Ability: Thermal siphoning

despite its name, FIRE actually works like a sort of vaccum for any heat in an area, rather than being a stand that cranks up the heat.

when putting its ability into effect, sources of heat in a location are slowly sucked up into its furnace like chest cavity and thighs, leaving the area to slowly cool down over time. The change in heat depends on how close the user is to the chosen location. For example, if the user picks a room that’s 10 meters away from him, the process is slowed down, but if the user were to get closer and closer, the speed would begin to ramp up, but at the cost of being easier to find.

being a crowd control stand, it’s horrible at targeting one specific person, so the user works best alone with no support, being as they’re the only one immune during the effects duration.

TL;DR the Grateful Dead but it turns people cold instead of old, alongside affecting objects as well

For anyone curious why I’m doing this: we didn’t have as many people this month for Standoffs so I’m rectifying that by increasing the Slander meme volume, as the song I want to use for Complete Standoffs Slander is a tad longer than I expect Slander to be by my own hand.

This will again, run until October Standoffs is over. Depending on how big next Standiffs roster size is I may or may not do this again. If this goes well, as Slander is a community thing, I might open Slander submissions anyway even if the roster size is fine.

Ability: Welcome to the Snow

Dream Sweet takes the form of a humanoid figure in a large hoodie with star and crystalline shapes all over it, its lower half not having legs. It has the physical fighting stats of a peak human, with some added durability.

Its ability creates snow from itself, which falls gently downward. The user can summon the stand over their own body, or can have the stand manifest high into the air to greatly increase the range. The more area the snow created by Dream Sweet covers, the weaker the effects of the ability.

That ability is best described as; “Numb, Replace, Effect.”

When the snow touches a targets skin, the effect is already activating. The more snow that touches the skin, the faster the effects builds up. It begins as a numbing in the senses. All 5 senses are under the user’s control, able to pick and choose or just numb all of them until, if the user wishes, all senses are completely gone.

Once this has taken effect, the user is then able to create artificial stimuli within the target’s brain. Essentially illusions that perfectly use the victim’s 5 senses.

Finally, once under this effect, the stand can interact directly with the bodily functions of a target. The most common form of this and causing someone to sleep, be full of adrenaline, or even accelerate healing.

The timeline of how long it takes to effect someone varies by the range the stand is making the snow, how much the target it covered up to prevent it from touching their skin, and if the target is within the user’s line of sight.

This ability can either affect everyone within the snow, or just a single target, with a single target requiring the user to perceive them in some way and know where they are.

Finally, the user is unaffected by their own stand.

This stand represents my own nature. I like to think of myself as someone who easily breaks down people’s walls, is able to explain and express my own thoughts and feelings, and make them stick, causing actual change in others. It’s a type of manipulation, yes, but one with the desire to genuinely make someone feel better. However, this ability in stand-form is one that could FORCE others to be under this spell, unable to trust their own senses.

Can create a copy of itself and attach itself to a living person/being and "possesses" them. The copy is only half the stand's size and it's stats are halved. The possessed person does not experience any changes and can continue as they were. Their memories, personality and abilities are unchanged.

When the copy attaches itself to a host, the user gains all the knowledge and memories of that person. The information gained only applies to when the stand copy was attached and does not apply any new information forward.

If the user desires, they can remove the copy from the host. Doing so triggers the stand'a second ability. Since everything the host did after being possessed was technically the copy's doing, removing the copy can undo any action done by the host. This includes murder and death as well injuries they inflicted or inflicted onto them.

The user can only possess a specific person with a copy once. After the copy is removed, the user can never possesses them ever again. Upon the user's death, all copies are automatically removed. Can be used on the user as well.

Has very little combat application, but can produce many copies. The copies must also physically touch the target. Can work on stands if the stand is possesses sentience a certain level of sentience

Song inspiration: The Emptiness Machine by Linkin Park.

User: Josaku Joestar

Appearance: Appears as an almost crystalline humanoid, limbs hovering close to the main chest which appears as a black hole (not an actual black hole), but has a unique function. Whenever the user places something into the chest of Emptiness Machine, it can erase all instances of what was placed into it from the world, as if it never existed, however something can only be erased like this if the user completely understands the objects inventor, its uses, both intended and mundane, along with when it was created first in the world.

