We need to clarify how the no-sales rule applies here.
r/Euphorbiaceae is a hobbyist subreddit, not an advertising feed for nurseries, sellers, importers, exporters, or resellers. Direct sales posts have never been allowed, but going forward we are also treating repeated commercial “showcase” posts as promotion when the account is clearly tied to a seller or nursery.
That includes posts that do not include a direct sales link.
If an account is posting nursery stock, inventory-style photos, availability bait, or repeated plant showcases while linking to a shop, WhatsApp, Instagram, website, seller profile, or other sales channel elsewhere, that is still commercial promotion. The post itself does not need to say “for sale” for it to function as advertising.
This is not about whether the plants are nice, whether a seller is legitimate, or whether someone has had a good buying experience. It is about keeping the subreddit from becoming a visibility funnel for commercial accounts and making sure normal hobbyist posts are not drowned out.
Hobbyist posts are welcome. Collection photos are welcome. Growing questions, IDs, flowers, seed-grown plants, habitat/conservation discussion, and normal personal plant posts are welcome.
Commercial use of the subreddit is not.
We’ll be removing posts that fall into this pattern and may restrict or ban accounts that continue using the subreddit this way.

Hey guys, I went into B&Q just to buy compost for my garden but came across half off Euphorbias that were in the MOST hydrophobic soil I've ever seen so I thought I'd get one and rescue it from near death. I got this one and brought her home. I didn't have pumice or sand but made a mix of coir, perlite and coco bark - is this okay for now til I get my hands on some sand and pumice? She just really needed out of the soil she was in (I hit it with a tin can and it sounded like literal rock).
Also anyone able to help me ID her?
Thank you for your help in advance! And I hope she thrives and does not die 😭🫶

What would you do with this guy? Thinking about chopping and rooting this year's growth vs letting it continue as is and hoping the stem thickens up eventually.

I have just got this Euphorbia from a cactus nursery, the owner said she got a bunch of these plants but is not sure what they are. Can anyone help me ID it please? It may be still too young to understand what genus and species it is but can anyone have a guess? I got a few different answers from plant apps,.I am curious to know what you think it is.
Thank you 🙏🏻

I got this bundled with another cactus for $25 after finding it in an international market. Hopefully it'll bounce back into a ball soon but I'm not sure how to take care of it well. I repotted it and everything, but it was a good find I think! Might go and grab the second one on sale just because it's cute

Could they be cut and rooted once they get bigger? This thing has more pups every time I look at it and it's about to flower again even tho night temps are almost freezing

I got it as an Obesa but can anyone tell if it’s actually a hybrid?

I'm getting pretty confused as to what these 6 euphorbia in the front are are exactly since there's a bunch of spiny species that are easy to confuse.
E. obesa and E. meloformis falsa "infausta" in the background.

I don't know the botanical name for this, I think it's an African Milk plant. I'm in. Massachusetts and have moved this in and out with the seasons for years. About a year ago it started getting these black patches. At first I thought it was typical aging and perhaps getting too much sun before being hardened so I wasn't overly concerned. But now things have gotten worse. Some branches go dark at the base and spread towards the tip. And now I've seen a few areas that turn brown and expand. I removed the one stem that was completely dead at the bottom. I've done some amateurish research. Possibilities range from too much water, which is possible because I leave it out during rain storms. It may be not enough water because we've had long stretches of no rain. I do leave it in the full all day sun which it has tolerated quite well in past years. Another possibility is a fungal infection. My thought is to remove, do some root care, repot in a good medium, and give it a good fungal treatment. Is this a reasonable idea? I'm open to good suggestions.

I’m thinking about purchasing this euphorbia but I noticed it has the reddish colour at the base in the photos. Do you guys think this is just some discolouration or do you think it’s something more serious?
I know it’s technically not a cactus, but I was already in this group so hopefully yalls can help me!!

I love these guys. They bring me so much joy. “Rescued” from wet moss covered soil at Home Despot. They have grown and thrived since being repotted.

Is this normal?

Both plants looked eactly the same when we left and now one is completely dead. Shocked this happened in such a short amount of time. Has anyone seen this before? How can I make sure I save the second one?
