Got tired of answering the same "CPU 100%" questions in my server, so I built a custom AI bot to handle tech support for me.
Hey everyone. I help run a community where players are constantly asking the same questions about FPS drops, stuttering, and 100% CPU usage (especially guys running older rigs like a GTX 1650 Ti or 16GB RAM). They always ask how to tweak distance scaling or set up Process Lasso properly.
I didn't want to pay a monthly subscription for those premium Discord bots, so I spent some time building my own using Groq's API and Llama models since it's completely free to run.
Now, whenever someone complains about lag, they just ping the bot. It instantly gives them a step-by-step optimization guide formatted perfectly for Discord, and it actually remembers the context of the conversation if they ask follow-up questions. I even set it up with a simple .bat file so my other admins can run it on their PCs without knowing any Python.
Just really proud of how this little side project turned out and wanted to share! Has anyone else tried integrating AI to automate their server's support channel?

How should I instrument a Discord preview → PATCH pipeline when full enrichment may finish first?
I'm developing a Python asyncio Discord notification bot that monitors blockchain transactions. It uses PostgreSQL for durable delivery state and has an optional Fast Alert pipeline.
The intended flow:
- Send an early preview containing only sufficiently verified evidence.
- Save the confirmed Discord message ID.
- Update the same message with the complete card using PATCH.
- Preserve recipient authorization, delivery ownership, revision checks, reorg handling, and duplicate protection.
What I've observed:
During one production session, we recorded 41 full-card Discord API ACKs:
- Average source-to-full-ACK latency: 1.34 seconds
- Median: 0.96 seconds
- P95: 3.21 seconds
- Under 1 second: 21/41 cards
However, there were no [FAST_PREVIEW] markers in the session logs.
This does not necessarily mean the feature is broken.
The feature defaults to disabled, and its effective runtime setting for that session has not been confirmed. Some events may lack the minimum verified evidence, and the implementation intentionally skips preview when full enrichment finishes first.
Simplified scheduling code:
This is a sanitized reduction of the preview scheduling logic, not verbatim production code.
minimum_future and full_task represent existing asyncio Tasks/Futures. The full task represents enrichment/routing readiness, not a Discord full-message ACK.
Recipient authorization, durable ownership, detailed error handling, revision checks, and POST/PATCH implementation are intentionally omitted.
import asyncio
import logging
logger = logging.getLogger(__name__)
async def maybe_publish_preview(
*,
enabled,
minimum_future,
full_task,
is_eligible,
publish_preview,
):
# These early exits are currently silent.
if not enabled or minimum_future is None:
return
await asyncio.wait(
(minimum_future, full_task),
return_when=asyncio.FIRST_COMPLETED,
)
# Prefer the full path if it is already ready.
if (
full_task.done()
or not minimum_future.done()
or minimum_future.cancelled()
):
return
minimum_evidence = minimum_future.result()
# Includes evidence validity and recipient checks.
if not is_eligible(minimum_evidence):
return
# Full readiness may have changed.
if full_task.done():
return
# Abstracts transport and durable ownership.
result = await publish_preview(minimum_evidence)
# Logged only if the call returns.
logger.info("preview_result=%s", result)
What concerns me:
Several execution paths return without explaining why no preview was sent.
Also, .done() is true when a task completes successfully, fails, or is cancelled. In this simplified flow, those outcomes are not distinguished.
Likewise, minimum_future.result() or publish_preview() may raise an exception before a preview-result log is recorded.
This makes it difficult to determine whether:
- Fast Alert was disabled.
- Minimum evidence was unavailable or insufficient.
- The recipient was ineligible.
- Full enrichment finished before preview.
- Preview was attempted but failed or produced an uncertain outcome.
- Preview was acknowledged and later updated successfully.
My questions:
- Instrumentation: Which counters, structured reason codes, or trace events would you add to distinguish these paths with minimal runtime overhead?
- Task lifecycle: How should successful completion, exceptions, and cancellation be distinguished when using
asyncio.FIRST_COMPLETED? - Delivery correctness: How would you correlate source-event identity, preview HTTP ACK, durable PostgreSQL ACK, message ID, PATCH revision, and final full-card completion?
- Latency measurement: How would you measure source-to-preview ACK and source-to-full ACK separately without double-counting events or treating preview as full completion?
- Testing: How would you validate concurrency, cancellation, reorg, ambiguous HTTP outcomes, and full-ready-first behavior without artificially delaying enrichment to force previews?
My goal:
I want to reduce the time until users receive their first useful Discord notification, ideally below one second when possible.
However, I don't want to weaken financial/security verification, send duplicate messages, update the wrong message, or incorrectly mark a preview as a completed full alert.
I'm looking for instrumentation and validation strategies before changing production behavior.
I can provide small sanitized code excerpts or synthetic traces if needed.

