Apagones
Hi all,
when do you expect apagones to start and how long do you guys guess they will last every day?
I heard late october, starting with 2-3 hours and possibly in november up to 8 hours if things don't go well.

The rain is not happening where the reservoirs are.

its a excuse ... you can gooogle it abrik 2024 eluniverso ( a local newspaper) they emptied rhe reservoirs then came the electric crisisey used it to sighn convenient contracts

That article is irrelevant as that happened long before the drought which was late in 2024. The current situation is not an “excuse” and is definitely developing because of the drought in the sierras.

irrelevant? or you want to hide it? 2024 2025 2026 we been living energy cuts and spending money on hir8ng power generation ships ... BS BRO ... energy generation comes from rivers not lakes rain dont have to only fall on the press , rivers grow ... they are mdfking excuses
what draught its been raining in both regions WTF...

Mid-October, starting with small outages and escalating to 10-14 hours per day. It will be at least as bad as 2024 if not worse.

“CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL RECOMMENDS STARTING TWO-HOUR GENERAL BLACKOUTS BEFORE CRITICAL WATER RESERVOIR LEVEL
The Engineering and Economics Advisory Council suggested to the Government to apply two-hour scheduled power outages at a general level during the early morning hours, as a preventive measure in the face of the continuous decline in water reserves in the Mazar reservoir.
Despite the restrictions imposed on the industrial sector to slow down electricity consumption, the dam fell on October 2 to 2,131 meters above sea level, placing it just 16 meters from its critical operating level. Experts in the area warned that from this point on, the water level decreases at a greater rate due to the geometry of the reservoir, in addition to the reduction in the flow of rivers that feed both Mazar and the Coca Codo Sinclair hydroelectric plant.
From the engineers' guild, they pointed out that the early application of two-hour nightly blackouts would aim to avoid more severe and prolonged interruptions in the national electricity supply in the coming months.

They're probably starting around October 21st, the main issue is probably that we depend a lot on the Complejo Paute Integral and the water reserve is dropping about 1mt everyday and not refilling, yesterday it reported to be at 2130,63 m.a.s.l. and the critical minimum for it to operate is 2115 m.a.s.l.
