Two pieces I go back and forth on whether I regret them or not. Plane was a part of my first order and the Ti oumuamua was a 2nd one I got after having the PEI/SS version.
The Ti oumuamua has better haptics than the PEI/SS model. But it is a bit boring playwise. It's main draw is the customization it offers. Which it does allow I just haven't taken advantage of it yet because tritium isn't cheap and it feels dumb ordering 50 dollars worth of tritium for ONE of them. I don't want to install UV tubes. I did buy blue titanium tubes from geeone to install with the paracord to match but haven't added them because I want to match them to a color of bead and I haven't found some I like yet. So I might go with a different color way and add tritium tubes instead.
The main gripe I have with it is that the customization extends mainly to its glass insert beads. But for some reason they decided on 5mm beads and consumer beads are often 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm. So your choices are limited when it comes to materials. Ive only found amythest, lapiz lazuli and tigers eye. But there's a lot cooler looking gem beads at 6mm. I've also found cut zirconia at 5mm but they require stacking magnets so they don't move and get stuck. Leading to making it basically just a magnet slider.
You can change the magnet strength they provide 3 or 4 strengths. I don't find much of a difference with the middle strengths. And I don't find myself wanting to mess with it either. Changing the beads and spring is all I've done really. I added a larger bead for added resistance. I think it's larger body hampers the different effects from beads.
One neat thing they did for the Ti they didn't do for its mixed version is put springs under the 4 middle beads so they area little squishy on pressing.
I don't really regret buying it. I like the aesthetic and design. It's just very thick so haptics feel dull. I do think the Ti is better than it's mixed materials version. But the PEI/SS had better colorways.
The oumuamua gets bonus points for having a paracord hole that is easy to braid. Looking at you guys 9 grid, Guardian X1, Ctulu and others I'm sure.
The Zaclab Plane is simpler. It's quite boring and the paragraphed ding ding track isn't to my taste. Dense track would've been sublime. Still would be a simple slider but complexity isn't necessary for enjoyment anyways. Note that it is loud.
What I do like about it though is the size. It's one of the very few fidgets that I feel has enough space to use it comfortably. At the price of 40 it may not be the best anymore as many affordable options have since come out. But 5 months ago it was a better option. Now I don't know. Gao Magic Stick, Neojoy, KS GT all seem better designed at a similar price point. And maybe a dozen others that haven't been restocked since their initial offerings.
Oh well too cheap to be worth reselling. At least I don't have to worry how I handle it. Zaclabs other releases seem more creative at similar prices.