An object erased like this becomes “Lost” only the user of Emptiness Machine can remember its existence, and the world will correct itself by adjusting what is used in its place instead to make up for the absence.

The other ability of Emptiness Machine is called “Numb” which is a state Josaku can reach when he shows no outside emotion, including physical tells or vocal cries. When this state is accessed he can’t be harmed by physical, mental, or psychological means, as while in this state, the world can’t perceive him. He is empty. This also removes him from being affected by time altering abilities as long as he remains in the “Numb” state, the only way to break the Numb state is to force him to show emotion. Yes, the way you beat him is rage bait.

Josaku in technicality is a villain, but is in that morally grey both right and wrong area. His goal is to erase the tether the Joestar’s have to overall “righteousness” and their ultimate fate of fighting evil with every generation. All so he can allow the Joestar’s and all those connected to them the ability to choose their own fate rather than be bound to one set before them.

If I were to try and give this an actual canon, it would have to take place before Stone Ocean and the universe reset, as his goal is physically harmful to the memory the Joestar’s have already built, along with future generations. Leaving him as a toss up of if he was right or wrong in those who view his story.

This is Kiss from a Rose, I’ve been designing a handful of stands lately but really ended up liking this design.

Taking suggestions for the ability, my current thought is something like Enigma, hiding stuff in the fabric, but thought that was kind of stupid.

Dream Theater can create very realistic illusions. They are visible, hearable, they also have a scent, they are touchable, they have a taste, even though they aren't real.

It's secondary ability is Dream Theater: Octavarium, which can trap only one person at a time in their own head for 8 units of any time measurement, like for 8 seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months, years, but it must be eight. They'll be stuck in a place in the middle of nowhere, and a Newton's cradle is hanging from the sky (inspired by the Octavarium album cover).

[GU!BE] can place up to nine eyes on any surface. Any perspective viewed by these eyes are then replicated in a physical photo. These photos can be viewed by anyone as a live broadcast to those locations.
These photos can also be used to transport the user and anyone the user chooses to those locations, but doing so will burn the photo and destroy the eye.

So I came up with this concept for an illusion-based stand user recently. The concept is a pair of twins, one being a stand user, the other is not. Gonna call them Bill and Phil for simplicity from here on out. Bill is the stand user, Phil is the non-stand user. Bill uses this illusion-based stand to warp the appearance of himself and of a small area around him. Now the stand isn't too useful in a straight fight, but Phil's there to beat the Stand user up directly while his brother, Bill, uses his Stand to trick their opponent.

I haven't thought of specifics such as whether or not the Stand has a physical form or cue to look out for, but both stand users and non-stand users can see illusions made by Bill's stand.

How effective would this strategy be, realistically speaking? How quick would the gimmick be found out?

Before starting, I just want to explain the idea behind it. So the most obvious idea would basically to just make them 「The World」 but I think its a real cop out so instead I thought I would loosely base the abilities off of the themes of the song.

Shock-Wave Manipulation

「Time Stand Still」 can manipulate shock waves and physical vibrations within roughly 10 meters of the Stand or user by either amplifying or dampening their intensity.

Amplification

「Time Stand Still」 can increase the power of relatively weak disturbances in the air to become devastating attacks. For example:

• The shock-wave of stomping on the ground could be amplified from an unnoticeable vibration to a powerful shock-wave that sends targets off balance.
• A clap can be amplified into a short-ranged concussive blast capable of knocking enemies backward and breaking nearby windows.
• The mechanical shock produced by firing a gun can be amplified, dramatically increasing the recoil, causing the weapon to hit the shooter in the face.
• A punch could be amplified, greatly increasing the force and sending the target flying.

Dampening

「Time Stand Still」 can also reduce the power of shock-waves, bringing all disturbances to almost absolute stillness. For example:

• The Stand can dampen vibrations affecting the user or a nearby target, allowing them to remain extremely steady and aim with exceptional precision. Prolonged use on a living target can interfere with bodily vibrations and circulation, causing numbness, dizziness, nausea, and eventually more serious effects. This requires the user to be very close to the target to do and requires concentration making it hard to do in a fight.
• It can stabilize shaking or vibrating objects and structures, such as temporarily steadying part of a collapsing building or preventing a phone from vibrating and alerting its owner.
• It can dampen the mechanical shock and vibrations produced when a firearm is discharged, greatly reducing its sound and felt recoil. Repeated use causes the weapon to heat rapidly as less energy escapes through vibration, potentially making it too hot to hold or damaging it internally.
• It can weaken the impact of incoming projectiles by dampening the shock and vibration transferred when they strike, reducing their effectiveness. This becomes much more difficult against larger or faster objects.

