Hey guys, I'm a 21 F and I'm planning to join the university of galway for masters in biomedical science. I'm planning on choosing the 2 year course since it's shown that internships take place around the second year. I just wanted to inquire how the internship process takes place and is the university of galway worth it for science and research programmes?

Anyone know which grocery stores stock frozen edamame (soy beans)? Either in the pod or shelled. TIA!

Hi All,

We have a new person joining our company here in Galway and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a vacant room to rent in Galway city or the surrounding areas?

I'm a bit lost on where to look for advertisements too, like on Daft it seems like all the ads are for full properties to rent but this person is just looking for a room. Where would ye be looking for single room ads?

She is in her early twenties, recently graduated from university. Any help or advice would be appreciated thanks.

One little thing that is really annoying me with playgrounds lately is the fact that families never close and lock the gates when they're leaving. It's one thing if it was the kids doing it but no, the parents don't seem to give a crap either. I'm a parent to an autistic child who is an extreme flight risk, he can be right beside you one second and in full flight the next and is incredibly fast too so he can make it towards an open gate in an instant. It's really not that hard to close a gate after you and be a bit more considerate for other users. What would be even better would be self closing/latching gates but then that would make entering more difficult for buggy/stroller/wheelchair users so the easiest option is to just close the gates when you're done!

I live in Bohermore and I heard something sounding like an air siren. Did someone else hear that too? Does anyone know more about it?

Hi all, will be moving out of my 2bed apartment at some stage in the next month and just said I’d post here to see if anyone would be interested.

-€2100 rent a month
- ample parking
- 1st storey apartment with central heating, private access and is in a very quiet little area. 2 bedrooms are both well sized with loads of room for a double bed in each and a desk for working from home.
- apartment is located on headford road
- bus stop right outside which brings you into eyre square in 15-30mins depending on traffic

Feel free to DM me and I can put you in contact with the landlord. Cheers!

Didnt see they had announced a gig until a couple of hours after and completely missed the boat does anyone have a spare?

Galway Board Games is a community for adults who enjoy modern board games, meeting regularly in Galway since 2019. We typically have 15–25 people at each meetup, playing a huge variety of games from our personal collections.

You don't need to be an experienced player or have a collection of your own. New to modern board games? That's fine. There are always people around to explain a game, and plenty of games to choose from.

You also don't need to arrive with a group. Come on your own, join a game already in progress, or bring something you'd like to play.

No experience required. No collection required. Just turn up and play.

Game nights are Tuesdays - register here on Meetup to attend the next one: https://www.meetup.com/galwaycitysocial/events/316901933/?utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=share-btn_savedevents_share_modal&utm_source=link&utm_version=v2&member_id=226906998
