France is better alone, Germany did everything to fxck France developement. Last week, German f;ckeds the project of next generation chars.

France got everything to do some very good stuff. And Germany must be monitored. Everytime they want to build an army, we have seen what happened...

Which country wanted to ban nuclear energy because that was a strong point for France ? :)

Which country has borrowing costs of 4.9% and climbing (higher than both Italy & Greece), a 119% debt-to-GDP ratio (111% net debt-to-GDP), and a deficit of 5.1% with no politically palatable solution of on how to lower it. All while already having the highest taxes in the EU.

Like seriously, France’s financial state going forward is absolutely dire already, and it will only get worse after they (stupidly) elect Marie Le Pen & RN next year.

So no, going forward alone is an extremely foolish idea for the French.

And what money is France going to build this 6th gen fighter with exactly? France can’t afford the next 20 years with its current budget, let alone adding a sole developed multi-hundred billion dollar fighter.

Who said it will cost 100B? It will not.

It's very funny that you think that the world #7 economy cannot afford a simple fighter jet program when the Paris metro expansion is already costing 40B€ and yet it's been paid for.

You make no sense.

All you’ve done is demonstrate you don’t understand how complicated & cost intensive building a 6th gen fighter is. The R&D costs alone are astronomical.

Why do you think only the U.S. & China have fielded true 5th Gen fighters? We’re taking about the literal pinnacle of technology here (stuff that doesn’t even exist today), there is absolutely nothing “simple” about 6th gen fighters whatsoever.

Also, if France is doing fine economically why is the French deficit 5.1% and only expected to grow in 2027?

No it’s not.
We aren’t the US, we don’t pay our engineers crazy wages.
Our current financial situation is not due to overspending in infrastructure or programs like this, it’s due to the pension system.
Probably a very small pourcentage of that money could go to the new plane - if there a political will.

France kills projects because it wants equal cost sharing but 80% of the manufacturing.
