OpenCDi: A new, open-source Philips CD-i emulator written in Rust with DVC (MPEG-1) support
Hi everyone!
I’d like to share **OpenCDi**, an open-source Philips CD-i emulator written in Rust:
https://github.com/sigsantilio/opencdi
### Current Features:
- **CPU:** Philips SCC68070 (68000/68010 instructions, internal timers, UART & DMA).
- **Video:** Philips MCD-212 (Plane A & B, Run-Length, CLUT, DYUV, ICA/DCA instruction lists).
- **Audio & Disc:** CDIC controller with CD-DA and ADPCM decoding, CHD and raw sector support.
- **DVC / FMV:** Digital Video Cartridge (MPEG-1) emulation with hardware demuxer, audio/video synchronization and MCD-212 compositing.
The project is completely open source under the MIT License. Contributions, compatibility testing, and hardware insights from the community are warmly welcome!

After all the years I've spent working on this console's preservation buying all the discs remaining from Spain for Redump.info all I can say is...

Existe planos para uma versão Android, do Emulador? Seria ótimo, pois tal não existe no sistema.

Probably in the future, now it's still too soon

I would like that, but it's still too soon. I want to focus on cracking the DVC properly and then move on other platforms

This is just my option but I think getting the base graphics and sound working better would be a higher priority. For example fixing compatibility with Children's Musical Theatre as it is just playing animations with music and getting it working there should improve compatibility across the board.

So I tried it and for a new emulator it does work fairly well. I only got it to work with mouse (and keyboard emulating a pad) cause the language barrier hindered me from figuring out how to get it to work with a gamepad. MAME is still far ahead especially if you go with the MAME pre-release that also emulated the Digital Video Cartridge yet again for a new emulator it is a solid start.
I do question why in the terminal it is erroring on no CD when you have yet to load one up yet. It is something the emulator can assume is not an error as the user has yet to mount an image.
