Hello! I am looking for a hairstylist in Evansville, Newburgh, or surrounding areas. For reference, I am a woman with long hair. I would like for them to be great at cuts/new styles and great at brunette hair! I have been looking at salon pages and stylist pages and it seems everyone has the same haircut and blonde hair - literally the exact opposite of me :( I realize that these places and people can most likely do what I need, but seeing a page full of only blonde pictures makes me feel like I should probably look elsewhere. I hope that makes sense.

Ideally this person would be easy to chat with and talented at their craft. I am needing help with a cut and color, and this person would be able to tell me that a certain cut might not look good on me or that a certain color might wash me out. I am not asking for perfection or magic, but after a few bad experiences, I’m hesitant to start over with a new stylist.

105 N Main St., downtown Henderson. Really cool record shop with killer bargain bins. Wanted to plug this store because most people in Evansville may not know it exists. The owner Matt’s parents owned it as a music venue for decades. Matt rebranded it as “Shop at Ice Cream” as a record store. Sort of a confusing naming scheme as both google business profiles still exist. Check ‘em out. Historic area is nice for walking around by the river - a modern espresso bar called ANTLER is up the street as well.

Hey yall! I am a new cigarillo smoker, we used to have a shop called “cigar! Cigar!” And a few other tobacco places in Evansville before they shut down. I have been buying cigarillos from local vape shops. But all their cigarillo’s are just two packs. Two whole cigarillos aren’t gunna do it for me. Is Lynch Rd in Evansville named after David Lynch? And if so, why?

I haven’t worked in a few years (I’ve been staying home with my kids), and I’m having a hard time getting my foot in the door somewhere. Maybe I’m being too picky, but I would really prefer to work at a locally owned restaurant or bar. I am available any evening for 3ish nights a week. Anyone have any leads on somewhere that’s hiring?

This is a genuine question, I'm not trying to be a smart-ass. Is there a reason that every fast food restaurant seems to make their customers pull forward and wait to receive their order? I remember restaurants used to be able to make the food quickly enough that you really didn't have to wait more than a couple minutes. Does anyone else experience this type of drive-thru service? I don't believe I'm exaggerating when I say 90% of the time I asked to pull forward, and I'm not ordering a large amount of food or special ordering anything?

It's even crazier that this happens now that apps are common place. The restaurant has the order in advance, it's paid for, there is GPS and map data available, and you still have to wait for the food? It's just really confusing so I was hoping to get the perspective from someone who works in fast food. The only restaurant that seems to have attempted to reward their app users with faster service is Chik-fil-a's express line. Cheers!

My partner is looking for places in Evansville to perform her own original music. I knew way back in the day that there were places that offered this, but I am totally clueless today. If anyone knows if there are places that still do this, please let me know. She will performing with acoustic guitar and singing. She has performed with a cover band for many years.
