Discussion So they cut the event currency from missions to a third

So I just checked out the missions for the new event. First I thought I was going paranoid with all the situations lately where Behaviour has cut down things (anniversary cakes etc.) because I couldve sworn it used to be 75 currency per mission. I scoured around for screenshots for an old one and sure enough, right there from the last halloween event it is. 75 Event currency per mission.

Im pretty sure the last halloween event ran as long as this one is supposed to go and there is about as many rewards with pretty much the same prices, so getting the event rewards just got three times as grindy and the bloodpoints you get from leftover currency at the end have also been cut by a lot. Another step in the wrong direction, behaviour, without any communication, trying to make the grind longer and longer in secret. Why are these guys so stingy with the damn bloodpoints and event rewards?

I'm guessing they lowered it because this year part of the daily login reward is the event currency. Same thing they did a while back with lowering how many rift fragments you got from the regular quests and making doing the daily quests more necessary as an incentive to play every day.

Does it give event currency every login reward? Cause last year it also gave it on some of the days. In any case, turning DbD more and more from a fun time into a chore.

Yes looks like every login has event currency. I believe the total from logins is going to end up being 1000-ish?

Guessing it's because you get 50 a day for just logging in

I guess youre right. Still a step in the wrong direction in my opinion.

They also have the new milestone trinkets, which give 400 total extra, so combined with the dailies it at least makes up the difference, and you don't need to get all of them to get all the rewards. Likely just trying to get folks to log on more consistently to get events that aren't 2v8 better numbers

Not only do we have the daily login rewards but we do also get the milestone quests, which is new in comparison to last year, and gives a total of 100 event currency each, so 400 in total.

Pretty sure there were also milestone quests last year, but it does seem to be because of the daily login.

Looking at the wiki milestone quests are not listed.

And doing the math, this year could be better than the last one overall (only what is available at launch)

Last year with week 1 + completion + permanent quests gives a total of 575 (375 for week 1, 100 for the other two).

This year you get 400 for the milestones, 200 or 300 for completion, 125 for week 1 and 100 for permanent, so a total of 825 if we go on the lower end (and without login rewards)

Of course they het stingy. I have noticed from prev events that the amount may change in later weeks. My main issue is how some of the challenges dont work. I have to do at least 2 killer ones to get all the rewards in event rift. Im sure ill get enough for the items in event store.