Focused Shock Wave

With concentration, 「Time Stand Still」 can use dampening to stabilize itself before concentrating an amplified shock wave into a narrow ranged attack.

The attack remains effective at roughly 20 meters before rapidly losing power as the wave disperses. Forcing the Stand to move or break concentration greatly reduces its accuracy and effectiveness.

Vibration Detection

By concentrating, the user can sense vibrations traveling through the air and solid surfaces, granting them superhuman spatial awareness.

This allows the user to perceive their surroundings, detect movement, and locate people or objects even through walls or other obstacles. Greater concentration increases the clarity and effective range of this ability.

The user may close their eyes while using Vibration Detection to reduce distractions and improve its effectiveness.

Melee Combat

「Time Stand Still」 is capable of close-range combat, but its raw physical strength is below power-focused Stands such as 「Star Platinum」, 「Stone Free」, or 「Tusk」.

However, by amplifying the shock waves produced by its own strikes, 「Time Stand Still」 can greatly increase the effective force of its physical attacks, allowing it to hit far harder than its natural strength would normally allow.

This amplification can also be applied to nearby allies, including other Stand users, increasing the force of their physical attacks as long as they remain within 「Time Stand Still」's manipulation range.

[APPEARENCE]: Still open. I'm leaning towards natural humanoid but still thinking of the overall design. I also like natural non-humanoid because I love the direction of 「November Rain」's design but still want something more resembling of a humanoid in the top half of the design. I think colors would include an almost silver white and a bronze-ish brown as accents, maybe red as the main color? I also think stripes or a wave pattern would be cool. Basically, TBD.

Ability: teleports via a large portal it can place anywhere to pop out of and attack. It can consume anything 4 feet wide or 7 feet wide while and transport it to pocket dimension. It transports it to a pocket dimension where it will begin to dissolve anything other than its user. The user can use Maneater for transportation. It can also make smaller portals to change its size, but the max is the previously discussed dimensions

User description: Vera is 35yo, works job to job, and has no meaningful connections, but he doesn't care. As a matter of fact, Vera cares about almost nothing. Deep in the core of his being lies a void that can never be filled.

Stand type: Automatic, sentient, humanoid

Appearance: Dark Side of the Moon (DSM) is a grey imposing frankenstein/mismatched looking figure with demon faces scattered across its body, all of which have really long tongues tied to each other like a loose red web across its body. Its head was split open above the jaw, now hanging and revealing in its place a green terminator looking robo-skull.

Ability:

This stand indiscrimanently travels to random people across the world and steals all their cherished memories (completely removing them from the person), in the form of small porcelain dolls. The stand then returns to and presents them to its user in a futile attempt to breath life into his empty existence.

Anyone who has just had their memories removed by DSM is able to see it (not just stand users). If the target decides to take back their memories from DSM (must be immediately after removal), then it will activate its ability. The stand will force its target's consciousness to hijack someone else's body from any where in the world that DSM chooses, Instantaneously. Which can be done as often as DSM desires or whenever it sees fit. DSM will go with them appearing exactly as it did before (from the target's perspetive, everything just changed around them, except for the stand). DSM does this because it gains complete ownership of memories it has stolen if it can travel 5km away from the target (beyond the horizon), and this is a great means for disorientation. If the hijacked body is killed, then the target's consciousness is moved to a new body (they do feel everything, though).

DSM is intelligent, ny-omniscient. However, it resents its purpose as Tim E. Veras stand (it completes its job efficiently nonetheless), as this is a waste of its talents. If DSM believes its target will disrupt its duty, it will try its absolute best to disuade them by rapid-fire transfering their consciousness to people in perill or seconds from death. DSM understands the devastating mental tole that comes with being handed the responsibility of someone elses life. While only capable of fleeing its target, it will do everything in its power to crush their spirit. In the case of great persistence, DSM will resort to trapping people in prisoners, putting them in dangerous circumstances, or even in the bodies of amputees. Once DSM makes it past the horizon, its ability will end and the person it's been tormenting will have their consciousness placed back in their body, just without their favourite memories, and some new bad ones instead.

