New grad with 2 offers. Which should I take?

Hey everyone, im 23 and I graduated recently with a degree in CS and minor in finance and after a brutal job search I’ve been lucky enough to get 2 offers! I’m struggling which one to take though so looking to the internet for advice.

Job A is with a major bank for a traditional AI Software Engineering Role where I’d be working on developing features, tools, etc for their trading platform team. It’s a hybrid 9-5, 3 days onsite.

Job B is a more broad IT role at a hedge fund where I’d still be doing some AI implementations, and software tool development, but I’d also have to do some analog work like fixing broken printers and helping traders if there stuff is running slow. It’s also hybrid but 8-6 (occasionally more), 4 days onsite.

The base salaries are the same, Job A has slightly better / more benefits, but Job B the bonuses are insane and bring the TC way over, potentially even higher second year the CTO told me.

I’m really struggling with which to take I’d appreciate any perspectives!

Mid-20s, at the lowest point of my life, and getting zero interviews. For those who made it out—is the grind actually worth it in the end?

Graduated in 2021 and worked outside tech for 5 years. Do I still have a chance of landing an entry-level job?

I graduated in 2021 with a master's degree in Computer Science, but I've been working in the food industry since then because I've always loved cooking. My original plan was to open a small restaurant, but life happened, and my plans changed.

Now, I'd really like to transition back into the tech industry.

I know the job market is tough right now, especially for entry-level positions. That's why I've been working on updating my skills and earning certifications, including CKA, AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03), AWS Developer Associate (DVA-C02), and Terraform Associate.

That being said, I understand that certifications alone won't get me a job. I've also been building personal projects to gain hands-on experience. I am also reading DDIA and system design interview books. Besides, I have practiced decent number of Leetcode questions. Recently, I developed a web application for a small business to accept customer orders.

I'm about to start applying for entry-level tech jobs in software development. However, I'm honestly worried about having no professional tech experience since graduating five years ago.

I'm based in the USA, do not require visa sponsorship, and am open to relocating anywhere in the country.

Do I still have a realistic chance of landing an entry-level tech job? Has anyone here been in a similar situation and successfully transitioned into tech?

I've been reading posts in this community, and honestly, some of them have made me pretty scared about entering the job market right now.

I'd really appreciate any advice, suggestions, or personal experiences.

Thank you!

How are developers actually diversifying their skills and finding new career opportunities?

What actually counts as "entry-level" anymore? Published IEEE research, robotics, custom OS tinkering, 2 internships, and I’m still screaming into the HR void.

Are there any successful recent CS grads out there?

I feel like I’m not gonna have much luck finding people on here that aren’t struggling after getting a CS degree. Mainly bc I think the only people on this page are people who are struggling otherwise they wouldn’t look here for advice. I’m doing ok rn I graduated with a BS in CS back in December 2025 and I am currently working two Tech-related jobs that I believe I can build a career off of. They don’t have anything to do with coding, they’re more hardware/troubleshooting/service desk related. However, I just want to know if there’s anybody that’s graduated as recently as me that’s actually having success or if the job market is doomed and there’s not really any career advancement opportunities in this field. I think I’m doing good rn but I want to know if I’m giving myself a false sense of hope lmao.

Hey everyone! 👋

Can anyone share links to Telegram, WhatsApp, or other channels where I can get regular updates about hackathons happening across India? 🇮🇳

I'm looking for platforms that share upcoming hackathons, registration links, deadlines, and opportunities to participate in both online and offline events, especially AI/ML and GenAI hackathons.

It would be really helpful if you could share any useful communities or resources. Thanks in advance! 😊

I built an interview question bank that helped me crack a product-based company 🚀

During my interview prep, I wanted a better way to identify frequently asked questions instead of solving problems randomly. So I built this:

What it offers:

  • 54,000+ interview questions
  • See how many times each question has been asked
  • Filter by company
  • Filter by DSA category, topic, and difficulty
  • Sort by question frequency to prioritize your prep

A quick disclaimer: it's still a work in progress. There are discrepancies in the question data, frequency counts, and categorization that I need to fix, so treat the results as a useful guide rather than definitive statistics.

Ops/QA professional (10+ yrs) transitioning to Product Management, looking for guidance and openings

Thumbnail drive.google.com
1 Upvotes

Hi all,

I'm Harshada, based in Bangalore (open to Hyderabad and remote). I'm making the switch to product management after 10+ years in quality, training and operations, most recently at Accenture working on product rollouts for a global social media platform.

What I bring: I've turned product and policy changes into training at scale, spotted adoption problems from frontline feedback, and built automated dashboards with SQL, Python and Looker Studio. On the PM side, I completed Airtribe's AI-First PM programme and built portfolio projects with PRDs, user research and a live AI MVP.

Here is my portfolio - https://the-minimal-viable-harshada.lovable.app/

What I'm looking for:

- APM / Associate PM / PM roles, startups and product companies in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai or remote

- Referrals or intros if you're at a company that's hiring

- Advice from people who made a similar switch from ops, QA or support: what worked, what didn't?

If this isn't the right place for job leads, please point me to the right thread or community.

Thanks in advance!

A student with masters and 0 knowledge seeking job

Hi everyone, I am an Indian student completing a master’s degree at a tier 3 college and feel I lack knowledge in my field. My logic building is weak, making even basic structures difficult, yet I aim for a career in software development. I was never serious, but I somehow achieved average or above-average marks.

My CV is empty of projects and internships, containing only basic formalities and languages; peers in my batch seem far ahead. I simply want a role that could help me build my career. I hope to become a ServiceNow developer later, but currently I have little knowledge and dislike the technical side because logic and mathematics feel beyond me.

I need guidance on what to do over the next three months to secure a job or internship. I can dedicate eight hours daily to study; sitting that long is hard, but I must because I have no other choice. I am seeking a roadmap and a mentor—I know this is a lot to ask, but I am depressed.
