I just streamed it - i don’t understand how this movje got made. Does Stephen Spielberg just get a free pass in Hollywood to do whatever he wants? This movie made no sense
I don’t get why the firth guy goes back and forth between trying to kill them and letting them get away and do whatever they want. Did they really just roll in an alien on a wheel chair and a 1950s hairdryer over its head at the end? What’s even the point of the two main characters ? There’s literally nothing awe inspiring about anything they do - why does the movie try to make her out to be some Temu Jesus ?
What the hell did I just watch - where am I ? What year is it?

I feel that Demme’s use of the actor looking directly into the camera is that secret sauce that made the film so unique, as he used in his other films. I’m surprised no other director decided on that cinematic language to bring unity to the “series”.
Thoughts?

I just watched the trailer for this and it seems promising! I actually have no idea who Elizabeth Holmes is. Do you guys think I should look into videos about her out of curiosity or watch the film blindly?

Honestly I hope it's a great entry, I was sort of disappointed by Supergirl and this looks like a great time, considering I'm a big fan of horror. I really hope it's good because the DCU is honestly in great shape so far even though one film was pretty weak. Marketing has been great and I've been fully convinced that this film will be awesome. What are your thoughts?

I was watching the ALCS and saw and ad for the, “cat in the hat“ movie. At the end, the voiceover said, “only in theaters”.
given how people consume media today, why would a prediction company elect to release a movie, “only in theaters”?
does this mean “limited theaters”?, only in theaters until the rights are acquired by a streaming platform?

I haven't seen Digger yet, but I wish I had. I keep noticing is that the marketing sold it as Cruise in heavy makeup, a Southern drawl, and a "comedy of catastrophic proportions." Everything about the film's actual hook was kept under wraps. Now that it's in theaters, a lot of the conversation is about the twist, and it seems to be the main thing driving curiosity.
I don't want to spoil it, as I haven't seen it but does anyone think they did the opposite and should have at least tempted us with a bit if its story?
The film is on track for a pretty rough run, so I'm wondering: would telling people there's a big twist have helped?
