Is this individual having a medical emergency? Or hair caught on the drum?

Dude with his phone…
“Bro I’m sitting watching a guy make out with a snare and it’s sounds better than Lars on St Anger at least”
15
u/Azrethoc 3d ago
I remember my dad playing Metallica all the time. Then he bought St Anger. He was excited. Then he played the album. I've spent the rest of my life making sure I never disappoint him as much as that record.

Why subject the kid to all that??

u/SonofaBridge 3d ago
At least the kid and family are laughing. They know it’s weird and silly.

You'd be surprised with how much sick and downright mentally ill crap you can get away with by labeling it as "artistic expression". Which is then allowed for the whole family to see.

u/jackbear0410 3d ago
Lookin at you Alex Grey! 🤨
2
u/wormy_Burroughs 3d ago edited 3d ago
well unlike the fellow humping the drum, Alex Gray is actually talented so maybe he should switch the drum for a woman's corpse and see if that works out for him like it did for Alex. 😮💨
can't seperate the artist from that particular art, sorry!
tldr; The guy that does all of Tool's album art raped a woman's corpse when he was younger and called it performance art. No one ever seems to talk about this because Tool fans

If I was forced to do this in school I'd make my "song" 2 hours long and if they try to cut me off I'll scream at them IM NOT DONE! STOP INTERRUPTING! YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELF!

I witnessed the craziest shit today. A man, or what I presume is a man, who seems to be in some sort of weird chaotic/romantic love affair with his snare drum. At first I thought it was nonsense, and the further the performance went on my deduction was proven true. That man IS fucked up, and IS in a relationship with his snare drum. Anyway, moms having meatloaf for dinner tonite, so that’s cool

I've known a guy like this. Just lived to make people uncomfortable. Real piece of shit. And This was before cell phone videos, thank God.
Always made me think of the line from Trainspotting; "Begbie didn't 'do drugs, he did people" only instead of violence like in the movie it was just cringe he craved.

This guy tours all over the world regularly. He's actually a solid drummer but I bet he realized he could book way more and get paid doing this instead.

As a friend or family member, you have the obligation to bully your loved one when they are pursuing embarrassing shit, so they don't make a fool out of themselves for strangers to see.

He is clearly suffering!

Someone needs to make sure that he doesn't choke on his own tongue. Keep him on his side.
I'm all for unique expressions and such, but this is just cringe af and looks like he's pitching a fit (medical episode).

Snare drums are loud. He spends a lot of time playing it before he ends his concerts with these shenanigans. Nobody ever shows the playing part b/c , well not as much to shit on there. Sorry for the actually informative answer.

The guy that 8 hours before this abortion of art, talked my ear off at a party how Neil Peart from Rush wasn’t “a good drummer, no seriously bud, he wasn’t and I’mma let you know why…”

u/RocktarPeppe 3d ago
I dated a girl who really prided herself on her music taste and knowledge. She grew up as a die hard Beatles fan and was a musician herself, so music was her life. Two moments stick out to me: When she emphatically assured me that Long Tall Sally was a Paul McCartney original, and when she tried to tell me that the drummer of Yes, Alan Whyte (can’t properly spell his last name in this sub because apparently colors are banned words, absolutely pathetic) was more iconic than Neil Peart. I never trusted her music knowledge after that lol

I saw one where someone laid down on a block with a pillow and started to doze off in front of a crowd... AND THEY CLAPPED FOR IT! If taking a nap is all it takes I'm starting to think I can actually become an artist and make millions.

Absolutely no talent but wants to be an artist so they revert to this and some consider this art. A form of expression yes, but more like a medical episode.
