So I pre-ordered the game and played the 10 hr trial and play pretty much drop in threes or eliminator quite a bit too, without any lagging or issues or anything rediculous happening. I'm not in a club, I would actually like to try that one day but I don't play enough and can't commit to play times etc... Anyway, my question is, has anyone else had issues where you are playing just fine, no lagging or anything rediculous, and no internet issues at home, and (my console is plugged into the modem instead of WiFi), but randomly my game will spontaneously quit and go straight to the Xbox dashboard. This has only started in the last 8 or 10 days?

No notice, no issues at all, just kicked straight to the Xbox home screen!

I'm on series x and don't have any issues with any other games, I just find it crazy and a tad frustrating that it happens when winning or loosing or playing well, it doesn't matter.

Last night happened while up 4-0 during eliminator in the finals haha!!

Is this just bad luck or can I look into something that might be helpful?? Cheers everyone 🍻🤟

My friend and I recently got NHL ‘27 after at least a 3-4 year hiatus. We were never the best, but we could at least compete with just about any team we faced.

Fast forward to now and WOW… we are ASS. I’m too embarrassed to say what our record is, but we only have ONE legitimate win so far. The majority of our losses are blowouts too. Very rarely does it feel like we’re playing teams that should be in our division.

After the long break and just diving straight into EASHL (we both used to dabble with HUT and VS. beforehand), I would expect there to be some rust. But man, it’s like we just can’t get anything going.

I’m on the verge of full-blown buyers remorse, but for now I still do enjoy playing even though we mostly get slaughtered.

Before I reach that point, I need to know - is there just something we’re missing?? A magic switch to flip that’ll at least make us competitive? Or has it really just been that long that my friend and I are just completely washed now?

One of the driving factors for buying was that I’d seen that the backwards skating meta was no longer going to be a thing. That’s been true, nobody does that now (great!). But as always, a new meta emerges. This year it’s not insane speed and cherry-picking, but rather it just seems like everyone can hit a simple right-left deke and put the puck in the net every time. But when we try to do it? It’s easily defended each time…

As two late-twenties, fully employed dudes who just want to enjoy some Chel, what can we do?

First off I'll start by making it clear NHL 27 is trash my opinion.

Snipes

The snipes need to return punish the human goalies for sitting too deep and being out of position when you snipe it makes it more rewarding for a good shot and the one timers and good snipes should also punish the cpu goalies too. Ea also needs to fix the fact the goalies get animations for saves when they are on the other side of net actually punish or reward the goalie for being in or out of position make it actually matter again.

Also this is someone who actually plays goalie saying this too.

Looking for an active club. Pretty active lately I’m like P1 20 with 500 goals plat 1 but I’m a W who recognizes when to drop back and either cover the point when the D man has an opportunity or back skate helping the D man out seeing a breakout happen. Pass a lot and set-up plays like it’s my job. I’ll be on this evening and all weekend as I broke my leg and nothing else to do

I can’t believe it’s been 5 years and most of the bugs and glitches are untouched. After every EASHL game one of us keep getting loadout glitched so we can’t ready up unless we all close app, if one of us fail to close it the entire locker room will be bugged getting an error code of “Game invite failed” or when you finally find a game the lobby crashes saying “unable to advance”. It’s getting very tedious waiting 30 min in between games.

Thankfully I didn’t spend money on this game but there’s some loyal paying customers who expect a playable product, but it seems like they out every resource in HUT and leave everything else the exact same.

this toxic behaviour often leads to people getting in there own head which often times lead to the mistakes compounding.

very rarely have i played in a game where opponent’s being overly negative, has resulted in the perpetrator playing better.

Everyone in this game makes mistakes multiple times per game and i find the best way to stop them is to not highlight it aggressively and keep the vibes up in the party.

i have definitely been the one spouting the negative comments in the past, and the receiving the negative reinforcement from a teammate, but i have seen the results from those actions and try to avoid doing it now.

I’m a d-man who plays either side looking for a competitive 5s or 6s club. I run a club with some of my buddies that wins about 80%, but looking for a more competitive group as that group seems to be at their cap. I’ve been playing with a top 10 team a couple times a week, I haven’t lost with them. I’m central, I ping well enough anywhere and it hasn’t mattered much this year as I’ve been playing a pretty defensive game anyhow. I’m about a +250 in 200 games played across a couple accounts, that includes about half my games played being drop in 3s when nobody is around. Feel free to msg me if interested.

Playing 6's tonight with my div 8 club... We play one game and win 4-2, pretty fair game and close in skill. Matched up in our next game against all diamond players and we lose like 7-0. You'd think getting beat that bad you'd get matched up against an easier opponent.. nope, another 7-0 game. After the third game of the same thing in a row we quit in the second period.

This game is unplayable and I want my money back.

Drop in defenceman, “Shea-Weber6Mtl” decided he wasn’t getting enough attention in a 8-2 win so he pulled the goalie and took penalties to lose our club game 10-9 in OT. Also used a different psn (jumbo-witness09) to message after. Block this loser and save yourself the headache.

Tonight, I went to play 3v3 Clubs after not playing for a couple days. In the first game, it changed my name to Jordan NHL and removed my customization. Fine. I’ve seen that before.
In the 2nd game, I was still a Defenceman, and it corrected my name and customization. But when it found a match up, it turned me into a goalie and changed my name to Jordan NHL again.

Title says it all. Tonight my club and I played against three players who did not have a rating below 37,000. We are gold one. We lost 6-0.

But thats not the moral of the story. The fact that they all had the purchasble build is what speaks volumes. These kids are obviously good, not taking their skill away from them. However, when you give players a purchasing skill advantage when they dont need it, makes the game that less enjoyable.

Ive been playing NHL since the early 2000s. This may be my last.
