Discussion πŸ’πŸ—―οΈ Does anybody know what this style is called?

There's a style that's been haunting me the last few years. So far, I haven't found a name for it or even that anybody has identified it as a style. The best description I have for it is "2000s vector art". It's typified by

  • logos (often used as background elements)
  • bright, vibrant colors
  • simple shapes, often repeated
  • straight lines, stripes, arrows, etc. used to give impression of movement or dynamism

I've attached a few images that I feel represent this style. It feels post-cyberpunk, because it sometimes uses elements that look like they're inspired by computer interfaces, but it's all very clean and polished, not gritty like cyberpunk.

Any information or commentary on this style is appreciated, especially if somebody can tell me that this has been written about and/or named.

They're all different designs actually.

First one is 90s (i.e. Y2K) futurism/vectorheart.

Second one pretty sure is metalheart.

Pretty sure the rest are vectordelia (or what people tend to call frutiger metro), but that last one might be something different still.

These are a combination of vectorheart, Frutiger Metro, and metalheart.

They all have subs on this site that you can check out!

First one reminds me of asiimov. They are all very much earlymid 2000 photoshop designs. I remember seeing a ton of these on the background of youtube videos for songs.

Wow this takes me back! Computers and the internet were still fresh and full of ideas and possibilities. People still actually listened to music. What a time.

2advanced.com. This guy was the king of this style via his old Flash sites. Looks like he’s brought them back.

Wowsers, The Rise! Haven't thought about them for a while! Think I maybe saw them supporting Snapcase back in the day?
