Title: Facebook Password Recovery Not Working – Need Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with my Facebook account.

I have two Facebook accounts linked to the same phone number: my main account, Aakash Yadav, which I use for uploading content, and another unused account called Ling Ji.

I've been using my main account for around a year, but I forgot my password and got logged out. Now I can't reset it, even though I have access to my email and one of my phone numbers.

Facebook sometimes sends me a reset code, but then says the code is incorrect. Sometimes, the password reset option doesn't appear at all. I also switched from my old Redmi phone to a new device.

When I search for my account using my phone number, it still appears, but I can't recover it.

Could having two accounts linked to the same number or switching devices be causing this? Should I delete the unused account, or is there another way to recover my main account?

Facebook page permanently suspended - need help to recover

I'm based in South Africa and desperately need some practical advice.

My Facebook account was hacked and subsequently locked by Meta on 27 September 2026.

I've tried every official recovery method I can find:

• Email verification works, but sends me back to video-selfie verification.
• Mobile number verification does exactly the same.
• Video-selfie verification fails repeatedly.
• Facebook never offers the option to upload my government-issued ID, even though I have a valid South African Smart ID.
• I cannot access Meta Business Support because I'm locked out.
• My Instagram account is also inaccessible.

The biggest problem is that I run a digital marketing business and I'm the sole administrator of several Facebook business Pages, including Interon. My business Page is still publicly visible, but I cannot post, advertise or manage it.

I've previously paid Meta for advertising using both personal and business cards, so I have payment history to support my ownership claim.

Has anyone actually recovered an account under these circumstances in 2026, particularly in South Africa?

I'm specifically looking for:

1. A genuine way to submit government ID instead of another video selfie.
2. A legitimate way to reach a human Meta support agent without access to my account.
3. Any successful business Page administrator recovery method.

Please share actual experiences and working official procedures. No paid recovery services or private messages offering to hack or unlock my account.

Any practical assistance would be appreciated.

I have been thinking about how much time people who use Facebook for business spend doing repetitive tasks.

Checking messages.

Answering the same questions.

Following up with someone who showed interest.

Trying to remember who you already replied to.

And making sure a conversation does not disappear simply because you were away from Facebook for a few hours.

AI is starting to move into this part of Facebook too, and I am curious where people here draw the line.

For example, imagine an AI assistant that could:

• Reply when someone messages you
• Handle common questions
• Keep a conversation moving while you are offline
• Recognize when someone seems interested
• Help with follow-up
• Keep some of the repetitive Facebook activity running in the background

I can see the appeal for someone using Facebook for a small business, coaching, affiliate marketing, or generating leads.

But I also think there is a point where automation could make conversations feel fake if too much is handed over to AI.

Personally, I think I would want AI handling the repetitive parts while keeping the important conversations human.

Curious what everyone else thinks.

Would you let AI handle some of your Facebook conversations, or is Messenger something you would always want to manage yourself?

For some reason my feed is messed up. I live in a European country where we have an extra option to set our feed to 'following' or 'for you'. But for some reason it no longer works. I either see posts from people or pages I don't follow or see very old posts from people and pages Indo follow. And if I want to report a problem the page briefly opens and then I return to the previous page. Anyone else has this problem?

I talk to my family on messenger and a week or so ago my sisters messenger dm hasn't let me message and says "this person is not available on messenger". I know I'm not blocked because I asked her, and she was still actively messaging me even as it said it.

I can still dm other people and message in a group chat with her so I don't understand whats wrong? Is there anyway to fix this?

Unfortunately I got hacked and they got my Facebook and Instagram accounts. I don't know where to start to get them back as every recovery method is not working. Somehow they changed my email and I never got an email to deny the change.

I am attempting to do the video selfie verification but when I click continue in the Facebook app nothing happens.

