Weekly Update of the Devils Pain Meter (Link on Profile)
Score: 4. I know people are gonna comment it should be higher and I get why, but it’s too early in the season to hit the full panic mode.
However, this team is a complete shell of itself. It’s like a group of people who don’t communicate or have any idea what they are doing. It’s honestly impressive they are winning games.
Fire Keefe or make some roster changes or something, but it’s early enough for things to change.

Should add a special “Chico is sad” reading for when we aren’t mad, just disappointed.

There’s no way that the “who may get traded for Quinn” scuttlebutt from last year is still impacting this locker room, right?!

There are cliques in that locker room.

And? That happens in work places. If the team generally gets along that’s all that matters. The whole tension in the locker room crap is tiring. Team wins = good locker room vibes. Team loses = gloomier locker room. I bet the flight back from Detroit was a lot more lighthearted and cheerful than the flight to Detroit. It’s human nature.

There are cliques in every locker room and workplace in the world

I don’t know why you are downvoted for this. It’s true. Call them cliques, friend groups, whatever you want but some groups of people are usually closer than others at work. As long as everyone generally gets along and is productive who cares. Not everyone has to be BFF.

I think the obvious implication from the original comment is that it's beyond a normal/healthy level and that not everyone gets along.
Not saying I agree but that's why people are downvoting the person missing the point.

I feel like this is a huge locker room problem. They boys never look enthusiastic and out on the ice nobody seems to care.

I’m more at a 5 mainly because we we’ve only (barely) beaten bad teams and have gotten destroyed by good ones. But I do agree it’s too early to be in full blown panic mode

I love this... but out of curiosity why don't we have an post that askes the community for where their heads are at

Read the comments of my last post and you’ll see why haha. I don’t want to sound ungrateful. I love hearing opinions and I do take them into account, but a lot of people were already at a 7. I get emotions are high; however, I don’t want the fluctuate from 2 -> 7 in like a week. Especially in October

but that's just your opinion and not the community.. i understand for the sake of the discussion like if you're at a 4 but 80% of the commmunity is at a 7 it sparks comments and engagement but maybe there's a way to average it out to capture the community. idk maybe i'm being too democratic about it lol

I have genuinely thought about it but the two reasons I didn’t are
1) I already get people complaining about weekly posts, twice a week would really set them off2) when would I do it and for how long? A lot of things can change based just on the game. Let alone a Tuesday night game before the post on Wednesday. It can be skewed by the post time

I hear you... these are my suggestions
post once a week with your traditional stuff and then have a 1 liner that says "community sentiment score" or maybe the printed paper has 1 arrow for you 1 for the community.
I'd just pick a day of the week, call it friday, leave the poll open until the day before you normally post it.

It's his pain meter. He created it. The level is his. It is something to spark discussion. I have my own meter on my fridge.

I no longer like this chart. Too eye opening to the pain i feel on a weekly basis.
I prefer to lock it all up and pretend its not there.
