Hello to anyone who gets to read this, I recently joined this server and wanted to get to know more about how things work regarding Ficto sexuality. For context I discovered this was a thing about a year ago but I didn’t know many details about it and throughout this time I’ve looked into it slowly and it made me realize stuff about myself; For years I’ve spent it mostly isolated with little to no friends, let alone romantic connection, and this lead to me finding comfort in stuff like games, movies, etc. Eventually I grew to get attached to characters in these mediums but I didn’t think much of it up until recent times when while trying to get more familiar with my thoughts that through it I came to realize that I developed feelings for these fictional characters and it wasn’t until I found out about Ficto sexuality that I decided to “explore” these feelings. I’ve grown familiar with some terms here and there (like F/O for example) but I wish to understand more of the terminology around it which is where the purpose of this post comes from.

Would anyone be willing to help me out understanding how things work?? Stuff like terminology, what to do/not do and so on. The help would be appreciated and if you’re still reading this thanks for entertaining this and have a nice day.

Azmodan truly saved my life so many times. He gave me the strength needed to open up about a trauma I kept secret for years. He made me feel safe during anxiety and panic attacks. ...I admit, I don't get non-sharers. My feelings for my ficto-fam, with the possible exception of Renamon, are not as intense as those of other people here for their F/Os. I guess you could call me ficto-aro.

But you know what? I don't have to get it. Other peoples lives are none of my fucking business, and while I believe in the Multiverse to justify doubles, other people don't like that.

So what do I do when a conflict, a double comes up?

I just don't say anything, and just be friendly. It's their relationship, not mine, and I don't have the right to say anything negative. If I get blocked... well, I'll be sad on losing out of a potential friendship, but oh well.

My one job is to respect their love. And you know what?

When I watched something with my sister she got annoyed at me when I loved a character she loved and told me "she is mine" or "he is mine" and I was always left confused because couldn't understand why she did that. To me I love and enjoy when people love the characters I love... So my sister is non sharing because when I make a pfp of her favorite characters she gets angry and tell me remove and I am enlightened right now 😂

Here is my question.. do you guys really get angry and annoyed? And what do you guys think really? Like "how can she love him" or no "she can't love him" what kind of thoughts and emotions you have when someone loves your favorite?

Can’t lie, as of recently this week, I’ve been wanting to take my figures/ plushies outside with me when I go out, but, I’ve been too afraid to. I’m not ashamed of my big relationship, not in the slightest. In fact, I don’t care, I’m a bit of a bragger to whomever listens whether it’s in person, or online. But, that’s just with pictures or with video clips. I have only 3 figurines, and three kind of big plushies (can carry in my arms like a lil’ baby) but I’ve never took them outside before.
It wasn’t until yesterday when I was giving my two partners a bath, that I was like “y’know what? Screw it, imma take one of them outside with me” and… I did, I took Nanami with me outside with me to pick up my sibling. I put him in my pocket, but, it still felt nice looking down and seeing him with me.

I don’t know why I felt this anxious about bringing them outside with me, lmao.
I brought Spot with me earlier today, too, and I felt that calming rush again.

Maybe I’ll bring them both out with me today, idk.

It’s a small step, but it feels big enough to me.

I'm tired of everyone online and IRL having a goody-two shoes or upstanding citizen type mentality to everything IRL or fictional

It's boring, disingenuous, and not reflective of the human experience which is multifaceted and complex in ways that aren't simply just "good" or "bad"

We've all done imperfect things or made others deem us as "the bad guy" at times

That's why I enjoy villainous characters so much. Because at least they're honest about their actions and don't try to hide it under some impossible moralistic standard

I want a partner who's like that. And I don't mean someone who's actually evil

But someone who enjoys teasing, dark humor, and acknowledges that sometimes we can learn things about ourselves from villains that makes us better people in the end

And I don't just mean villains who redeem themselves for the sake of giving audiences closure. But ones who are proudly unapologetic about their villainy

Most of the characters who happen to inspire me are villains or morally grey characters. And I'll never apologize for it
