Beginner friendly tools

Hi everyone, my classmates and I are planning to make a workshop for cybersecurity tools for our other classmates. I’m planning on teaching them about encryption, I’ve been looking for easy to handle/beginner friendly tools for that. I looked into AGE and GRG, and online tools like cyberchef; do you think these will do, or do you have other recommendations that are better and more practical for beginners?

PS: when i say beginners we really beginners like some of us are just starting with Linux fundamentals.
