De shortcut mod?

Is there a way for just selecting all military squads in de?

The closest thing you get is a hotkey to cycle (one at a time) through your idle military units; it can also be activated via blue button next to the minimap (I don't remember what it is by default since I changed it a while ago, you can look it up in the game)

To add: if you double click that button it selects all idle military units, which is probably the closest OP u/normamae is going to get to what they want.

I think it should do, not currently able to check but I don't see why it shouldn't work

I tried with macro programs and can't get it working not sure if I can do it successfully

I'll be able to check once I'm home. There's always control groups to have a single-button select for your units, though you'd have to add each new unit to the group manually.

Finally managed to get chance to check and sadly it seems like double tapping the key doesn't have the same result as double-clicking it.

Yeah. Drag a selection box around them, like normal, and then hit ctrl+[any number.] You now have a "entire army" control group. Just press that number again any time you want to select all military units.