How do I add a reaction role without doing my whole channel over again?
I use sapphire for my reaction rules. I just decided to drop my age on my server and I want to add another column for 18 - 20. How do I go about doing that without having to redo the entire channel? When I went to Sapphire‘s dashboard, it showed me code, but I don’t know what the code is for what I’m trying to do. TIA!

Rumble integration question
Just wanted to start this off with. I'm using Text-to-speech, so please excuse any weird grammar that it comes up with
So my issue is I've been making a discord bot that makes it so it gives notifications like many other bots do, but my biggest issue has been, I'm trying to integrate rumble, like the platform rumble, and my biggest issue is while I know I can use things like RSS. S feed, or I can use the API that is private part channel. I want it to be something that anyone can use to basically get notifications. Because so many platforms just suck at their notifications. And of course, it'll be used in discord servers too. I'm already using it, but I can't find a way to contact rumble to see if I'm allowed to use. RSS feed, and they don't have a public API. Does anyone know any approved way to monitor it and grab notification information from rumble from channels, or if there's a way that rumble will actually respond?

Introducing Anivonix — a Discord support automation project for community owners
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone,
I'm building Anivonix, a Discord community support automation project aimed at paid communities, course creators, and community operators.
The problem I'm trying to address is repetitive support work. As a community grows, moderators can spend a lot of time answering the same questions, helping members find resources, and organizing support requests.
The goal with Anivonix is to make those workflows easier to manage through configurable, knowledge-based support automation while keeping humans involved when needed.
I'm currently working on areas such as:
- Knowledge-based answers to common questions
- Support ticket workflows
- Community administration and moderation automation
I'm being careful not to promise features or results that haven't been verified in the actual build.
I'd appreciate feedback from people who run Discord communities: What's the biggest support problem you'd want a bot like this to solve?
Disclosure: I'm the person building Anivonix.

DCFIGHT bot unavailable after Privileged Intent verification submission — Discord Support hasn't responded
galleryHello everyone,
I'm looking for help with an issue affecting my Discord bot, DCFIGHT.
My application has reached 10,000 users, and Discord notified me that my bot's access to Privileged Gateway Intents requires review. The notification states that the deadline to submit the review request is November 26, 2026.
I previously submitted my application for intent verification, but I'm currently experiencing a serious issue: users can no longer add or use my bot as expected.
I've checked the Discord Developer Portal, and the Privileged Gateway Intents are still enabled. I've also tried contacting Discord Support, but I haven't received a helpful response so far.
I'm not sure whether this issue is related to the intent verification process, an application restriction, or something else.
Could someone from the Discord team please review this situation or point me toward the correct support channel?
Application details:
- Bot name: DCFIGHT
- Application ID: 1480223312708632758
- Issue: Users are unable to add or use the bot as expected
- Intent review: Previously submitted
- Supporting evidence: Screenshots of the official Discord notification and Developer Portal settings
I would really appreciate any guidance from Discord staff or developers who have experienced a similar issue.
Thank you for your time and help.

