It is actually her. Just search if you really wanna fact check but I just did it so no one else has too….if you search “Natalie Reynolds”, you’ll find both this stupid glitter dumpling and articles about her telling that woman who couldn’t swim to jump in a lake (and then her and her crew just fucking leaving the woman in the water and driving away).
It’s literally insane kids think these influencers are so cool (and also that they need to have a social media presence at all).
These days it feels like crimes don't get punished at all. I have no idea if she got in trouble for it, but the internet at least never lets her live it down. It always gets brought up
My son popped one and my daughter had a legitimate meltdown that I wasn’t expecting. And they are gross. I hate the squishy toy craze but my kids love them.
I used to be ‘with it.’ Then, I realized ‘it’ was a bunch of stupid assholes deliberately overreacting to minor shit to get views, and realized I didn’t care.
It’s stupid for adults, but weird squishy things for kids isn’t all that bad. Not nearly as bad as those toy sets from the 50’s where kids could make radioactive clouds and shit.
Capitalism to the max. Eventually everything becomes gambling. It's fucking crazy. You know I was born in 88 and when I grew up the closest thing to gambling that we had which is legit was Pokemon cards. Of course there was baseball cards and all that other stuff too. But now it seems like it's way more prevalent and it's a huge thing for everything
It’s consumerism to the max more than capitalism. A capitalist focuses purely on obtaining added value. It’s consumerism that reaches the point of no longer caring what gets consumed, as long as it’s “more,” giving us these real life loot boxes.
I would talk shit, but I totally fell for Polly pockets, the stupid at home manicure sets all of the bullshit. I fell for as a child or convinced my parents to fall for essentially. So I can’t really talk shit on this.
With how many products like this now I’m thinking this is a part of a coordinated campaign to get children into gambling or wire their brain to gamble.
I can see why she is so excited. You buy a mystery box and then if you get the glitter dumpling you win either 1 million dollars or you can have glitter in your crap for the rest of your life. I know it’s stupid like who would choose cash over life long glitter dumps but they give ppl the option. She definitely has the “omg my bf is gonna be taking golden shits” look on her face. I’m happy for them.
Women of a certain age are obsessed with all the weird things like this. They wait at target in the morning to get them for themselves, it’s like cringiest thing ever
I shall translate to the best of my ability from my 30 mins of diving into the “squishy” loot boxes rabbit hole.
Irl loot boxes are extremely popular among certain circles, most commonly in the female centric social circles and online communities (imagine the folk who don card pack openings, same deal!). A common form of media in this community is to do “unboxxings” where they take these irl loot boxes and open them blindly hoping for a super rare item.
This video in particular is a semi common video form where a woman (or man, doesn’t really matter. It’s just that women are more common) take their partner and have them both open one of the boxes they bought. In this case it’s a “squishy” which is a stress ball. Often the partner has no idea what the hell they’re doing as they’re not aware of the hobby or form of media their gf/bf is making with them and doesn’t understand what they’re looking for or why it’s so important.
This video the guy gets a “super rare” squishy to which his partner (the woman) knows the value of and freaks out in excitement. Because the man has no idea what the big deal is, her reaction causes major confusion and concern.
The over reaction is a common occurrence in this community.
Forgive me, I must now rest as the cringe has probably stolen a third of my lifespan.
People do little things like this for engagement bait in videos nowadays. people will intentionally put food in their teeth, add something out of place in the background, or do this so that people comment pointing it out. Like you. Then people like me respond…. Then that’s another comment... God dammit… I hate this…
apparently theres one up for 300 on ebay? The "Gold glitter bao" "Viral Crazy Fun Original Mystery Dumpling Starlight Edition Super Rare Glitter" on ebay i dunno about links here just sayin, now u know why shes freakin out
Yes I watched a mini documentary about this specific phenomenon on YouTube. These squishy dumplings are the latest toy craze. They come in different colors and you don’t know what color you’re gonna get til you open it. The glitter ones are rare. People post unboxing videos on tik tok where they open a bunch hoping to get a glitter one which is the rarest, like getting a shiny pokemon.
My eldest daughter, and all her friends, are obsessed with these things. They're just squishies that got famous because of social media and everyone wants to collect them now. The glitter ones are super rare, hence this grown ass woman losing her shit.
I imagine the glitter dumpling is the rare dumpling. Much like a person opening trading cards and getting the big hit, the girl is going off over getting the big hit.
I guarantee, when she flushes her toilet, she tells her poop, in a child's voice "bye bye" with a sad look on her face as her turd spins in circles until its gone. Then casualy skips through the house because she just lost some weight and all she had to do is sit down for a couple minutes, Now believes she has found a secret to weight loss that she can sell in her new 3 hour tutorial video.
Just a guess based on her "easily impressed" feature.
