I’m not sure why I feel this way, but knowing there’s 4 more routes to add and three new allies in wave two makes me not want to complete part three until then now.

If you do their paralogues I think they show up in part 3 already. And the way you can jump around chapters via the obelisk chamber means you can always begin that part again with any changes made from additional parts 1&2 play. If the DLC works the same way then you can replay it easily enough with the updates.

So personally I think I'll go ahead and finish after I get through the first four just to see the story through to completion. And maybe use the dlc as a reason to try a harder difficulty.

I genuinely don't like this sort of DLC model. If you're releasing content months to maybe even a year after launch, it really needs to be some kind of post game or separate story. I'm already 100 hours deep, and the game is so massive I doubt I'll ever come back to it after finishing it. But now I feel like I'm missing a third of the game if I continue.

Whats the difference of a seperate menu button and new obelisks for you?

I seriously, seriously doubt that they're adding 4 more Obelisks to choose.

I really don't understand why everyone is jumping to the conclusion that mere DLC is going to almost double the size of the game.

Fates revelation did it and it was in the same situation as fortune's weave where you needed to pay 20$ to have the full context on the story + save everyone.

You can already save everyone

It’s not double the size of the game from a development perspective, so it’s not that unrealistic. Not to mention Fates literally did the same thing

If you’re up for playing the game twice, you can do it this way:

First playthrough, no dlc, all 4 main lords.

Second playthrough, with dlc, all 4 sub lords.

That way you don’t repeat much, and you can just pretend the dlc doesn’t exist for your first playthrough.

I'm having a lot of fun with Fortune's Weave but this is a "play it once and never again" type of game for me. Already did Cai and Leda's Part 1 & 2. I'll just take even more of my time with Dietrich and Theodora

I agree I’m about to finish My second flame lords part 1 and I’m already over the game lol

You don't repeat much?
You repeat every fucking SLOG thing that's available throughout the game.

Ok so I think you and I have a different level of enjoyment in playing this game lol. I’m having a ton of fun on my fourth part 1 currently, but if that’s not for you then that’s ok!

I have already completed all 4 and I will complete all 4 new ones ones in 2028, when the DLC comes out.
I was reacting to the "That way you don’t repeat much", because that is just incorrect.

I'm leaning right now towards "finish Cai chapter 1, and then wait for the dlc to play anything else" because I've heard the story is a bit of a mess in late 2 and act 3, with the cut lords being a decent reason why. and classes as well makea me thjnk I'd rather wait and get the version that probably Should Have launched the game (IE all 8 lord characters)

I would disagree. The story in part 2 is weird if you dont have a specific flame lords part 1 done but even then its entirely fine.

Part 3 seems totally fine. I can kinda see where other routes might make connections but i dont think its necessary at all (disclaimer: im only halfway through part 3)

Made up my mind to do that the second I got there and saw Bertrands stats lmao

Yeah I haven't had a chance to start the game since life has been busy, and now I'm tempted to hold off until we get this

You're not alone I feel the same. I think for me the main thing driving me away from wanting to do a 2nd run is because there is so much side stuff to do and keep track off. Granted everything is probably not necessary but that is just how my brain works. I don't have much time in the day and I haven't even finished my 1st part 1 route (Theodora) yet and it is already getting a bit much. I can't imagine doing all routes and more a 2nd time unless they maybe add some form of new game + into it or something idk. I might just be too casual.

u/LiliTralala 1h ago

The game already has in-built NG+. Exp bonuses, map completion, support levels, blessings, subquests completion all carry over between routes.

1

u/Zyrken99 1h ago

Ah that's nice maybe a bit less grind through each but I was thinking more if you restart from the start like 3H had.

1

u/LiliTralala 1h ago

You can already do that and everything I stated above would be applicable still

1

u/Zyrken99 21m ago

Oh really? Well nevermind then thanks for the info!

1

u/LiliTralala 18m ago

Yeah by default what you CANNOT do is the opposite, aka starting a new game completely fresh

1

u/Scutty__ 42m ago

Tbf we dont know if they will be full length routes, that's essentially doubling the length of the game for like £10.

It might be like 4 chapters per character or something

1

u/Sad-Ebb8843 6h ago

You can always do the new routes and redo part 3

1

u/FalconDX32 5h ago

Bruh. At the rate Im going I'll be on my second route 1 when this comes out.
