Does anyone have any fic recs similar to Lucid by dracoladon?? It’s one of my favorites, their dynamic is just so good and I feel it’s really accurate to their characters. The smut is also incredible but I really enjoy their chemistry and the little background details dracoladon gives us. Its auror Harry and academic Draco, which I feel suits them so well. hii! does anyone have any recs where draco obliviates himself or gets obliviated and forgets all memories of harry and other people too? i do NOT want fics where theyre already in an established relationship, i dont want them to be together yet and i also want harry to desperately try to get him to remember again!

My problem is that I really can‘t get into anything that seems unrealistic. As an example I started reading „It was all just a game“ since it‘s recommended a lot and I loved it but then came the part where it‘s said that the wizarding world is completely okay with gay people which is something that just turns me off so much I don‘t wanna continue reading (it‘s the 90s duh)

Same thing for eighth year fics where they suddenly all get along with the former slytherins and play party games. Or Harry and Draco get along perfectly after two conversations or especially Harry‘s circle not caring at all about Drarry happening and supporting it, just stuff that seems sooo far fetched and weird.

I‘m looking for something dark ans realistic given the canon circumstances.

Pleease help me out, era doesn‘t matter, just yearning for authentic queer representation given the time its set in and authentic development of their connection given they hate each other and are on opposing sides of a literal war.

I read this fic a good while ago and the only thing I'm sure about is that Harry and Draco find and read secret love letters between Sirius and Remus. I think it was an 8th year fic and they found them in the library. I think the letters were from the Marauders era, and I think it was a fairly short fic.

So I read this fic long ago, please help me find it. But it is one where Draco is apparated along with Harry to Bill’s house. And they live there along with everyone. Draco can absorb dark magic, and so he absorbs Harry’s, but it slowly starts killing Draco. No one cares of course and by the time Bill finds out and tries to save Draco, as an adult, it is too late. Draco is redeemed slowly in the fic, Harry and Draco have to hurt each other for Draco to absorb his dark magic? something of that sort.

SPOILER: Draco dies right outside Bill's house. Watches as Harry and others try to revive him? something of that sort.

Hi! A while ago I read a fic. I didn't finish it, but now I'm curious and I want to read it again.

What I remember is that Draco and Harry discover they were magically bonded, or there was a magical marriage contract or something like that. Draco tried to be good to Harry, but Harry didn't want him. He continued with his life ignoring the bond, while Draco loved him.

Then, Draco gifted all his magic to Harry and died. After that, Harry discovered that Dumbledore was manipulating him, that Ron and Hermione weren't his true friends and that Ginny was also manipulating him. (It is heavy on the bashing of all these characters, especially bashing Dumbledore, Ginny and Molly). When Harry realized that Draco loved him and died, he travelled back in time to save him. I think Draco remembered their first lives, but he didn't know Harry remembered too. Harry pretended to not be a time traveler, and he pursued Draco against Dumbledore's and the Weasleys' plans.

I think it is Dark Harry, but I'm not sure.

I would really love to find more fics which explore Draco and Harry’s childhood and upbringings. I think both had very difficult childhoods but in very different ways and I would love for them to come to some sort of mutual understanding about that.

I don’t really mind if it is quite dark or hard hitting.
I would love some interactions with Lucius and Narcissisa and the Dursleys as well.

Dracos upbringing in particular really interests me. I think a lot about the deleted scene in Chamber of Secrets where Lucius uses his cane to discipline Draco when he doesn’t do as he’s told. Additionally, later when Draco comes off his broom at quidditch, Lucius is not concerned? only disappointed or embarrassed by Draco. To me Lucius loves Draco transactionally. Draco looks up to his Father and sees him as powerful and admirable, always laughing at his jokes and following his every word. While Lucius seems to only ever belittle and chastise Draco. Even in scenes where Lucius is said to be concerned, it’s never explicitly shown. When Draco gets attacked by Buckbeak Hermione says Lucius is furious but to me it seems kind of curious that the response is just to get the creature killed rather than showing a reasonable amount of concern or care. Idk just something I’ve been thinking about. Likely amounts to why Draco is always so desperate for attention too.

H & D are fake dating, Draco’s ex is not a great person, Harry hates him because Harry has been pining for Draco and also the ex doesn’t treat Draco well I think. There’s this one scene I remember, they go to a pub or dinner (with friends), and there the ex also comes and sits on a different table. I think Harry or Draco forget their scarf, I forgot who, and they go back for it, and the ex either tries to talk to Draco or takes the scarf to return it to Draco again. Harry gets annoyed at that. My god this is so vague, I’m dying to remember more details, but I’m just not able to. It’s been a week since I’m trying to remember this fic. If anyone can remember a fake dating fic with Draco being mistreated (not violence type shit, just casually looked over and dismissed in public), with a scene involving a dinner/pub and a scarf, please let me know

I feel so emotional right now. I just finished reading Love on the Brain. It was one of the most beautifully written fic I ever had the pleasure to read. I felt so many emotions reading it, it's truly a fic I'll never forget. I can't recommend it enough. Potentially my new all time favorite bonding fic.

I know a post was made about this fic a few days ago already but it deserved another one!

I have been searching for ages trying to find this fic and I genuinely think it might be impossible. I literally remember nothing except that Draco comes to stay at Harry's house which was quite modern, and every morning he wakes up to find Harry in the home gym working out. I'm also not entirely sure but one of the last scenes could have been the two of them swimming in the pool in the garden, but I could be mixing different fics together. Sorry it's such a vague description but I can't remember any of the story at all and it is killing me not knowing what this fic is!

I was curious. I come across the comments about the fic quite a number of times in the sub and from the descriptions I know I will never be ready for that level of hurt. But I was curious and I thought summary should be fine to read. I was wrong. I feel lost after reading it, I feel lost, sad, like there’s me before reading the fic and there’s after. I feel unmoored, so affected that I can’t even typed the fic’s full title.

If you guys know any fics, long, short, basically a long epilogue after voldy gone. Maybe daily life, journey of oneself like heal thyself or meeting each other again like way down we go, where they live, love, happy and safe. As long as there as there’s no angst like in SATC.
