Here's the story line I got so far it's vague pretty barebones, but here it is!

I(low-level employee/test subject) wake up in a room alone with alarms blaring just down the hallway, containment breach containment breach is echoing. You can set the pace and how often I encounter people's entities and so forth. I'd like to have dnd mechanics for stuff. However it's not required.

I was assigned to do some orbital observation on a new unknown planet, simply sitting in a ship, staring down to study its geology and atmosphere for now. Landing was prohibited, anyone who went there reported violent wildlife, but hallucinogens is a more likely explanation considering they were unharmed despite supposedly being attacked and dying.

However some debris sent my ship out of orbit, with a direct course for the surface of the planet. No commands responding, and by the time an emergency signal was sent it was already seconds away from crashing. To my surprise, i woke up in the middle of debris within a clearing, completely surrounded by dense forests, and yet fully unharmed, even my suit was intact.

1 - Group Project

Our characters share a class together, and have been assigned a project with two other students to get it done by the following week. 2 - Office Hours

Only one of our characters would be a student here, the other being a professor. Could be of any class. The student had asked for some help on an assignment, or maybe some feedback on a test, and the professor kindly asks them to show up for office hours. Sometimes those hours are at times of day where it'd be fine to show up, but these hours are around 8:00-9:30 at night, so the student really has to go out of their way to come over.

Perhaps the professor understands that fact, maybe bringing some food or snacks to hold the student over instead of making them pay for their own dinner, or maybe the professor doesn't think of that because they're too overworked.

When the student arrives, they are the only student to be there (not much surprise there), and the professor is happy to help, even if they're possibly overworked and exhausted. Specific details would be implemented based on how you'd want our characters to relate to one another.

Your character could be whomever, but your character would know mine in some way, likely through high school as the 'weird kid', whether that connotation would be negative or positive is up to you.

Your character would find mine in the library, headphones on and doing something vaguely nerdy or weird, whether that's making things for DND, watching/reading specific media, or anything like that, and perhaps there's a shared interest, or just some other happenstance.

Whatever the case may be, your character would end up with mine, perhaps unwillingly at a small hangout at their house, slowly letting my character grow on them until they can't pretend they're just friends anymore.