• [Request] Looking for a volunteer Discord Bot Dev & Builder for Heavy Realism PoT Server (Theme: Paleontological Documentary) 🎥🦖
Hello everyone!
I am launching a brand-new Path of Titans Heavy Realism Server with a unique cinematic twist: the entire project is themed as a Paleontological Field Expedition Documentary.
Staff are the "Film Crew," players are the "Prehistoric Fauna," and our rules are structured as "Ecological Species Dossiers." I want our custom Discord systems to feel like an immersive nature documentary hub.
Because this is a passionate project with zero starting budget, I am looking for a talented volunteer (or team) who would love to help build this vision for free to gain experience, expand their portfolio, or join us as a founding staff member.
What I need help with:
• Discord Server Builder: Someone to set up a clean, immersive channel layout, configure aesthetic category headers, and map out a heavy realism structure (Nesting requests, Rule Break Tickets, Profile roles).
• Bot Developer: Someone to build or configure a script with a Six-Tier Weighted Mendelian Fauna Roller. The bot must manage our entire custom roster divided across 6 distinct size tiers (Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Huge, Apex), locking the Apex tier behind a strict 1-in-40 (2.5%) chance per player roll.
The Custom Bot Logic Requires:
1. Size Tier Selection: Roll the size category (Extra Small through Huge vs Apex) using weighted probabilities.
2. Mendelian Skin Inheritance: Roll visible or recessive skin variations based on input data from the nesting parents.
3. Pigment Morphs: Calculate three specific mutations (Melanistic, Piebald, Albino) with a dynamic lineage rule: if one parent has a mutation, the chance for offspring to inherit a mutation increases by +5%.
4. Sensory Deficits: Roll independent physical defects (Blindness and Deafness) that permanently affect player gameplay rules.
5. Camera Trap Integration: Automatically hook into an image folder or URL dictionary to randomly append a high-quality gameplay picture of the rolled dinosaur directly onto the final field report card embed.
What you get:
• Full credit on the server as our Technical Director / Lead Developer.
• A permanent, high-ranking staff position if you choose to stay.
• A highly unique, complex game-system project to feature in your personal portfolio or GitHub.
Security Note: To ensure safety for everyone, Discord setup will be done via a custom sandboxed "Builder" role with specific permissions (Manage Channels/Roles/Webhooks). Absolute Administrator or Server Owner status will not be transferred.
If you love dinosaurs, programming, paleontology, or heavy realism gaming and want to help build something incredibly unique, please comment below or DM me directly! I have a complete Python data dictionary and blueprint ready to hand over. Thank you!

I made a Discord bot that DMs you for different events on the stocks you follow
galleryI trade on the side and needed a tool too monitor the markets better. So I built Edger Bot.
You add tickers with `/watch` and it messages you when one of them:
- files anything with the SEC (8-K, 10-Q, Form 4, S-1, etc.), with a link straight to the filing
- shows up in the news
- has insiders buying or selling on the open market (the alert says who, how many shares, and for how much, not just "Form 4")
- reports earnings or goes ex-dividend the next day
Other stuff:
- `/filingfilter` and `/newsfilter` so you only get the forms and headlines you care about
- `/sec` and `/news` to search past filings and articles
- `/insiders AAPL` for a company's insider trades over the last year
- `/econ` for CPI, payrolls, jobless claims, PCE, etc. with charts and release alerts
- tags to group your watchlist (biotech, earnings plays, whatever)
- bookmark any alert and see it on a price chart later
You can use the bot only in DMs if you trade solo or add it to your community.
I uploaded some screenshots from discord commands.
More info: https://edgerbot.com
Happy to answer questions in the comments.

I hate double counter
why do i have to get automatically banned from ANY discord server that uses double counter? even if i never joined that specific server once in my entire life???
its completely understandable if it only bans alt accounts that are associated with an account that got banned once but in my case i get kicked out from ANY discord server that uses double counter,it annoys me so badly i dont understand how people dont hate on this bot
i literally got banned from three servers i never set foot in my entire life,not in my main account nor my other alt account this bot is so annoying

NSFW Bots - No AI NSFW
I used discord years ago and a server I was in could be commanded to display nsfw art images (no real photos). We would give it silly prompts and laugh at the results. Are there any bots that can do this currently for free and without generating images via AI? I want to see art that already exists, I don’t want to generate anything.