Often on FB Dating when you send a message with your like, the profile immediately reappears in the stack. If it's your Spotlights, and you went through the 5 that were in there for the day, it will initially show you the screen that you went through them all, and then immediately show the timer above the Spotlight button once again, signifying there is a profile there, and it'll be that one. Or if it's a profile recommended to you by the AI and this happens, it doesn't give you the message "You liked so and so." If it's the regular stack, they just reappear immediately after sending or within the next couple of profiles. You have to send ONLY a like, nothing else. Otherwise, the like doesn't send for whatever reason. Or does it?

Has anyone ever been on the receiving end of this, or matched with someone they had this bug happen with? If I rewrite the message multiple times trying to get it to go through, and then give up and send just the like, will the other person see multiple messages from me in the chat? Or will it be totally blank?

This is very frustrating, because as a guy, simply sending a like is usually not enough to get a girl's attention. She's probably getting her inbox flooded with likes and messages, so my single like is either going to get looked over, or passed on for being seen as "low effort." It's really draining to spend time crafting a good opening message just for it to fail and have to rewrite it or give up and pray that the like is enough (it never has been).

My Facebook account has been permanently disabled as I apparently broke guidelines?
A friend logged in from my phone as she had lost her phone, she wanted to let her husband know, and when I tried to log back in to my own, it kicked my out. I tried to appeal it but as I was midway through the face verification it told me that my appeal was final and that I could not appeal, my account is gone.

I have had this account for 15 years, I’ve never done anything wrong on it, I would really like my account back. Is this possible?

Long story short I had an Instagram account get banned for soc in June which took out my Facebook. I created a new Facebook the next day and it’s been fine, I figured I’d never go back to Instagram anyways. But I got a notice today that my account will become a meta account soon. will my new current Facebook be affected because I have previously banned accounts on my device?

Despite all settings being correct, I am not receiving notifications when I comment on a page or a group and someone replies to me or reacts to the comment. Anyone else? I have tried turning push on/off, reinstalling app, restarting phone, iPhone settings are correct…

Someone I went to school with sent me a friend request. I accepted but had no interaction with her then 2 days later she unfriended me. I think she was just nosy and wanted to see my profile and then leave. It made me feel kind of disgusted. Like someone knocking on your door, pretending to be friendly but they really just want to see what kind of house you live in, and then leave.

Intermittently I'm getting an issue where I am unable to see what I am typing because my keyboard is hiding the area where the comment appears. It doesn't happen on every post or every day. I googled it and I know that it's been going on for a while. I tried the suggested fixes but nothing worked. One suggestion was to start typing, submit it and then edit it and the comment field won't be obscured. When I press edit it does nothing and I don't have the ability to do anything but delete what I've submitted.

Another issue is I will tap on the comments tab under a post and instead of opening up all the comments it opens up the next thing on my feed. If I try to go back I lose that post to the ether and my feed reloads with new content. Also sometimes when I open the comments for one post, the audio from the next post or ad will start playing and there's no way to turn it off.

Has anyone else had these issues? Should I uninstall the app and reinstall? Not sure it would make any difference. This is on a Samsung Galaxy S9 FE tab. Thanks.

Hi all, anyone have experience with this? I barely even use FB but made a profile to stay connected with some older family members.

Recently found a fake profile of me, and its got personal details of mine like full name, DOB, town, etc which I usually keep off any online accounts. I and several other people have submitted reports saying its impersonating, but the profiles still up after a week. It's also trying to friend/follow pretty much everyone I know which is annoying.

Would getting Meta Verified to talk to a real person help in getting it taken down?

I have been unable to login to Facebook on my laptop for over two months. It started with this message on the login screen

The "Get Started" prompt leads to a screen with grayed-out fields. As of now, I can only access one of my accounts, and only with my tablet. Apparently, this is a long-standing problem for a lot of people and Facebook security is of absolutely no help. Anyone know of a fix?

basically what the title says. someone texted me letting me know that a facebook post i made (2 weeks ago at that) showed up on their instagram feed today and I don’t want facebook doing that???
