Hello, I am requesting that this photo of my mom be restored. Preferably no AI. $5 tip
I know it's difficult to tell what her teeth looked like, but I think one of her front teeth is missing/growing in. They don't need to be perfect please try not to give her really messed up grill 😅
ETA: Thank you all for trying. I had this request fulfilled by someone else.
Hi, I’m offering $70 to the best edit. Please center me in the picture, make the screen on the top left showing Andrea Bocelli significantly larger while keeping it proportional, and remove the woman standing next to me. Please use my face from the photo where I look serious and put it in the photo where I’m smiling. Also, make the left side of my jaw as wide as the right. The shirt is loose and throws off my proportions, so please make it look more fitted, whiter and increase slightly the size of my arms, shoulders and chest. I should be standing alone in the center of the photo. I’ll share the link of the full resolution of both photos in the comments
I would like the color resoted in this picture, I believe the shirt and pants are a light blue. There are several bad spots (looks like thumbtack holes) that I need cleaned up and I would like it upscaled (to 4k) for printing, no crop is needed.
EDIT: I have seen some nice work in a very short time but a few people reached out requesting a better photo of the face to reference. I need to check with the family to see if they have something and will update this post if/when I get one.
EDIT2: https://i.imgur.com/x6ZakcQ.jpeg Here is another photo of the face for reference. You'll notice that there is no facial hair but there are long sideburns down past the ear.
I took this in 1978, somewhere in the Mediterranean, the weather was really bad and we were trying to do maintenance in Asroc Control, I had one of those little small cameras in my pocket and took this picture of a wave about to slam into us through a little viewing window. The sea was not that beautiful blue that fair weather sailors see, it was and the gray clouds, nasty green waves and the gray of our ship and we were about to be hit and the window was awash with droplets and runoff from the previous wave. Join the Navy and see the world, or at least the ocean parts, good or bad. Any restorers out there want a real challenge?
Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me with a special birthday gift for my husband.
I'm trying to restore a screenshot from the famous 2010 Kobe Bryant/Matt Barnes "no flinch" moment. My husband is a lifelong Lakers fan, Kobe is his all-time favorite player, and this particular moment is one he's shown me himself. I'd love to have the finished digital image in time to get it printed and framed for his 50th birthday on October 20, so ideally I'd need the file by Sunday, October 18!
Unfortunately, the screenshot comes from older broadcast footage, so the image is pretty soft. I've tried some basic sharpening and black-and-white conversion, but I'm hoping someone with professional restoration experience might be able to improve it further.
My biggest request is that Kobe's actual facial features remain unchanged. I've already tried AI enhancement, and it kept subtly changing his face. I'm looking for someone who can improve the original image through careful sharpening, deblurring, noise reduction, and other techniques without reconstructing or replacing his features.
One artistic detail I'd love, if it's possible without changing the original scene, is to emphasize Kobe's stillness while preserving the natural motion blur in Barnes's arm and fingers. I've seen that effect in some AI artwork, but authenticity is much more important to me than recreating it. :)
Ideally, I'd love to print it at 11×14 if that's realistically possible, but 8×10 is good, too. I understand there are limits to what can be recovered from the original footage. I saw some of the AI images in black/white that I thought would look amazing, but if sticking with color for this is best, I'm open to suggestion. Having both a color version and a black/white version to compare side by side would be ideal!
I'm happy to pay someone for their time and expertise. Before commissioning anything, I'd love an honest assessment of whether a good-quality print is achievable.
Budget and payment: I'm thinking around $20–$30 for a successful restoration, but I'm willing to consider up to $40–$50 if the results justify the additional work. I'm happy to pay fairly for someone's time and expertise.
For everyone's protection, I'd prefer that interested editors comment publicly on this post before contacting me privately. I'd like to see a watermarked preview before choosing someone, and I'd prefer to pay through PayPal Goods & Services or another payment method with buyer protection, provided that complies with the subreddit rules.
Final image requirements: Ideally, I'd love a print-ready portrait image suitable for 11×14 inches, but only if the original footage can support a decent-looking print. I understand that enlarging an image to 3,300 × 4,200 pixels doesn't necessarily improve its quality. If 8×10—or even something smaller—would look substantially better, I'd appreciate your honest recommendation.
I'd also appreciate both a color and black-and-white version, if possible, so I can compare them before choosing which to frame.
Thank you so much for any help or recommendations!
Unfortunately my grandmother passed away on the weekend. We’d like to use this photo of my grandmother and -father for the funeral. This was taken during Easter 1954. We would be immensely grateful if someone could restore it. Lots of thanks already.
I would really appreciate it if somebody can fix the color in my niece's senior picture it's starting to fade she has blue eyes and sandy/ dirty blonde hair. You guys do such great work 😀👍🏼❤️ thank you ahead of time
Hi there, is anyone able to restore this photo at all and make less blurry? I took a selfie with Robert Pattinson during the BFI Primetime premiere yesterday and accidentally used nightime mode that caused a terrible motion blur. I understand that there may not be possible to do much with the photo itself. I uploaded the photo that I was taking from a different angle, his photos from the day and my selfies as well if it can be reconstructed using these at all. I tried myself with AI and uploaded this if it helps anything at all, but it doesn’t look very real. Appreciate any attempts to make this better!
