Not by much, but… at least it’s something. The developers are the Scottish studio Screen Burn Interactive, whom I’d never heard of before, but according to one YouTube comment, they’ve released three fairly minimalist games so far. I have to agree – Townfall is also very minimalist, maybe too much for its own good in terms of gameplay.

More in my impressions from the full game! :)

Rating: 4/10
Pros: it's better than Silent Hill F, stylized save system, operating room sequence, sequence in the house with the cassettes
Cons: combat system, performance, RED otherworld, stealth gameplay, low variety of enemies, final chapter

Czech version

Viderecenze: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMbK46cRpg8

Hodnocení: 4/10
+: je to lepší než Silent Hill F, stylizace ukládání, pasáž na operačním sále, pasáž v domě s kazetami
-: bojový systém, technické zpracování, rudá záře nad Kladnem (other world), stealth gameplay, počet druhů nepřátel, závěrečná kapitola

Article Alpha Nomos Review – A Rhythm-Fuelled Roguelite That Marches to Its Own Beat

Thumbnail thegaminginferno.net

Music is front an center in the hack-n-slash roguelite from RibCage Games. From the musical weapons to the combat effecting the very soundtrack you'll find that timing is key, and keeping to the rhythm is a must in the post-apocalyptic world overtaken by killer puppets. As Cello, the designated heroine of the story, you must effectively utilize your weapons and power-ups to defeat the enemy, all to the tune of instrumentals that change according to your combat combo based performance. Dodge, and deal damage to the rhythm and beat as you restore hope to this desolate world. Sure to be an indie darling, and fit for a day one purchase!!!
