Ive worked at a pizza place that took EBT. They had to order it for at home bake. We couldnt cook it unless they paid us a cooking service fee.

Some places in my city get around that buy saying “You Buy, We Fry.” Like you buy the chicken raw, but they cook it for you as a complimentary service. I can’t believe that loophole actually works, but there’s a lot of them in my side of town.

Not in California. IHOP & Carl's Jr. both have signs advertising that they accept EBT.
Frustrating when you're a working class guy barely scraping by, & getting takeout even once a month is a Luxury.

It's a separate EBT program, that you have to be eligible for, for people that don't have houses or live in situations without cooking appliances available to them.

I can't make out what she's actually angry about from the audio, but when I was a manager at dominos, that lady would have been kicked out real quick. There wouldn't be any discussion to resolve the situation, I'd ask her once to leave, then be on the phone with the cops when she inevitably refused.
Would never let them come behidn the counter and abuse my employees like that.

Part of my new hire training is telling my new hires that if something like this happens, they won't get in trouble for anything short of slurs or swinging first. I want them to know that getting screamed at isn't part of their job. You can see if someone else wants to handle her, you can call me if I'm not there, and you can refund her and tell her she's not allowed on the property, and call the police if she refuses to leave.
I've been EXTREMELY lucky and never been stuck getting screamed at, I've always been given the leeway to keep dignity and walk away or trespass, so I definitely don't want my employees thinking they deserve to just stand and get screamed at for X dollars an hour

I used to work at Dominos and I can tell you from experience, these people do NOT get paid enough to deal with this. Also, the $6.99 mix and match deal is the best bang you can get for your buck there so there ya go.

I’ll never understand why people speak to people making and serving their food this way. I won’t even complain if I don’t like the food, I just won’t come back. I’ve worked in restaurants. Things like this post aren’t far off…I’ve had to stop coworkers from doing stuff like this.

Used to work for QT where we have a specific way of counting back change. We count the change back first to the next dollar, then the dollars back.
So if a guy has to pay $28.37 and he gives me $100, I count back 3 pennies, one dime, two quarters, then 1 single, a ten, then 3 twenties ($71.63).
Once it becomes habit it made us ridiculously fast at counting back change.
Once had a guy fly off the handle at me because I counted his change back too quickly (he thought I was trying to scam him).
Then when I did it slowly he flipped out again because he thought I was being condescending.
When I did it a third time, he didn’t like the tone with which I counted back to him.
I quietly apologized and then handed him off to a coworker so I wouldn’t lose my shit.
He then complained to my store manager about my lack of customer service and I got a talking to about being more accommodating.
Yeah, I don’t work there anymore.
