What should actually be in a dorm first-aid kit?

Dorm rooms have basically no storage, so I’m curious what people actually keep around for small emergencies. What do you genuinely use — bandages, antibiotic ointment, pain reliever, etc. — and what took up space but never got touched? Also, where do you keep it: nightstand, bathroom/makeup bag, backpack?

Full disclosure: I work on socials for a new small bandage brand, so I’m partly asking because I’m interested in what college students actually keep on hand. Not linking or selling anything here. Just curios!

Would it be unreasonable for me to ask my roommate to leave the dorm for 2 hours so I can call my boyfriend?

VERY VERY IMPORTANT CONTEXT

We have suite-style dorms so she can stay in the dorm, she would just be downstairs in the living room area instead of our shared room.

I just wanted to know if this would be a reasonable request. I want to call my boyfriend (and play pc games with him, hence why I cannot go into the common room instead) but I want some privacy and I also don't wanna annoy her.

I'm mostly wondering how you all would react if your roommate asked this of you in my circumstance. I personally wouldn't have a problem doing it (esp since I'd still be in my dorm, just not my room) but I'm also more easygoing with that kind of thing

Edit: I've already tried working around her schedule lol!!!! It didn't work out. I ended up asking her and she was fully alright with it. I also live here... Just like how I had to sacrifice comfort by having to loft my bed so she can have a good spot for her desk, she had to sacrifice comfort by being kicked out of the room for a couple hours. As long as one person isn't sacrificing significantly more than the other, in my opinion, it's fair.

Girlfriend and Big Ahh Boyfriend Having Trouble

Hello. My girlfriend and I are both first year college students, living dat TwinXL life. We have had a bit more free time as our show schedules cleared up, and she has been spending the night at my dorm on some recent weekends. (Attends different college, about an hour drive.)

Said girlfriend struggles with leg problems, and I struggle with restlessness and back problems. Both of us benefit from stability, and I am about a foot taller than her, and significantly bulkier.

Problem is sleeping together. My girlfriend says the bed is too soft, and that she sinks into me, having to use effort to keep us from falling off the bed that keeps her awake. I usually fall asleep quickly, and after a bit of shifting, I sleep like an anchor. Literally, unfortunately.

Also, she likes to use a heated blanket under her leg when she sleeps. I am fine with this, but am worried I could knock her off of it or move it around, as I am a restless sleeper (talking, punching, twisting, kicking, writhing)

Also, she sometimes accidentally wakes me up in the small hours of the morning, and doesn't wake up herself. This is annoying. Especially because due to the quick and often dreamless horribly silent nature of my sleep, I often fail to register time passing in the night. I sometimes wake her, believing only a few minutes into our sleep have passed, when it has actually been hours. This disturbs us both.

TLDR: Wonderful sex, bad sleep. Help big ahh boyfriend please.

Am I trying to micromanage?

I live in a dorm with 5 other girls and 1 of them is being kind of noisy at night. I'm talking loud phone calls, playing music, and vacuuming at 3 in the morning. I talked to her today asking her to be quieter, but I'm worried that her behavior isn't going to change, or that it will but then go right back to before. I have 8 am classes everyday and sleep has been hard with all the noise. I got earplugs that I hope will work and my other roommates haven't mentioned that they have an issue with the noise either. I'm looking for advice and hoping that I don't need to bring up specific problems that I have with her.

noisy floor - what do i do?

my room is very close to the open lounge on my floor, and every night, the people on my floor are loud way past quiet hours, making it difficult for my roommate and I to sleep. our quiet hours start at 11, and it’s not even like we’re complaining that they’re loud at 11…. it just really bothers us that they’ll be be loud at 1am, specifically on the weekdays (we don’t really care about noise levels on weekends) its not even like they’re trying to be quieter and just accidentally mess up here and there; they’ll be clapping, yelling, and cackling.

i am aware that this seems like an easy fix; either complain to the RA about it or buy ear plugs. we do plan on approaching our RA about this, but we’re not sure how to approach them about it because we’re afraid that if they somehow get in trouble for it, we’ll be ostracized by others on our floor. ear plugs are also not the best option for me because while i have a really difficult time waking up unless my alarm is basically directly blaring in my ear. it also doesn’t help that they fall out of my ears half of the time i try to use it.

i know this is asking for a lot, but if anyone has any tips or advice, that’d be greatly appreciated

new dorm room

i moved dorms today and can only find one outlet with two plug in spots behind my desk. it's a very old dorm, but so was my previous one- that one had an outlet behind my desk too and another near my bed

idk what to do, i have one power strip in currently but i'm worried it will look so cluttered if i plug in another

also, the landline jacks sticking out behind my desk means i can't even it properly

How early is too early to start laundry on the weekends?

I am a morning person, and like to do my laundry as early in the mornings as possible to get it done and out of the way. I've been playing it safe the last few weeks and doing my laundry in the early afternoon, but I genuinely hate waiting that long. I'm leaning towards about 7am to start my first load.

Quiet hours in my building start at 11pm Sunday-Thursday (when we have classes the next day), and 1am Friday and Saturday (technically Saturday and Sunday morning), but there's no hard end it's just "use your best judgement."

Meanwhile, I'm in bed by 9 to get up at 5 every morning (because I need a while to fully be mentally functioning in the morning (it's an issue no matter when I get up, and is why I get up so early in the first place), and even a day off will screw up my sleep schedule for weeks).

I'm not going to be doing laundry that early on weekdays, because I don't have time most mornings, this is purely a Saturday/Sunday thing because that's when I have time to do my laundry.

The sound proofing in the laundry room is pretty good, you can't really hear the machines going unless you're right outside the door and even then it's very muffled.

I can't easily keep an eye on the laundry room and just wait for someone else to start theirs, because the laundry room is on a different floor and honestly the elevator is even louder, so that going up and down every ten minutes is going to be a lot worse.
