First time at Fulham FC? Here's your handy guide to buying tickets, where to sit, and where to have a drink...
Hello all!
I’ve noticed with our return to the Premier League, we’ve seen an influx of foreign fans and tourists coming to this sub for advice around their first games - from buying tickets through to matchday tips and what to expect. With this in mind, I thought I’d write a quick guide to help anyone thinking about coming down to the Cottage. If this is useful, feel free to sticky it to the sub and I can update with recommendations from everyone else here!
Buying Tickets
Tickets will go on sale to members before general sale. To guarantee a seat, especially against the bigger teams, I recommend purchasing a membership. Tickets will get to general sale eventually but may sell out before that point.
The exception is cup games. These will be much easier to get a ticket to, with season ticket holders themselves having to repurchase their seats (and sometimes not doing so). If you want to guarantee a seat, cup games are a much less stressful experience (albeit at the cost of a worse atmosphere in the earlier rounds).
The other option is repurchasing through the Fulham Facebook group, which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2204930047. This will often have season ticket holders who are unable to make a game, and will sell (often at a reduced rate vs general sale) their seat for a particular fixture. I wouldn’t try this route unless you’re actually a Fulham fan…
Where To Sit
Hammersmith End: Loudest home support, especially towards the back of H4, H5, H6. The front rows, up to about G/H, are uncovered so watch out for rain, and the first couple of rows are sunken below pitch level so views are pretty poor. If you get here early, you can head down to the far end of the stand for a pint on the corner by the river underneath the George Cohen statue, which is lovely. Getting pints at halftime is pretty hellish, you’ll need to duck out at like 40 mins. I never do it myself but each to their own!
Johnny Haynes: A lot of season ticket holders and families, but still good atmosphere. Traditional wooden seats in the back two thirds of the stand (which is a cool experience). Beware of seats behind the poles! Again, pints at halftime are a bit of a nightmare. This is a very unique stand and a Grade II listed building I believe, so a v cool one to attend!
Riverside: The shiny new stand. V posh matchday experience, but you’re paying premium for it. It’s not finished yet, so not a huge amount of seats available.
Putney: Half home fans and half away. It used to be the much maligned neutral stand but atmosphere has steadily improved since the relocation of a lot of Riverside fans to it during the redevelopment.
Pubs
Over Putney Bridge, you’ve got the Golden Lion. One of the busiest pubs on a match day, this is a stone’s throw from Putney Bridge station. You’ll need to show your ticket to gain entrance so don’t bother if you’re not actually attending the match. Big garden and lots of screens to watch the early kickoff, and gets suuuuper busy on match day. Avoid The Eight Bells, Temperance and Kings Arms as they tend to be away pubs on matchdays.
On the Putney side of the river you’ve got The Spotted Horse (good food), The Coat & Badge (great outdoor area and screens outside to watch the early/late kickoff), The Rocket (Wetherspoons yes, but it’s on the river and actually got nice riverside seating) and The Bricklayer’s Arms (super old school, quite a cool experience if you’re not from the UK and want a proper pint). Just be aware that it takes around 15/20 minutes to walk to the ground from these so leave in enough time.
On the Hammersmith side of the grounds, you’ve got the Crabtree. Right on the river and absolutely lovely! Full of Fulham fans. And then there’s a tonne of pubs on Fulham Palace Road such as The Distillers and Old Suffolk Punch.
If you’re attending your first match and want a quintessential Fulham experience, I’d say Golden Lion and Crabtree can’t go wrong.

Real Salt Lake [1] - 0 San Jose - Luc De Fougerolles 79'
Goal for Fig Rolls! Unfortunately he had to be subbed and helped back to the dressing room with an injury but hopefully it's not too serious.

Best Pub for viewing the game
US fan coming to London and I was looking for recommendations on the best pub to watch the game on November 7th v. Newcastle?
I'm trying to get tickets but I missed out on the cheapest hospitality options (my fault for hesitating) and they jumped from 400 to 800 for two tickets. My boyfriend who isn't a fan is not convinced it's worth the price jump. Lol I'm not even interested in the hospitality aspect I just want to go to a game!
I've settled on the fact that if I can't get cheaper tickets I'll just enjoy the match on TV at a local pub so I'm looking for the best spot to do that.
I do have a fulham account and I'm still going to be trying for tickets but this is where I'm at. I've also heard good things about one reseller but I'm still worried it's risky.
Any tips or advice is appreciated!

Bernd Leno making big reflex saves week after week is one of the only things keeping us in games right now.
He made three saves at Ipswich, including a brilliant close-range stop late on, but we still conceded twice in the closing stages. It’s frustrating how little protection he gets when defenders get dragged around on counters and set pieces.

