So I have looked all over for a good enough flip phone. To be very honest, I really wanted one compatible with Verizon just not an American brand, but all overseas brands that are compatible with Verizon are very ugly in my personal opinion. I did a lot of research on Keitai/Kyocera phones and both the 902kc and 701kc were my absolute favorites, very sexy looking phones! So, when I found a cheap (cheap enough to convince myself to buy despite not being able to use data on it currently) Kyocera DIGNO 902kc, I just said yolo and got it so it's otw now. My issue is I looked at SOOO many different brands for a flip phone with an ORANGE case, not pink or like beige, I really wanted like a bright orange but obviously it's not a very popular color so I came up empty handed and instead focused on function/overall look and gave up on my color search. However, I saw on a lot of blogs that you can take apart and mask off your flip phone and like paint/spray paint the casing and bezel then seal it and the pictures looked great and smooth.

I just wanna ask anyone who has the same kinda phone, how easy would this be? I got the black version of the phone bc the orange back with black keypad I thought would look the best (I think it only comes in black, white, and pink) and I'm fine if I have to keep it black bc it's still a very nice phone, but obv I'd prefer the orange paint job. I just wanna know is it particularly hard to safely dismantle and remantle it? Especially because of the preview screen on the front, like how it blends in with the case color, is there an obvious little box screen for it (it's super hard to tell on pictures but maybe it's more clear in person?) or would it be smarter to just mask off the whole horizontal strip on that area?

Any advice from ppl with the same model or ppl who have diy-ed/painted their flip phones before is very welcome!! I'll also keep looking through forums talking about app set ups on the 902kc, but any tips are also greatly appreciated :)) thank you!

Hello, I’m looking for a small, preferably cheap dumb phone that can still handle a few essential things: mainly maps, whatsapp, a browser and email and preferably spotify and some good connection that would work. I know that next year my country will probably be ending 2G. I don’t mind buying an older or second-hand model, i would actually pre that. I’m based in Europe, so some phones I’ve looked at aren’t an option because they’re only available in the US.

Ideally, I’d love something compact, simple and affordable. A flip phone would be great, but it’s not a requirement. The Vortex V3 would be probably the best fit for me but i can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with a similar phone? I’d really appreciate your suggestions. Thanks! 😊

I managed to get through ZTE classic folder. It runs full android 14 and is snappy has a larger battery than the Alt Mive 2. I had to snatch it up when I saw it. I wasn't even aware this was a phone. I moved from the Alt Mive 1, which was lagging for me in situations where I really needed it to do things quicker. The battery lasted me all day today. Unfortunately I can't get a case shipped to the UK from Korea.

I recently got this Kyocera 202kc/203kc flip phone and I went to Boost Mobile and T-Mobile to connect it to those carriers. They said it didn't work while I expected it too. I see other people saying it works though, mainly for the 902kc flip phone but I think they're pretty much the same with small differences. So how am I supposed to get it to work, if it's even possible for me (Might be my specific area)? Is there an extra step I have to do myself? I've done some research about it but I feel like I need clear instruction steps (ex. SIM card, carrier...).

If it matters, I also want to move my iPhone number to the flip phone too and I live in North California.

I made a post a few days ago about not being able to call on my Kyocera 902kc and I now know why but I can't seem to find out how to fix it. The thing is that my phone isn't supported on VolTE in my network and I need to try to update it to try to fix it. The problem is that I can't seem to update it because it always says that it's missing a USIM card (whatever that is). I was wondering about if anyone had an similar experience and knows how to fix this 😭. I find this phone so cute and perfect for me and I don't want to try to find another phone like this one that works on my network

I feel like these are pretty stupid questions, but I do not know how sms work. I want to get the Kyocera KYF31, which runs on Android 5. If I text via the default sms app would other people receive it via Google messages? Or should I get Google messages sideloaded? Is it compatible with Android 5? The same questions go for any sms apps really, I've seen people use QUIKSMS so I guess that's a good option, but still, would other people receive it on Google messages? Or do they need to install the same app for it to go through? (I am very confused on how this works and can't seem to find a direct answer)

Hello, I was just wondering if I could buy a motorola 2025 flip-phone in Lampa.com? I recently broke my screen by getting my phone case stuck in the foldable part. Went to the nearest phone repair place, and they advice me that it is cheaper to get a whole new phone than getting the screen replace. At lampa.com the phone goes to 150, Walmart online has it for 350, and the average cost is around like 500. I am so paranoid when it comes to online shopping, especially when I am not familiar with the site.
