Elektra watercolor painting

I drew with my good ol .3mm mencil (mechanical pencil) and then chiseled out the basic shape around the admittedly large hips. I've always drawn big hips naturally…then I added scratchy lines with a hunt 102, then a bit of ink splatter…after I let everything dry, I busted out my Windsor and Newton watercolor set, and using a flat brush laid down the colors…whatcha All think?

Elodie is teasing us Elektra fans. I guess she posted this on her insta story to show that she's back in New York to film the reshoots. I hope she's there for New York Comic Con as well.

What do you make of this story post?

By me

Any fans of this book? I just got it and haven't read it yet. However, I've heard some pretty high acclaim and the art looks stellar. Plus, as an Elektra fan I wanna read anything on her that I can!

I don’t know why but this action figure is super expensive here in my country.

Already posted my Wilson Bethel one, but in general just wanted to show somewhere else the rest. I naturally have curly hair, ironically the previous week had some of my best hair days but it wasn't fully working that day despite trying to give it some volume. Naturally do very pop girl makeup normally, but did something different for it with a more natural fiercer look between the eyeliner and contour. Also the black work non-slips were a creative liberty to say the least lol. Had some red boots with it but recently moved places and must have lost them somewhere along the way since I couldn't find them, I did have some red socks though trust me walking around the area definitely needed the shoes after a minute. In general while out of my comfort zone, had fun.

Was waiting for the digital copy to post, but never got it. Still am very happy just to have the physical, even if I don't fully like how I look, just love and am grateful for the memory and the experience. Thought I had leaned a bit more like the comic than I was (originally had my hair all the way down as well, but he suggested we take another where I could see my face) but still he was a big fan of the pose and glad I asked if I could. He was very nice and cool. Actually had an embarrassing moment where I was starstruck and he leaned in with his arm and thought he was going for a hug so I went for it, but he was trying to lead me to where the camera was for the pose omg, but he was super cool about it and gave it back, still omg surprised my face wasn't as red as my outfit in the photo lol. In general had a lot of fun at the con.

I know it doesn't have that hoop, but since its arms weren't long enough in the picture,I decided to pay homage to his daggers by placing a ring in their shape on it.

One of the strongest & most badass super hero/heroine designs ever imo.

The costume, the white eyes, her hair, the baggy pants & scarf, the lipstick, the Twin Sai weapons & martial arts aesthetic all look amazing together. I also think that the wrinkles near her eyes is a super underrated design for female masks that makes her look intimidating.