Ryan Sessegnon was one of the few positives against Ipswich
His long-range goal was a real bright spot, and it was frustrating that Fulham still came away with nothing after conceding twice late on. With the team struggling for results, could Sessegnon’s attacking threat from left-back become more important in the coming games?

Arbeloa has to go
Gven his complete and utter lack of tactical knowledge and arrogance, Arbeloa has to go. He's treating Fulham as if he's above them, with absolutely zero evidence to support this belief. He flopped at Madrid as a (caretaker) manager. It was abundantly obvious that this a terrible appointment from the start. Tony Khan is the root cause of all this. Treating the club like it's a Football Manager save. We need a DoF who actually understands the game and recruitment. 90% of our big money signings are absolute flops, based more off name power and the club they are arriving from, rather than talent, the one exception to this rule being Kevin, for which I believe he watched a few highlight reels - but also a complete flop.

Alvaro Arbeloa talks a good game, but time is running out for Spaniard at Fulham
Alvaro Arbeloa said he likes pressure but he remains perilously out of his depth and time is running out for the Spaniard to turn things around at Craven Cottage.

Shitpost Mr Khan, I would be very happy to manage the team.
I will play a 5-2-2-1. Long passes from our fullbacks to Gonzalo as the attacking mids develop a high press and the defenders sit back. We will strike quickly. We will still be vulnerable in midfield, but a 3 cb setup means we will concede less.
I won’t go out of my way to give all of our substitutes a chance. Results will be ugly often. We will win many games 1-0 and lose many games 3-0. But at the end of the season, we’ll be in 16th and we’ll like it.
Please Mr Khan. I’m your only hope.
Well, I guess you also have Eddie Howe and Thomas Frank and Kieran McKenna and Sean Dyche and Thiago Motta.

Craven Corner - Fulham need to get more from Gonzalo Garcia but it's a joint effort
Gonzalo Garcia arrived at Fulham with quite the reputation and hype.
£40m, 2 goals in 8 games isn't the best return, but there's a lot to like admire for the young star.
The latest Craven Corner details how we can get more from GG7 and why that responsibility is actually shared across the team, and not just on his shoulders.

Sessegnon's hit vs Ipswich Town
A wonderful strike by Ryan Sessegnon striking it from 26.5 Yards (24.2 meters). Average speed we clocked at 102 km/h (63 mph) and the estimated peak speed was 120 km/h (75mph).

Craven Corner: Fulham’s Familiar Collapse Leaves Arbeloa Running Out of Answers and Time
It's been a while since the last article, due to international break and I was hoping to more positive today but it weren't to be.
Another lead lost by Fulham under Arbeloa, and a pattern in the substitutions that are proving to be the reason of our downfall in every lost lead.
Grab a coffee and read the latest Craven Corner on the link above.

Big fan of AA, but my patience has run thin.
Will the management at Fulham be brave to continue backing him. i see this as a multi year project. There is certainly a method to his madness. Hope the powers to be are looking at long term and not short term. Yes, AA needs to start winning. But there are other tangibles.

Discussion Does anyone have hope still?
I don’t know i feel other teams gonna drop points eventually but we need yo win too. It seems like the players just know we’re gonna concede when minute 80 hits, it feels like they are nervous and afraid every time. I don’t know if it’s only the coach with his subs or whatever it is. The premier league is getting tougher every year more than the other and i don’t know if playing this way will make us stay in the prem. This league has become only about physicality, strength and speed playing good football like we do know sometimes is not beneficial for this league. Because although the results are bad i actually think we look good and play nice, but this doesn’t cut it. And i also think AA should have atleast till Christmas to improve and do something. Because i dont think bringing anyone new now will make us instantly better and win games. We have to look also at the players missing these chances and making these mistakes. I put the blame 50/50 on both AA and the players. And please get some experienced attacker upfront to we can’t compete in the prem with garcia who si young and the new to this league and also muniz.

Rumours [FFN] Understand that Álvaro Arbeloa's position is hanging by a thread at Fulham. I'm told that a failure to secure 3 points against Hull City next week will likely spell the end of his tenure.

Discussion Arbeloa needs to get out
If we don’t sack him at this point we are going down at the end of the season. I get we started against hard opponents but we drop points every game once we bring in our subs. If the Khan’s don’t sack him how will he protest to get him out. Its a shame to see our club struggle like this.

Shitpost What are we doing?
Sensational come back from Ipswich to absolutely ruin my day. I genuinely do not see a win coming anytime soon. Typically Fulham to score and sit back - great move if you aren't prone to conceding at the worst possible time.
I'm trying to remain positive under Arbeloa, but my patience is almost done.