How do you track your discord bot's analytics?
just so im clear right off the bat, im not selling anything and im not posting links...
im a developer who is new to the discord bot scene and im working on a monitoring tool for discord bots. i want to understand what you fine people use/need/want in a monitoring tool for your bots. I KNOW people who know what they are doing can easily make a monitoring tool for themself, but i guess my tool would hopefully make it easier for people? (and be super cheap so its a no brainer lol)
if you guys could answer my questions below, even just one answer helps:
- How many servers is your bot in? which library (discord.js, discord.py*, JDA, etc)*
- How do you track usage today, if at all? logs, your own db, grafana, posthog, statcord, somethign else?
- What stats do you look at when tracking?
- How do you find out if your bot is down or broken? users complain, uptime pinger, alerts, luck?
- What was the worst incident you've had happen reagarding your bot? and what wouldve helped prevent/fix it?
- For those who built their own setup, what's annoying about keeping it running?
- Have you ever paid for anything for your bot besides hosting? What would make a monitoring/analytics tool worth paying for & what makes it a dealbreaker?
- Wishlist.. Is there anything you wish you could see about your bot, but cant?
Thanks for taking the time to read my post, I hope to eventually work with you all someday. Mods, if i broke the rules here somehow, please let me know!
Edit: I will have a free plan for smaller bots with plenty of event monitoring capabilites, gotta look out for the little guys :)

Is it hard to make discord bots?
ive been thinking about making a discord bot of my own for a few servers of mine since it seems alot cheaper and more practical than paying 80$+ a month for a bunch of bots for each thing i need, i know close to nothing about coding but would love to learn.
The bot i need is for a project i will be doing in around 2-3 months. Is it possible to learn coding and make a bot in that time and is it too hard?
( This post is NOT me asking for someone to make a bot or looking for a everything bot, i just want to learn )

DONT USE THIS DISCORD BOT (MIRA)
I want to make it clear that people should NOT use this Discord AI slop bot. The people behind it are very strange, and they falsely advertise their AI- generated piece of garbage as better than the other shitty $ 30 bot called Bleed. It may be free, but everything comes with a price, and in this case, I want to point out that the people behind it are odd, weird, and, most importantly, shady worth avoiding.
First, let me be clear: I've used the bot before, and it was mostly okay, even though it' s a Claude- generated bot that raids other Discord bot rivals servers like Greed, Stain, and others, and member bots its own support server to seem more believable. Their whole image is based on the fact that everything they offer is free and that they have better features than paid bots or other bots. They target shady communities to use their bot, and, most importantly, they create drama with people who used their service before and then stopped.
I don' t want to make this whole post long and fill it with proof because, realistically, you can expect this from an AI- generated piece of garbage that builds its whole support base by forcing people to use its bot, but I also want to mention how terrible their support is. If you want something added, like a new feature, or maybe you' re having trouble with something ( a very common issue in their support server because, guess what, their bot is AI- generated and slowly breaking down ), you will get called slurs, mocked, and clowned by the staff. Realistically, this is a VERY bad image for the bot and makes the user experience bottom tier 😂
(theres images that i cant post but if you want to see them let me know.)

They also advertised their AI slop in subreddits ( one of the posts I found https://www.reddit.com/r/discordbots/s/X2VZcOAbFw) and were met with hate toward their garbage bot and criticism for falsely advertising their commands as 1,922. Then they proceeded to talk shit in their bullshit support server. I explained my points that are 100% true (you will see them under here in more detail) , and I want to point out other issues some people told me to mention here that are not 100% confirmed:
- Logging messages ( this could be reasonable for bug fixing and stuff, but the people told me a different story, and it doesn't make this whole post any better)
- Checking what servers use Greed, Stain, and other free alternatives to Bleed to invite the owners to add Mira (I'm mostly sure this is real; I've seen them do the ,ui and expose the mutual servers for users and bots)

