SUPPORT THE SLDP AND VOTE BRIANSTAN

I arrived at the Semyonovo International Airport on the morning of 21/06/1956, setting foot in Soviet territory for the first time in my life.

The crowds waiting on the platform were immense, and there standing as a friendly giant was Lupid Freshchkinev, the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet- something akin to an head of state, I recon. The Chairman stood right there in o greet us, smiling wide; just a few weeks ago, their government had smuggled Dorian-produced missiles in their country. Today, they met me with handshakes, broad smiles and a sea of flowers.

Mr Freshchkinev, I came to discover, is a man that has a taste for the finer things in life, despite being of humble extraction, as one would expect from a country that champions itself as the dictatorship of the proletariat. He greatly admired my personal jetliner, and I could swear I saw a sparkle lit in his eyes at the mention of it being my own property, rather than it having been assigned to me by the Dorian Republic.

For being the most powerful man of such a cold place, Lupid is an incredibly warm individual, having buddied up to me almost immediately- of course it’s obvious he’d be acting this way in sight of diplomatic talks, yet he persisted with his friendliness as if he was the best actor of Large Theatre of Vespow, so I like to think at least an ounce of it was genuine.

Topic of discussion varied greatly, from the ongoing Mangolycian Chaos to the far nearer crisis of the Surxian Ballistic Missiles. In the end, Lupid and I met the situation as it was and the Chairman disclosed projects that were received with the Ballistic Missiles, granting them to me in exchange for pardoning the perhaps unorthodox production of such warheads on Dorian soil without the federal government knowledge- and of course for us to let them keep those they already had. If nothing, we at least now regained the projects for the very same missiles the Soviet have in stock, so I suppose it makes us even.

It is a shame we haven’t been as capable of finding compromise in the case of Mangolycia, and the wider discussion surrounding “spheres of influence”. As of now, there are three large blocs in the world: the Sorgish Colonial Empire and their historic rival and strangest bedfellow the Empire Coloniale Farendien; us, Doria and our Lithian and Dane partners; and obviously the Comintern of the USR and RZEE. Lupid hinted that one day the larger divide of the world would have been between East and West, strongly implying Doria would have championed the latter and the USR the former.

But enough pipedreaming, we live in the present and must act as such. I left Vespow with much hope that, during my mandate, Chairman Freshchnev and I, who are so similar in our sense of duty to our state and have both served in its armed forces, will let our nations know peace between one another, in spite of all tension that may brew.

I have arrived at the Lordan International Airport the morning of 18/06/1956. The Sorgish First Lord, Ronald Arrow Baxter, welcomed me as I took off from Doria’s Sky jetliner that had brought me there.

The United Kingdom reasonably is much more worried of the future of Western colonies in the East than we are, thus this became the main topic of discussion during the meeting. While the Rhodeslands and the Cape’s independence movements have been thus far contained, the Ambazonians have been far more turbulent in their pursuit of autonomy.

However discussion has also revolved around the increasingly cold relations between Krukland and Sorland, as the Sorgish Government increasingly worries about the Kruks’ ambitions to unite all of the Nordic people under a Kruk Empire.

I have delivered a brief speech to the Moot of Sorland, translated on the spot by the First Lord’s interpreter, assuring the representatives of the joint Houses of Lords and Folk that the Second Republic of Doria would have defended the sovereign nations of the West from Krukkan warmongering.

While military cooperation to contain Krukland is all but assured, given the UKS’ character in approaching Doria with the topic, we haven’t managed to settle for a possible economic integration, as the Sorgish market is far better off without integrating with our Western international one, due to their colonial dominions granting great profits and leverage in the world market.

Alas, I had the chance to exchange with Eddard VIII in a lavish state dinner held at the Lordan Eye, and I must say despite the critics against him at home he is a pleasant gentleman with a certain charming character; no wonder he was the first of the Sorgish Kings to break tradition to marry with a Dorian divorcee, as much scandal as this action originally caused.

I believe my next state visit will be to the Union of Soviet Republics, to pursue the world tour I have embarked upon.

Now, my friends, it is trite to say that this is a day of dedication rather than triumph. But in my heart swells pride and solemn humility in equal measure at the decision made by the Dorian People. My shoulders feel heavier, not just with age but with the Atlantean task placed upon them, yet stay assure I will not give short weight to the celestial firmament upon my back.

This Crusade for good governance we have won in full, and I thank all those who worked hard to make this a reality. I extend my warm thanks and hopes that the day when I can extend my more personal thanks to every Dorian is closer by the minute.

«I swear to be faithful to the Republic, to loyally observe its Constitution and Laws, and to exercise my functions in the exclusive interest of Doria.» and swear I do upon the Constitutional Text itself.

And now we cannot now do all the work ahead of us except as a United Doria, so let us set aside our rivalries and in politics and show the world what Doria is capable of.

Let us unite, for the better future for Doria, for our children and grandchildren- who have a place in my heart my every living breath as a grandparent myself-, so let us work together, all of us, for a common cause.

Further on, the Green-Snusky Provision Act signed previously is repealed.

Released on order of the Minister President of Surxia

Shortly before the inauguration of President Napeslap Operation Free Skies was implemented by the order of the Minister President. Under the plan all missiles were immediately taken from their holding position in the northern port of Surxia, Thurcas to cargo ships heading towards thr democratic people’s republic of kile to refuel, then to the Union of Soviet Republics. In order to ensure that no Surxian government could ever take advantage of the plans again they were also shipped away. The plan was completed before the promulgation of the missile act, and therefor completely legal. The evacuation went on exactly as planned. Our legal scholars assure us that this whole plan was legal, since the act is not retroactive.

Note that the KPD is not the closest for the SLDP, but rather USDP but doe to Green's wishes for the colour of LARP SLDP got the KPD treatment.

The modern sciences and deeper knowledge of itself allowed humankind to develop the greatest wonders for its own preservation, but as the Titan Prometheus taught us merely preserving doesn’t suffice if you don’t develop what you have- make it better.

As I climb atop the podium outside the Capitol in New Callens, at first the crowd roars with noise.

As I grab the microphone I firmly say “Ahem” and as the crowd quiets I declare “Just as our great republic continues into a new chapter of its life, so do I continue into a new chapter of my life.”

after a short pause I continue “As I look back on these past 2 years I have bittersweet feelings. On the one hand, u/Good-Moat451 was a great president who was humble and did not overstep her authority. Despite our ideological differences, I also had the opportunity to work with some incredible people in the senate. On the other hand, we have yet to solve many of the issues our republic has been facing. we have an uncertain future as we must face the pirates, and we lack a criminal code, and our population is dropping rapidly. That said, I believe with strong and committed leader and a hardworking honest populace, I believe we shall overcome these issues”.

The crowd applauds, then as the applause subsides I resume “And this, my friends, is why I am running for president with the TLP and Liberty League. While I found my time as senator very worthwhile, I feel that at this point it is time for me to pivot. I plan to respect our rights and liberties and abide by the constitution just as our president Good Moat has, but I also plan to take a more active role in addressing the nations issues and providing decisive leadership“
