Hey All - this is Steve Holmes (I play guitar in American Football) and Part 2 of my substack on the early years of American Football is out now. Includes some never before seen photos of recording LP1 and other stuff of interest to people that like that first record.

Anybody know any more details? This was on their insta story

Here are two download codes for "Everything Dies." I haven't used them, but maybe they still work.

Of course 'beautiful' is a subjective term, hence the quotations. So use your own definition. But for me, it's:

Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning

Copeland - Ixora

We're really into sweet pill, vasudeva, and Saturdays at your place and draw a lot of influence from those types of bands so if you like them maybe you'll like us!

“You try to get dressed and you put your shoes on.
Let’s get to the car let’s make this right
The drive is short but it sure feels long
That’s just how it is when you’re leaving home
This isn’t the end of your life
It’s more like a pause and soon there’s a start
You’ll be back on your feet again in no time
If you’re not with me then hell I’m not fine

I tried convincing god to change you
We had it out and he said no
He said a choice is a choice and he says you made it
He'd help you along but God why is nothing free?
You filled me up with hope God I've used it
I've used it all on you can't you see it?
There comes a time when you choose for another
So I'm making this choice for the three that we've made
You and me
Don’t let me go.”

Hi all,

Looking to start a band in Dublin. I'm 36, guitarist and singer, and am looking for another guitarist (or two!), a bassist and a drummer.

Bands I'm into are:
Real Friends
The Story So Far
Arm's Length
Trash Boat
as well as the classic older stuff: Motion City Soundtrack, Fall Out Boy, etc etc.

If I could sum up the sound I'm looking for in a song, it would be: https://open.spotify.com/track/28BW0WwfqqNFOnBnt2aR0l?si=cc2b7e8780c74e4f

DM me if you're interested!

Thanks :)
