equalisation equalization tool
I am looking to buy an EQ tool / Otovent for the purpose of training equalization. How should I choose the correct specification to buy? Can any equalization tool be used to train for any depths? Also, how should I get replacement balloons as well?
For me, I currently want to train for equalization which can help me exceed my RV depth, about -27 m with full lungs.

Check if your local pharmasies carry otovent. The eq tool itself is just basically balloon holder with hole, not very complicated. The choice of balloons will matter more, you'll have much better time with loose ones.

Personally I like the Octopus ones. They are all pretty much the same. But I would say get one with a slightly wider opening at the balloon end so that you can also use it with a tube and water column as well as a balloon. Beyond that they are all much the same IMO

As an alternative to the pharmacy in case you have a friend with a 3d printer : those are among the things easy to print for cheap and massively overpriced everywhere else.

I like the Molchanovs EQ tool. It has the added advantage of being able to control the opening which allows you to fine tune the exercises.

Also, don't bother with the electronic ones. They're expensive and not useful IMO.

They’re all the same and replacement balloons you can get from pretty much anywhere, they don’t need to be the official otovent balloon, just sth similarly sized. Like the other user said, check the local pharmacy for otovent.