- Begging and forcing people to use their bot (This links to the previous statement, as much as I want to believe this is not true because it would drastically make things worse by forcing people to use their bot, I'd see something like this coming from their slop bot packed with slow-breaking down features)
100% confirmed:
- AI Slop (I do NOT encourage people using AI for stuff like this. If it's a passion project made for a couple of servers, it can be reasonable, but this bot is aiming and trying to get spots higher by doing what I previously mentioned here. They shared pictures in their support server showing Claude chats and asking for the AI to fix bugs or help them fix it. As much as this can be okay, I do NOT want a Discord bot to use any bit of AI in its source code, but realistically their whole website and bot is made with AI, which can be seen by trying out some commands)
- Raiding other bots servers (This is confirmed, and they even shared pictures of themselves making alts on Discord to raid support servers of other bots and encourage people to use their service, as you might guess this is unironically the worst thing you can do for a new bot that wants to grow)

- DMing and pressing people for not using their bot anymore (Happened to some people, they got pressed in dms by the direct owners for not using their bot and compared their slop features to other bots features to point out how effective their AI garbage is (it will slowly break down and make your whole server that functions over the one bot have 0 ways to recover) which yeah makes this even worse)
- Shit behavior and support (Oh my! This is a very hot point because they do this all the time; you ask for something? Get greeted with a random guy (which is not a random guy but one of the owners acting like they are an active member in their own support server 💀) to absurdly say you are retarded for wanting that feature or needing help with something. Listen, if you don't have the patience with people, why do you even want to run a Discord bot that is aiming for the #1 spot in multifunctional prefix bots? Then I guess you are not made for this. Also, let's mention how they will ping everyone for everything possible. I've seen a lot of people telling them to stop, and what do they do? Make a command that individually pings users to get their attention and also spam-ping everyone. Like, what are we doing, bruh!!!!)

- Copying features (I've seen them add features right after they were created in other popular servers. They are doing this, of course, to get more people to use their AI slop garbage!! I do support people getting inspiration, but this is getting bad. Are you going to raid servers and then copy their own features? Doesn't this sound so ironic and funny?)
- Botting their support server member count (They said other servers did as well, so why shouldn't they? Maybe because I'd like to see an honest server that doesn't have to boost its member count to make it seem safe to use?)
- Advertising 1,922 commands but are we sure they are all commands? (not trying to brag but hey bro you do NOT have 1,922 commands, if you are gonna count sub commands then i might aswell say the most performative bot got 6,521 commands per one module lol)
I don' t expect people to believe me with this, and I can easily add proof for each point, as much as I can, of course. They deleted most of the messages and also pressure people in DMs for not using their bot.
I will try to post this in other subreddits to make it known, and I will most likely be greeted with their alts in here saying it's all fake! Make sure you don't use any of these bots like Bleed, Mira, Stain, and others, but support passionate projects that aren't being made for stupid shit

EDIT:
I've found out by more people that they are trying to take down this post and getting people in the comments to "glaze" the bot, also they are trying to r3port my post and comments about their bots. It is clear that they dont want this to go anywhere and they are trying to put it all under a carpet. On top of this i found out the owner of the bot is a white teenager who says the N-word around, which is quite funny.
ANOTHER EDIT:
Their support server is filled with a bunch of white racist kids (like the owner of the bot), also transphobic as well. Screenshot taken in the Mira support server with the people being openly transphobic? Theres more like this but this is definetly not a good look for a support server by having transphobic members stay there.
ANOTHERRR EDIT:
they made a big ass announcement which i responded to them 2 days before they made it, i dont know why reddit didnt want people to see it but here it is https://i.imgur.com/q1llPS2.png
Read down 👇
They "shut down" their server because they know they are wrong for letting their friend joke about a minor egirl , calling us "weird" is ironic when one of their friends is doing this and other stupid shit. They also nuked general chat like 3, if not more, times recently, so there's definitely something wicked going on. So yeah, the next checkpoint is actually stopping your bot since most of the servers use it for feeds, and the feeds are slowly breaking down...