Its worth noting that Tim E. Vera doesn't know the extend his stand goes to to retrieve these memories. Though, its questionable how much he'd care.

P.S. just a fun anecdote, but since a target individuals consciousness is constantly changing bodies due DSMs ability, and the fact that the affect of DSMs ability only ends when it gets farther than 5km, then the target is technically immortal as long as they're close to DSM (and Tim E. Vera is still alive).

Type: mechanical humanoid- long range sentient

Ability: Seven Nation Army is capable of duplicating any object up to seven times. The copies are identical in every way, and the stand cannot duplicate living beings, but it can duplicate himself. Even though he’s both strong and intelligent, his arrogance and superiority complex makes it so he doesn’t operate well with his clones. He also is know to talk incessantly to throw off his opponents, and he will often argue with his copies mid fight and get distracted

Honestly, I’m not great at drawing in the JJBA style, but i tried my best with both SNA and Akari. I nailed the eyes pretty well, so score for me I suppose!

Stand Description
Ooo La La La is a humanoid Stand specializing in ambushes, mobility, and the temporary absorption of other Stands abilities. Its body is restrained by a straitjacket, with a shock therapy helmet covering its head. When activating its ability, two thin arms emerge violently from openings in its shoulders, each possessing a mouth filled with teeth in the palm.

Ooo La La La can operate at a considerable distance from its user, allowing the user to remain outside the immediate battlefield. For example, if a fight takes place inside a building, the user could stay several floors above or below the combat zone, or even inside a neighboring building.
However, its range is not limitless. Ooo La La La cannot operate across vast distances. Its effectiveness depends on maintaining a reasonable distance from its user, making it ideal for remote ambushes and concealed attacks.

Main Ability: 「6 Volt Car」
By biting an enemy Stand/Stand User with the mouths in its palms, Ooo La La La initiates a supernatural electroshock therapy that allows it to temporarily copy the target’s ability.
During absorption, both Stands experience the electrical discharge. Ooo La La La becomes completely immobilized for 3–5 seconds for simple abilities and 6–7 seconds for complex abilities. The target suffers no permanent electrical damage but remains stunned throughout the process and for a few additional seconds afterward.
Once absorption is complete, Ooo La La La can use the stolen ability for 6 minutes. During this time, its helmet remains active, emitting small electrical sparks.

Ability Manifestation
Intangible abilities: Powers such as time erasure, time stop, time reversal, magnetism, fire powers, or gravity manipulation can be used without significant physical changes to Ooo La La La.
Tangible abilities: Physical manifestations, such as Silver Chariot’s rapier or Emperor’s guns, emerge directly from the mouth in its palm, as if the Stand were vomiting them out before using them.

Ooo La La La copies the ability itself, but not necessarily the original user’s experience or mastery of it, so Ooo La La La / the stand user has to learn in the amount of time it possesses the ability.

Secondary Ability: Restraint Straps
The straps on its back and the belts around its legs serve as versatile mobility and restraint tools. They allow Ooo La La La to move rapidly across walls and ceilings, swing between surfaces, change direction, ambush opponents, silence and restrain targets before absorption.

Weaknesses
Ooo La La La can hold only one stolen ability at a time.
It must wait until the six-minute duration expires before absorbing another ability.
It cannot move or defend itself during absorption.
If absorption is interrupted, the process must restart from the beginning.
Coordinated groups can exploit its immobility and interrupt its ability.
Its physical strength and durability are moderate, making direct confrontations less favorable than ambushes.

The stand is a regular fighter stand, but it gets stronger according to the personal issues and social injustices attributed to the user, making it so each social cause or personal beef turns this stand exponentially stronger, theoretically to an infinite amount

However if anyone gets to apologyze for anything or something else that would ease the mental state of the user, the stand gets drastically weaker and much easier to defeat

And if the user gets to somehow betray their own standards the stand might become self-harming and attack its user

The stand is irremovable, and eventually the emotions will be all drained and the victim commits suicide

The stand is very similar to that old cartoon Xiaolin Duel, where two people are stuck in a variable game contest suited by what the stand user and victim are more likely to have a fair match

Each player or team use their own soul as credits and whoever loses gets their soul stolen

I assumedly based this idea on the D'arby brothers and tried to make something less star platinum-ish
