Well i got notice. Because im 35 and my grandparents moved here from pakistan in 1947. My grandparents are dead and gone 20-30 years back. But all my family members got( hell my parents are biggest fan of modi because they full time watch republic tv so they dont understand whats really happening). I mean we are hindu and everything and love india. We have passports,ration cards, aadhar cards, voter cards you name it. Neither me or my parents( who are between 65 and 70 now)have ever seen pakistan in our life. But yet...

Don't believe you, have you recently shifted across states or your parents shifted? Were their documents in order as well?

Did they give any reason behind SIR notice. There always is one that notice.
Did you appear for enumeration again. Did you have to refill form 6?1

Honestly ive given up. Ive moved to another city with my wife( in the same state). And the form went to my permanent address where my parents stay. My parents have been urging me to fill the form but they have given hearings on weekdays when both me and my wife are super busy and struggling to make 2 ends meet. We just want peace- no protest or anything but will live with the fact that our votes wont count anymore.

You can also ask your BLO to move your vote to where you live right now. Also your school has leaving certificate copy, you can get it remade from them.

Boss where my voting rights are denied in a place where ive lived between 1998 and 2023 how can i ask for them in a new place. Understood the more practical way is to not give a f*** and hope that the people who brought about this shit are doomed. Just to prove im a citizen is going to cost me 15-20 days of pay- no thank you

You have moved, that means you have changed your constituency. You should be voting from where you have moved rather than where you were 3 years ago.

Not the point. The point is even my parents( who have lived there since almost 30 years) have got the same notice. and what if they were not struggling like i am? Would they have time to do all this? And would that mean they couldnt vote? See the larger picture brother. And that picture is someone cannot just come and tell you to "prove that youre a citizen" or get the hell out because you dont belong here. Nobody has the right to say that and thats what these guys are protesting about and thats why i hope theyre successful

And im still making ok money to sustain ( very difficultly) but the guy whose working on dihaadi( in a similar situation like mine) which is a big percentage of our population is just going to say screw everything( and like that there are millions). Hope you understand

They have asked me for aadhar passport school leaving certificate ( which i have lost as i graduated school in 2007). And because of that i guess my vote wont count
